As winter passed dayclaw had given birth to two pups. She named them water night and moonpound. They grew up learning how to be great defenders of the whole Forest.

They enjoyed hanging out with there father learning things from him. But one day as they were learning to hunt a whole pack of wolves srounded them. The pups were scared there father knew he had to be the hero. So he fought the pack as he told his pups to run.

But when they looked back they saw there dad being killed. They had tears running down there face. They said goodbye to there hero as they ran away.
