She couldn't go to her. Could she?

It wasn't against the law, and it wasn't like people frowned upon it either. Maybe she was just nervous, unwilling. That wasn't unusual. The people who went to see the Wishgranter often felt as if the world was about to crumble.

People went to the Wishgranter when they wanted something. Or needed something, the Wishgranter wasn't picky about the wishes she gave out. The point is, they felt like they had to get a wish, and Kelley is now a part of them. Mary Sue was struggling, and the Wishgranter could help

Kelley took a deep breath. She was going to do this. She was going to see the Wishgranter, and everything would go smoothly. Her life would finally be the way she always wanted it to be. Perfect.

"It shouldn't be this cold in September!" Kelley grumbled as she put on her coat and stepped outside.

Leaves crunched under her feet as she made her way towards her car.

Chris didn't know where she was going; she told him she was going to the library for some books. He bought that but asked her to be back by ten; it was already late as it is. So, here she was sneaking out to find a magical being who was going to help her. Great.

The car jolted alive with a rattle. She was going to have to get that checked out. She backed out of her driveway and started driving.

No one knew where the Wishgranter lived. People said to drive until you see a stop sign that looks like a lollipop. Then, you make a sharp right turn, regardless of what side of the road the lollipop is on, and keep driving until you see the Wishgranter.

So that's what she did; for three hours.

Chris won't be happy when I get home, Kelley thought nervously.

She was thinking about turning around when a giant lollipop came into view. A lollipop with the words STOP written on it in big, bold letters.

Kelley yanked the steering wheel to the right and shot off into the night.

What was previously a thick forest quickly turned into a clear pasture. The darkness also let up to reveal a beautiful pink sky.

She was still driving when a voice spoke up beside her.

"Candy?"
