The 'You' in this has long hair so they aren't really 'you' it's more of a first person perspective of an unnamed character.

You had spent a weekend at this daycare.

Your parents weren't able to be in the house for you, so this was the next best option.

You had made best friends with this boy named Pudge Chels.

He had medium length black hair.

Which was kind of odd, but oh well.

You faintly remember him putting beads and dandelions he had found in your hair.

You'd go home all bedazzled to be greeted with parents fussing over your hair.

They were never fans of bright colors.

Pudge brought many things for show and tell.

He brought sparkly nail polishes, colorful hairclips, and his rainbow loom bracelet kit. He said they were 'his sisters' but she wasn't going to use them anymore.

You remember hiding out with him under one of the slides, watching him teach you how to make one.

He then messed around with your hair again, and added dandelions and some brightly colored beads, all in the order of the rainbow. He offered a few hairclips, but you denied.

So he asked you to put them on him!

You both looked like goofballs when you got out from under the slide,but the teachers didn't ask anything.

You both rushed to another one of your hiding places, so Pudge could paint your nails, and you could paint his.

You also remember rushing to get all the accessories off at pick-up time, after Pudge had left.

The clattering of plastic toys was a large occurance in your backpack, you had to tell Pudge about all the sweet new food toys you had gotten!

But he wasn't there when you arrived.

You looked almost everywhere! Under the slides, In the ball pit, in the cafeteria, in your 2nd hiding place, and then you found him.

He was sitting in one of the slides, crafting another bracelet.

You sat next to him, shaking your backpack, and Pudge looked up at you with a grin.

You showed him all your new toys, and you spent a while playing with them. He was even open with playing with your dolls. 

Now that you realize it, Pudge didn't hang out with the boys. 

He didn't hang out with any other kids at all, actually.

You came back on a saturday, going to the daycare was a weekly occurance you always looked forward to. Making popsicle stick frames with sparkly glues, Doing Pudge's hair, playing with dolls, running around, having slide races, having a ball fight in the ballpit. 

Pudge wasn't anywhere this time.

But you DID hear something coming from the bathroom.

You think he's in the boy's restroom, so you wait outside on one of the green benches.

Two boys walk out, so you wait a little longer.

Pudge comes out of the restroom, with a black eye and a bruise on his arm.

You gasp and run towards him, grabbing his face and asking if he's okay.

Pudge brushes your hands off, and assures you he's fine.

He's not.

anyways so this was originally going to be the

but i decided against it because i realized i was drifting away from that concept

so yeah, Pudge and his homie.

Y'know when you're little, and gender roles are everything?

Pudge was raised differently, and he likes things that go against those.

He's just the weird kid.

Our unnamed bestie, however..

super cool and understanding. they don't know about those gender roles.

Pudge doesn't fit in with the girls because 'he's a boy.'

and he doesn't fit in with the boys because 'he's too girly.'

So Pudge is just fine with his unnamed bestie and platonic soulmate!!!
