"NO!!" I shouted as I leaped into Kahitra, sending him flying. I hit the ground with a loud thwack.

I landed on my side, my head spinning because of the sudden crash. I felt a sudden sharp pain in the back of my neck, but I shook it off.

It took a few seconds to get my vison straight. I could hear a low snarl from behind me. I whipped my head around and saw a wolf staring me down.

I growled in defense, but stopped as I noticed the stranger was not the huge male I thought it was, but a small petite female. Her coat a shivering bone white, except for a gray patch on her right eye. She was so beautiful, but haunting. She stared at me with her dark brown eyes, with a satisfied smile across her face.

"Well hello there." She spoke coldly, narrowing her eyes with suspicion.

"Why did you just try to kill him?" I snapped in the female's face.

"Why do you need to know?!" She snapped back.

I got agitated then, getting up onto my feet and clicked my teeth near her face, showing her I was getting irritated. A low growled ripped from my throat and I slowly stepped forward, staring her down with my deep amber eyes. It was like as if I could see down into her soul. As if I could reach down and take the life out of her..

Just then I heard something shuffle from behind the female.

"What is that?" I said, alarmed.

"Don't worry. Gosh. It's just my pup, Lily." She rolled her eyes and turned to pick the white pup up, and carefully set it down in front of her.

I stood, frozen in place with my eyes wide.

"What? You look like you've never seen a pup before."

I couldn't think of what to do then. I just sat there blinking for a few minutes, while the female and her pup were staring at me like I was crazy.

How could I forget!? I am such a horrible father! I forgot about my own mate and pups..

I would never forgive myself for this. I slowly turned my head to where Kahitra was now laying, motionless in the sunlight. I quickly turned around and started to dart the other way. I wouldn't ever let this happen again. Ever.
