As I ran back the other way to my meadow, where the bear was, I was thinking where Alpha could have gone. Well... um... maybe she went even further into the forest?! I tried to make reasons of why I couldn't find her. I didn't want to end up like that white wolf, so I ran even faster, panicked for Alpha's life. Even though I haven't known her for a long time, I felt as if we'd be friends forever... And I didn't want my only friend to die...

When I reached my flowery meadow, the white wolf was still there, but the bear, gone. This was a nightmare.. a living nightmare.. that I couldn't wake up to. I trotted over to the ripped-up dead wolf. It was a male. I pawed his body softly, no response. i sighed heavily. I wonder if he was trying to kill the bear... I thought. Maybe he was, or maybe he was trying to get away from it. He was very sweet looking, on his face it looked as if his last expression was relief. Relief of finally dieing probably.. I felt sad for the male wolf, that his life had to end like this.. He had beautiful golden eyes. I was lost in my own little world of sadness, when all of the sudden I heard trotting of a wolf heading this direction. I looked up to see who it was. At first I got very excited and thought it was Alpha, but then I looked.. and it wasn't. I sighed again, sad. This wolf had white fur, also like the dead wolf at my feet. It was a she wolf. But this wolf wasn't fully white. She had dark gray markings from the top of her head and the tips of her ears, down the spine, a little on the front legs, a little on the back legs, her tail and a little around her eyes. She had lighter gray on the side, stockings on the front and back legs, on Her stomach up to her chest, and on her mouth. She had a brown spot just above her nose. She was beautiful.. She also had shockingly bright golden eyes.

"Hello," She said curiously. "is something going on?!"

"Well... this wolf has been killed by a bear... but I don't know when.." I let my voice trail off.

"Oh. Hmm.. Strange.."

"Yeah I know... Also my friend dissapeared and I have know idea where she is. Maybe you might have seen her.. She has light and dark brown fur, and amber eyes.." I said, hopeful that she might have just seen her.

"Um.. well... sorry no. But I'll help you look if you want me to!" She smiled brightly.

"Oh, thanks," I said. "Whats your name?"

"I'm WindRush," She quickly glanced at the dead male wolf looked back at me. "you are?"

"Overrated," I smiled. I totally forgot about my hare that I never finished, and noticed I was hungery again. I slowly walked over to it, picked it up, and walked back to WindRush. "Sorry, I forgot about my hare that I was eating a while ago, and I'm hungry again... so..." I said as I put the hare down on the ground.

"Oh yeah its ok! I don't mind... but when we look for the friend of yours, can I lead the way? If you don't mind...." She asked kindly.

"Um... you serious?" I tilted my head, thinking through what she asked me for a second time.

"Yeah!!!!" She cried.

"Well... I guess...." I said sadly. and dipped my head down.

"YAY!!!" LETS GO!!!!" She shouted loudly, over excited.

"Ok.."

I really didn't want her leading the way.... but if it means finding Alpha, I'll do it. As we trotted to the cliffs in the dim sun light, I was thinking again, once more, where she might be.. that is if she IS still aliive..
