"How hard is it to find a gay person?" I exclaim exasperated. I lean back against a tree and huff. Jaxon walks over to me and ruffles my hair, laughing softly.
We've been in town for an hour and we haven't found a single gay woman anywhere. Estelle sits on a branch up in one of the other trees by the sidewalk.
Most of the girls she's hit on would either look at her with disgust after she flirts with them or run away. Estelle feeds a squirrel some seeds from her pocket as we wait for another single lady to pass by.
She accidentally hit on a married woman earlier and the woman slapped her across the face before storming off. After that, we made sure to look to see if the person has any rings before letting Estelle talk to them.
A girl that looks about Estelle's age walks by and looks up into the tree that Estelle is sitting in. Estelle drops down and talks to the girl for a while before exchanging numbers.
The girl walks away and Estelle skips over to us, showing the phone number that's in her phone under the name Suzy. There are three red hearts beside the name and I smile up at Estelle.
"Ask her on a date tonight. There's a good Italian place down the street," I tell her. She nods and texts Suzy to meet her there in three hours. Suzy replies as we walk back to our car, saying that she'll be there.
"Let's go to the library. I need more books," I exclaim as I get into the passenger's seat. Estelle hops in the back and Jaxon gets in the driver's seat, starting the car and taking off towards the library.
He parks in the front and we get out of the car, walking inside. There's a lot of kids running around and I look over and see that they're doing an event today.
I walk to the novels and pick out a few of them before sitting down beside Jaxon and Estelle. Estelle is holding a book on the different types of herbs and Jaxon is holding a horror story, the only type of book I don't enjoy all that much.
I sit down next to them and we read for a while before a person walks up to us and asks us to watch their kid while they use the bathroom. I nod and the little girl walks over to me with a book in her hands.
I pick her up and set he down on my lap, taking the book from her hands. I start reading to her and our of the corner of my eye, I see Estelle concentrating on the pages of the book.
Suddenly, as I'm reading to the little girl, the pages start to come to life, animating the story as I tell it. The little girl smiles widely and watches the pictures while listening to me tell the story.
Jaxon look over at Estelle and smiles. We finish the book and I follow her into the kid's zone while she grabs another. We walk back to the chairs and I sit her on my lap again.
I read the story and Estelle animates it. I close the book and her parent walks over to us with another person beside them. The little girl gets up off my lap and runs over to her parents.
She tells them about the stories I read and how the pictures moved and looked real. The parents look over at me and I shrug, knowing fully well that the pictures in the book were in fact moving.
"Thank you so much," one of her parents says to me. I nod and they walk away, the little girl waving to me as she leaves. I turn to Estelle and she looks at the ground sheepishly.
"That was amazing!" I tell her quietly. Jaxon nods, agreeing with me. She laughs and thanks us before going back to her book on herbs. I finish reading one of the books as my phone vibrates in my pocket, telling us that it's time to check out and leave so that Estelle can go on her date with Suzy.
I walk over to a cart and set the book on it. We walk to the check out area and wait in line so me and Jaxon can check out our books. Estelle tells us that she doesn't need the book on herbs, she just wanted to read it for a while.
We get to the front and Jaxon uses nonlinear card to check out our books. I put them in a bag and grab the receipt from the librarian. We walk outside and I put the books in the trunk of the car.
"Okay, what should I wear?" Estelle asks us. I look her over and tell her a green dress would look nice. She snaps her fingers and she's in a nice green dress.
She snaps them again and me and Jaxon are in collared shirts and pressed pants. We get into the car and I drive us to the Italian place. We sit in the car, playing on our phones while waiting for it to be time. 
I take a picture of me, Jaxon, and Estelle and then one of the restaurant. Estelle tells me I can post it before I even have the chance to ask so I do, writing that we're all going out to eat and that Estelle is going on a date with someone.
I hear the likes come in and I answer the questions in the comments, making up a story about how we met Estelle as no one would ever believe that she is a witch.
I look and see that Estelle followed us on Instagram and I immediately follow her back, editing my last post and tagging her and Jaxon. I look up and see Suzy walking into the restaurant.
"Time to go in," I say, unbuckling my seatbelt.
