I was a long forgotten creature,

I had been here from the beginning. 

However...Not everything good stays. 

As I had to watch as the population of my followers slowly but surely dwindled.

At least..

Until she waddled along.

The small tan-skinned child stumbled to the foot of my shrine, shooting a nervous glance to two other children, who only replied with grins and thumbs up.

Their long dark hair would flow as a gentle breeze passed, and I could notice their hair was close to their calves. Presumably Feminine.

The child clutched a small wrapped candy to their chest, slowly reaching their arm out and placing it at the foot of my shrine, where a small silver bowl rested.

Then they ran off, getting punches on the arm, and affectionate noogie-ing from their friends.

Hm.

I glanced down to one of my statues engraved on the wall, then transferred my consiousness, ripping that statue off the wall to grab the bowl.

How did they know my favorite?

Here I was.

The only worship I got was from demons who believed what made my worshipers disappear.

That I was fallen from grace.

It was nice to have visitors, at least.

And they tried their best.

So I tried mine.

And yet... Here I was.

Speaking to a lower being.

And granting every wish it had, just because it offered a single peice of candy.

Around this time I learnt their name.

They were a little girl, by the name of Yuki.

" Can You make my milk be chocolate milk?" Yuki's voice interrupted my thoughts.

" Chocolate Milk?" I asked. " As in Milk with Chocolate flavoring?"

Yuki nodded, lifting up their glass of milk.

I hovered my hand over the cup, the milk turning a soft brown color, and Yuki happily sat next to me, drinking her now chocolate milk.

Sometimes I wonder how a child being egged on, turned to having a new friend.
