Each time I would think of a pup, I would get mad because it reminded me of my past, and what could have been.

I shrugged off the thought of becoming mad and stared ahead at the giant trees that hovered above us. The leaves danced in the breeze that swept through the sky, making a soft whistling sound. The birds flew high in the blue sky, chirping their hearts out with the songs they are destined to sing.

I sighed as I looked over to my right at BlackOut, who was happily bouncing along with his sister Blood Angel. Blood Anegl snorted and nudged him out of the way to dance ahead of him. BlackOut frowned, sadly dragging along at the though that he was rejected.

When Blood Angel reached me, I growled softly and nudged her side. She whipped her tiny head over at meet my eyes.

"Blood, why did you just treat your brother like that?" I questioned her, stopping in my tracks and letting Ryan and the rest go ahead of us while I stayed back with her.

"I'm sorry, I-"

"No excuses!" I barked. "If you be mean to anyone else, I am taking you directly back to the den and we can stay there until your father and siblings come back. Understand?" I spoke through clenched teeth, on edge.

Her ears went flat on her head and she looked down sadly. "I'm sorry, mother. I guess I got greedy and pushed him out of the way.."

"Apparently.." I growled under my breathe. "Now, why don't we go find your siblings and father?" I suggested as I licked her ear lightly, forcing a smile on my face. "Would you like me to carry you?"

"Yes, please." Her tail wagged slightly, not wanting to be harped at again.

I nodded as I picked her up by the scruff of her neck with my powerful jaws. I got a good grip on her with my teeth, but with not enough presure to hurt her. I smiled sadly for no reason as I set off farther into the forest with Blood Angel in my mouth, only to try and find where the rest of the pack were..
