Chapter Twenty One

Liam's POV

We ended up in some abandoned storage warehouse.

I have no idea how I was going to make this work. It was rusty, dusty, and musty, but it was also the only place that probably wouldn't be searched, and if Gaylor isn't going to help Stiles then I'm going to have to do it myself.

So if that monster drained something out of him, or maybe he put something in? Maybe Stiles is doing this to himself in a way? I have absolutely no idea how Stiles works, I mean, I barely know how I work.

Stiles let's out a groan from where I left him, and it's either because he's waking up, the infection is spreading even farther, or worse, both.

I need someone smarter than me to do this, but the only person who knows how to cure Stiles is Stiles, and maybe Jackson since apparently he saved Stiles the last time, but this isn't his magic going crazy, this is literally something that could kill him if we don't figure out a way to stop it.

"G..t Ly..a." Stiles slurred out from his position on the floor. I couldn't really tell if he was actually awake or not, or if he was just high from who knows what. Either way, I couldn't tell what he was trying to say.

"Stiles, what was that?" I asked, kneeling down to his level.

"Ly..a.."

Wait was he saying Lydia? As in Lydia Martin, the one who's waiting at the penthouse freaking out about what she just found out.

"Okay Stiles. I'll call Lydia."

My phone was out of my pocket in less than a second and I had already dialed her number before two seconds were up. She picked up on the first ring.

"No time to explain. Meet me at the warehouse at...." I just realized that I have no idea where I teleported us to. I don't know they state at all, and I'm acting like I know everything,"actually hold on for one second." I looked through one of the dirty windows outside to find some sort of hint as to where we were.

So far nothing, and that's not a good thing, because if I can't figure out where we are, then I can't tell Lydia where to come to to help Stiles, and Stiles will die.

Then a spotted it.

A park across from the park, and the park had a sign on it that I could barely make out if I focused on it enough.

Happy Place Safe Haven.

Really?

That's the best they could come up with? Jeez, that's just disappointing.

"Come to the warehouse across from Happy Place Safe Haven Park. Come alone, unless you absolutely have to bring Jackson." Then I hung up before she could even respond.

Don't have time for the chance of an answer I don't want.

This way, she'll have to come because she knows I'm expecting her to, and Lydia isn't one to let people down when it comes to them needing her. Or just in general.

"You just gotta hold on a little longer Stiles."

I really hope he wasn't in danger of dying, if he was then that would seriously suck. Like be literally be terrible.

"No one's going to find us here. Especially not those pesky power rangers." An unknown voice spoke up from the entrance of the warehouse.

Crap.

Was this a monster. Did we have a monster in the same warehouse as us?

Stiles groaned from next to me, and I literally had to clamp a hand over his mouth and drag him behind three stacks of crates.

We were both still in our suits, but Stiles's had a huge chunk missing out of the chest exposing his wound. If it needed be, I could try to defend the both of us, but it wouldn't last as long as one might think it would.

"I drained one of the ranger's magic from him. It's not going to be long before they find me and take it back."

So this was the monster that hurt him? I honestly didn't think they'd be stupid enough to stick around, but here they are in the same house as us.

Wait a second.

Lydia is on her way here right now. I have to tell her to turn around and go back to the penthouse.

I went to pull my phone out of my pocket, but it slipped and went crashing to the floor.

Now it wasn't super loud, but it was silent in here, so anyone that was listening could've heard it.

"Did you hear that?" Monster number one commented," whoever is there, come out now! We will not hesitate to shoot."

There is no way I was going to expose our position. If I did that then I risked Stiles's life to the monster that put him in this position in the first place.

But if I didn't go out there then they were going to find us and we would both be compromised. If I wanted to protect Stiles then I needed to give them something else to look at.

"Stay here okay? I'll be back in a minute." I whispered as quietly as I possibly could.

He wasn't aware enough to know what was going on, but he knew that I was here so that's a good sign.

So I ran quietly to a different part of the warehouse and flipped out into their vision.

"What's up fart face, or should I say fart faces. Who knew their could be such an ugly pairing."

Sarcasm and jokes were definitely Stiles's forte. Yeah I'm going to stop that now.

"There's only one of them? Which one was the one you shot?" Monster number one turned to monster number two as he asked this.

"It was the blue one. This one is probably going to be even easier to take down though."

They both turned to me and I readied myself in a fighting stance.

"Well come on then. Let's see what you got."
