*Chad POV*
I'm woken up in the morning by someone bouncing on the bed. I open my eyes and see Lilly jumping. She looks at me, smiles, and keeps jumping. I look at my phone and see that it's 6:30.
"lil do you need your diaper changed" I ask
She nods her head.
"You sure" I ask
She just nods her head again.
"I hungy" she says
"Go wake Joey up. I'm sure he'll make breakfast for you" I say
"No know where woom is" she says
"Ok. I'll get up but let's go wake the guys up" I say
"Otay" she says
I get out of bed and pick her up. I go to Caleb's room first and put Lilly on the bed. She goes over and jumps on him. Caleb shoots up and Lilly starts giggling.
"Wake up Caleb. It's 7:45" I say
"So early" Caleb whines
"Get up" Lilly says
Caleb groans but gets up. I pick Lilly up again and we go to Spencer's room. I set her on the bed and she goes and sits on his stomach and hits his face and chest softly.
"Ugh. Stop" Spencer groans
"Wake up" Lilly yells
"Lillian don't yell its to early to do so" Spencer says
"Oh" Lilly says
"Let's go spence get up" I say
"Go away Chad" Spencer says
"Dude wake up. We need to finish some things up" I say
"Fine Chad I'm gettin up" Spencer says
"It's getting you dumbledorf" Caleb says
"Boys settle down" I say
"Yes master Yoda. You going to wake up young Luke? I'll go and take Lilly downstairs to watch tv" Caleb says
"Ok" I say
Caleb takes Lilly and goes downstairs. Spencer follows them. I head to Joey's room.
"Joey wake up. It's 8" I say
"At night" he asks hopefully
"No morning" I say
"Ugh Chad why do you always wake me up this early" he moans
"Because. Now get up." I say
"Ugh but I want to sleep. Me tired" he whines
"Joseph you are 20 years old. (I know this isn't his real age. Just for this story.) Get your lazy butt up" I say
"No. I'm sleeping" he says
"Joe even Spencer got out of bed and he's younger then you" I say
"Yeah but only 1 year" he says
I go over to the Windows and open the curtains. I then take the blankets off of Joey.
"Chad" he whines
"I'm giving you ten minutes. If you aren't up by then you're in trouble" I say
I walk out the room and go downstairs. Why do I have to be mature?
"Where's Joey? Why did I have to get up if Joey's not up" Spencer asks
"Joseph has 7 minutes to be down here or he's in trouble. Why do you three have to be so young" I ask
"I'm not young" Caleb says
"Caleb you're 23. That's younger than 27." I say
"Oh well." Caleb says
After eight minutes I go back upstairs to Joey's room.
"Joseph times up." I say
"How long has it been" he asks
"12 minutes. No get dressed then come downstairs. You have five minutes or the punishment will be worse" I say
"Fine" he groans
He gets up and I walk out. I go downstairs and get my shoes and socks on. Four minutes later Joey gets downstairs.
"You need sneakers and a jacket" I say
He walks off to put those on.
"Caleb I need you and Spencer to watch Lilly for a bit" I say
"Where are you going" he asks
"I'm well you see here it's been a bout a whole month with Joey waking up late so it's about time he gets punished for it. So he's going to do a little bit of intense exercise." I say
"Ok." He says
Joey returns and we head out to my car. We get in and I drive to the track.
"What are we doing Chad" he asks
"Um you are going to run five laps then do other stuff" I say
"Ugh" he groans
"Go" I say
He gets on the track and starts running.
*Caleb POV*
Chad and Joey leave and Lilly and Spencer come into the living room.
"Where Chaddy and Joey" Lilly asks
"They had to go somewhere. Now how about we go give you a bath and get you dressed into play clothes" I say
"Ok" she says
I pick her up and take her upstairs. I go into the bathroom and start the bath. I grab a towel from the closet and go back to the bathroom. I undress Lilly and place her in the tub.
"Bubbles" she asks
"Sorry Lils we have no bubbles. Maybe we'll get some from the store later on" I say
"Ok" she says
I wash her hair and body then get her out and drain the tub. I put a towel around her and take her to her room.
"Spencer did you find an outfit for her yet" I ask
"Um sort of" he says
"What do you mean by sort of" I ask
"I found jeans and a sweatshirt but I didn't find a shirt yet" he says
"Ok. Go put a diaper on Lilly while I grab a shirt for her" I say
He changes her diaper and I find a shirt. We get her dressed then head downstairs.
"Caleb hair please" she says
"Sorry Lilly girl I'm not good at doing hair. That's Chaddy's job." I say
"Ok" she says
"Caleb you have a sister how can you not do hair" Spencer asks
"Um I also have 2 older brothers. I hung out with them a lot" I say
"Chaddy" Lilly yells
I look at the door and see Chad standing there.
"Where's Joey" I ask
"He's laying on the ground trying to catch his breath." He says
"Why" Spencer asks
"I might have stopped at the end of the street and made him race me home" Chad says
"Ok. And Lilly wants you to do her hair" I say
"Can't you do it" Chad asks
"No. I don't know how" I say
"Come on Joey has only brothers and can do hair. How can you not" Chad asks
"What about me" Joey asks
"That you can do hair." I say
"Oh yeah that I can" Joey says
"Ok prove it. Do Lilly's hair" Spencer says
He picks up Lilly and goes upstairs. Chad comes over to the living room and sits down.
"We have to finish Lilly's room today. Who wants to watch her" Chad asks
"Let's ask Lilly who she wants to play with" Spencer suggests
"Ok and if it's me Caleb you're in charge" Chad says
"Alright" I say
"Who wants to play nba" Spencer
"Mario Kart" I ask
"No. There's a reason you have an Xbox in your room" Spencer says
"Guys we're playing madden on the wii" Chad says
"Ooh Chad I'm in your team" I say
"Sorry Cabey but you and spence are on a team. I'm on my own" Chad says
"Which version" Spencer asks
"The only good version. 08" Chad says
"Yes. I call Cowboys" I say
"Don't care I'm the Seahawks" Chad says
"Caleb do we have to be the Cowboys" Spencer asks
"As a matter of fact yes. Yes we do" I say
By the time it's half time and Chad's winning Joey comes down with Lilly wearing a hat and hood.
"Dude what's with the hood and hat" Chad asks
"Um revelance purposes." Joey says
He takes the hat and good off to expose a great braid.
"What type of braid is that" Spencer asks
"A Dutch braid" Chad says
"How do you know how to braid" I ask
"When I was younger I would play with my moms hair so she taught me how to braid it. As I got older I would learn how to do more complicated braids. My back up plan if music didn't work out was a hair stylist" Joey says
"Impressive" I say
"Ok Lilly who do you want to play with" Spencer asks
"Chaddy" she cheers
"Ok. Caleb's in charge. Get the stuff done. Text me when it is all done" Chad says
"Alright" I say
"Why is Chad in charge" Joey asks
"Because he's the oldest and wakes up on time everyday" Chad says
With that Chad picks Lilly up and leaves.
*Chad POV*
"Ok Lilly girl where do you want to go" I ask
"I no know." She says
"So you want to go to the park and play" I ask
"Yes" she cheers
I put her in the car then get in and drive to the park. We get there and I set her in the ground and she runs to the playground. I follow behind her. I catch up to her and grab her. I throw her in the air and catch her again. I keep doing this and she just keeps on laughing. I set her back down and she runs off. After a few hours we leave and head to an ice cream parlor. We're just finishing up the ice cream when I get a call from Spencer.
C-hey dude what's up
S-we finished the room
C-ok
S-also Joey got a call and once he hung up he went to his room. He locked the door and won't let us in. We can hear him crying
C-ok. We'll be home soon
We finish the ice cream and throw out the trash. I clean Lilly's hands and face then we go to my car. I put her in and drive home. I go inside and give Lilly to Spencer then go upstairs. I see Caleb at Joey's room trying to get in.
"Go downstairs Caleb I got this" I say
"Ok" Caleb says
He goes downstairs and I walk over to the door.
"Joe you okay" I ask
"No" he says
"Can I come in" I ask
"are the others there" he asks
"No. It's just me" I say
I hear silence then a click. I open the door to see Joey lying on his bed his face buried in his pillow. I close and lock the door behind me. I grab his swivel chair and roll it over to the side of the bed and sit down.
"What happened" I ask
"Hannah broke up with me. She said she had been cheating on me for about two months then decided she didn't like me anymore" he says
"Oh Joe I'm so sorry. Is that the only reason your crying" I ask
"No" he says
"Then what else" I ask
"My best friend was just diagnosed with cancer and she only has a week or two to live" he says
"Where does she live" I ask
"Ohio" he says
"Go take a plane and spend the last days with her" I say
"I can't go alone. I won't be able to go alone. I'd need someone to be there for me" he says
"I'd go with but I need to be here with Lilly. Do you want Caleb to go with" I ask
"Ok" he says
"Ok. I'll tell him. I'm going to make dinner. Do you want me to get you when it's ready" I ask
"No. I'm going to go to sleep. I'm tired" he says
"Ok. Night Joe" I say
"Night" he says
I put the chair back and walk out of the room closing the door behind me. I go downstairs to find the other three watching tv. I go to the kitchen to start making dinner.
"Is he alright" Caleb asks
I turn around and see Caleb at the doorway.
"Yeah. He will be. I need you to go to Ohio with him for a few days. His best friend has cancer and only has a few weeks left. Joey needs someone there for him but I have to stay here with Lilly" I say
"Ok. Will do" Caleb says
"Thanks man" I say
"No problem bro" he says
I finish making dinner and we all eat. After dinner I help Lilly get her pjs on and put her in her bed.
"Do you like your new room" I ask
"Yes" she says
"Good. Now sleep tight Lillian" I say
"Nighty night Chaddy" she says
I kiss her forehead and leave the room. I go to Joey's room and open the door. I look over at the bed and see him laying there wide awake.
"You ok" I ask
"Chad how many girlfriends have I had" he asks
"I would say about 3" I say
"And have I broken up with any of them" he asks
"No" I say
"And why did they break yo with me" he asks
"Because they cheated on you" I say
"Then is there something wrong with me that I can't have a great relationship? They all last about a month or two" he asks
"No Joey. Nothing is wrong with you. You are a great guy. Any girl would be lucky to have you. You just haven't found the girl for you" I say
"Ok thanks Chad" he says
"No problem now try to sleep. Caleb said he would go to Ohio with you. You two can leave tomorrow once you're packed and awake" I say
"Alright" he says
I leave the room and close the door then go downstairs.
"Alright Caleb you should go up and pack. You're leaving tomorrow once Joey wakes up and pack." I say
"Ok then I'm going to head to bed" Caleb says
"Alright Night" I say
He heads upstairs and I sit on the couch.
"Chad I'm going to be heading home tomorrow for a few days. My mom and dad need help with a few things" Spencer says
"Ok" I say
"I'm going to go pack then head to bed" he says
"Alrighty" I say
He goes upstairs and I turn the tv. So I guess Lilly and I will be by ourselves for a few days. After a few hours I start to get tired so I turn the tv off and go upstairs. I go into my room and see Lilly in my bed. I go over and lay down wrapping my arm around her. I quickly drift to sleep.
