"Sweetie what's got you so down" Kelsey asked Rob as she placed her arms around him while he sat at the kitchen table.

"I can't stop thinking about everything that's happened these past few weeks. How could she use us all like that, the lies, the manipulation, pretending to be all our friends. And Tim, Chance...what she's put them through the past 5 yrs...I don't know how their relationship will be after this. They've been so close since Chance joined us. That's got to be quite a strain on them. And now this with her father and Tim" he replied holding her hands.

"I know, I never dreamed she was like that. She always was so nice, helpful, sincere. It's kind of scary too. I mean at what lengths would she eventually go to get Tim out of the way, ya know.  Oh, I just can't think about it" she shuddered, hugging him tighter.

"I guess some people will do anything for so called love" Rob replied.

"How is Tim, have you talked with him since he went home to Tennessee " she asked.

"I've wanted to, but you know how he is, he'll always say he's fine" he told her.

"Is he there alone or did Dena go with him" she asked kissing him on the cheek before sitting down across from him.

"They went home until the trial. She looked as if she was overwhelmed from it all, understandably. Emily and Bobby went back with her" he explained.

"What about Chance" she asked pouring them each another cup of coffee.

"He went to his place in Alabama. He stayed with Tim day and night in the hospital till they began with the therapy dog. He was advised to give them time to acclimate to each other and suggested a separation till Tim gets evaluated. Personally, I don't think that's a good idea, they depend on each other more than they care to admit" Rob stated.

"Someone needs to be sure he's ok, what about Adam" she stated.

"He feels the same but knows we can't push Tim. You know how stubborn he can he" he replied. Kelsey nodded in agreement. "The last we all spoke the agreement was to meet in Wisconsin for Jenika's trial."

"And when is that?" she asked putting their cups in the sink.

"When Tim is well enough to testify, it's been put off till then. I hope that's soon" he told her kissing her on the cheek as Lydia came running in.

"Daddy, will you play with me outside" she smiled jumping up and down.

Scooping her up, swinging her around she giggled as they head out the door.

Adam called yet again without any responses back from Tim. He grew worried that something may have happened.  He didn't want to alarm anyone, he even contemplated flying to Tennessee to check for himself till he decided to see if Chance had heard from him.

Grabbing the phone from the counter Chance saw the caller ID was Adam. "Hey what's up" he answered.

"Have you heard from Tim, he's not answering my calls" he asked.

Chance explained that he came home and that Tim in fact was ok. He was at his place resting for the time being. There was no sense divulging anything  personal that was happening with Tim, at least not for now.

"Ok, well they are moving up the court dates" Adam advised.

"Dates? What do you mean dates " he questioned.

"Apparently her father wants a public trial now to tell his side of the story, to prove his innocence " Adam explained.

"Innocence my ass, more like ignorance believing her and backing her accusations " he retorted.

"Hey, you and I both know he's guilty as hell. Our attorneys want Tim there  before he's healed. They want to prove how he's suffered as their defense" Adam told him.

"Oh great to add to the spectacle, just fucking great" Chance replied.

"You have to admit, he nearly killed him. Proving what the son of a bitch did will be alot easier if he's there" Adam told him.

"Man, I don't know if he will. I'll talk with him and have him give you a call in the morning" he told him.

"Alright, try to convince him Chance. The sooner he can get this over with, the sooner he can get his life back " Adam asked.

"Convince him, I cant even get him to let me in let alone convince him to deal with that bastard too" he thought ending the call.

He stood at the window gazing into the night sky, longing for Tim to be by his side. He loved him, he really loved him more than anyone before, more than he ever thought he did Mina. He was worth fighting for, he knew Tim had feelings for him too, especially after playing over in his mind the times he'd taken care of him. He saw it in his eyes, it was there. Was he afraid to show it? To admit he could love a man as he had a woman. He wouldn't push him into anything he didn't want, but he was determined to show him what was really true.
