(2 weeks later)
*Chad POV*
I wake up at 8:30 and go downstairs. I get down there and everyone is awake and eating.
"Hey Chad there's a letter on the coffee table for you" Caleb says
"Ok thanks" I say
"Good morning daddy" Lilly says
"Morning Lillian" I say
I go to the living room and grab the letter. I open it and read it.
"You ok Chad" Spencer asks
"The chemo worked last week" I say
"That's great" he says
"Chad you want some breakfast" Joey asks
"Sure" I say
I go to the kitchen and sit down next to Lilly. She gets off her chair and comes over to me. I pick her up and set her on my lap.
"I love you daddy" she says
"I love you too" I say
She kisses my cheek and I tickle her.
"S-stop da-daddy" she laughs
"I don't want to"  I say
P-pl-please" she giggles
"Ok" I say
Joey sets my plate in front of me and I thank him.
"What are we doing today" Lilly asks
"Well Uncle Joey and your daddy both have a doctors appointment today so uncle Caleb and I are watching you kids" Spencer says
"Dada" Asher squeals
"Hey bud. You ready for a bath" Joey asks
"Joseph you aren't going up those stairs" I say
"But Chad I've already done it three times" he whines
"Joe didn't we tell you not to. There's a reason you've been staying in the guest room downstairs" Caleb says
"Guys I need to do things for myself. Anyways I'm getting the brace off today if it's totally healed then I'll have to do two more weeks of physical therapy and I'll be perfectly fine" Joey says
"I'll go give Asher a bath. I have to give Sean a bath as well so I'll just do they're bath together" Spencer says
"Ok" Joey says
"Daddy when can we go play with Fallon and Max" Lilly asks
"Tomorrow" I say
"Who's max" Caleb asks
"My best friend" Lilly says
"Hey I thought I was your best friend" Joey says
"No. you're my favorite Uncle" Lilly says
"What about me" Caleb asks
"Uh you're tied for favorite uncle" she says
"What about uncle Spencer" I ask
"Shhhh we don't need to worry about him. And Dusty you're my favorite brother" she says
"Well thanks Lillian" Dustin says
"What about me" I ask
"You're my daddy so you're always my favorite" she says
"Awe that's sweet" Joey says
"Watch it Stamper" I say
"Oh I'm so scared." He says
"Whatever. Max is Fallon's little brother who is about AJ's age" I say
"Can we please go play with them" she begs
"Maybe" I say
"Chad our appointment is in twenty minutes." Joey says
I finish eating and pick Lilly up as I stand up. If I upstairs and to her room.
"Alright what do you want to wear" I ask
"The outfit uncle Joey got me for Christmas" she says
"Ok" I say
I help her then tie her black converse.
"You're gonna have to learn how to do this soon" I say
"No." she says
"Yes" I say
She shakes her head and tries to get away. I quickly grab her and nod my head. I pick her up and walk downstairs.
"Uncle Joey we're matching" Lilly says

"Yeah we are. Should we get daddy to take a picture" Joey asks
"Yeah. Please daddy" Lilly asks
"Ok" I say
Joey picks her up and I take the picture.
"Oh guys Fallon and Jewel are going with" Caleb says
"Why" I ask
"Well jewel doesn't want either of you driving or at least Joey and Fallon wants to be at the appointment with you" Spencer says
"Ok" I say
A few seconds later there's a knock at the door. Caleb opens it and all the girls walk in and Max.
"Yuna wheres my brother" Joey asks
"Oh he said something about going and seeing his parents for a few days. He was gonna offer for you to go with but you have your doctor appointment and the long car ride would probably be uncomfortable for you" Yuna says
"Awe he's so sweet to think of me" Joey says
"Alright boys let's get going" Fallon says
"Alright alright. Don't rush us" I say
"Bye daddy" Asher says
"Buy bub" Joey says
"Bye daddy" Lilly says
"Bye Lillian" I say
We go outside and get in Fallon's car. She starts it and heads to the doctors. We get there and go inside. We should go in and Joey is taken back first and jewel goes with him. A few minutes later I'm called back by Linda and Fallon follows me back. We get to the room and Fallon and Linda go behind the glass as I get my scans. I finish and we go back to a hospital room. Fallon and I sit down while we wait for Linda to come back with the results.
"How have you been feeling" Fallon asks
"Ok. I mean the past two days were really tough. We were only at home for sleeping because we had to do stuff in the studio" I say
Fallon's about to say something when Linda walks in.
"So the chemo is still working and now that we added you back on radiation that's working too. The cancer has decreased a little and hasn't really spread at all." Linda says
"Ok. When's my next chemo treatment" I ask
"Well the last time you had it was about two weeks ago and you should probably have it again soon so really whenever you want to." She says
"Could we possibly do it today" I ask
"Of course" she says
She walks out to get the stuff and I go over to the bed and lay down ready to start. Linda comes back in and hooks everything up.
"Alright so I'll be back in a few hours when it's done." Linda says
"Fallon go and head home with Jewel and Joey" I say
"No Chad it's fine. I'm sure they don't mind waiting here because I'm not gonna leave you here alone" Fallon says
"Ok" I say
"Isn't Yuna and Donald's wedding in two days" she asks
"Yep" I say
"I'm surprised they were able to plan a wedding that quick" she says
"Yeah but it is a small one. Just direct family then us guys, girls, children, and Max" I say
"Is Alan gonna be there" she asks
"Yep. Alan was part of the band when Joey joined and Donny filled in for him a couple of times so they got to know each other" I say
"Ok" she says
(A while later)
"Alright Chad let's unhook you and check a few things then you're free to go" Linda says
She does what she needs to do then we go out to the waiting room meeting up with Jewel and Joey.
"You guys ready" Jewel asks
"Yep. Let's head home so Chad can rest" Fallon says
"I'm fine Fal" I say
"Did you do chemo today" Joey asks
"Yeah. They started radiation again last week which is working" I say
"That's good" Jewel says
We go out to the car and get in. Fallon starts it and drives back to the guys house. We get there and go inside. We get in and see everyone watching high school musical.
"Daddy" Lilly yells then runs to me
"Hey Lilly bug" I say
"Can you come play with me" she asks
"I'm really tired Lilly maybe tomorrow" I say
"You never play with me anymore" Lilly yells and runs out the door
"I got it" Caleb says
Caleb runs out the door and I go up to my room. I close the door and lay on my bed. There's a knock on the door.
"Come in Joey" I say
Joey comes in with Asher and rolls over my office chair and sits in it. He passes Asher to me and I set Asher on my lap.
"What's wrong Chad" he finally asks
"I'm a bad parent" I say
"No Chad you aren't. You're human. And a great parent." He says
"Then why did Lilly yell at me and run away" I ask
"Because she's young and doesn't fully understand what's going on with you. Physically you can't play with her at the moment. You are sick and weak and we don't need it to get worse." He says
"Yeah but I'm not even spending normal time with her or all of you. Like when was the last time I went to church? I think like not since I've been diagnosed" I say
"Chad we understand and we're all here to help. We've all gone through our share of stuff yet you were there for us. We are always there for each other." He says
"I guess. Thanks joe" I say
"No problem. Now get some sleep. I'll take Asher with me." he says
"No it's fine. I think he needs a nap. He can take one with me" I say
"Alright" he says
He walks out and I close my eyes drifting off to sleep.
*Caleb POV*
I quickly catch up to Lilly since I have longer legs. I pick her up and put her on my shoulders.
"Put me down uncle Caleb" she says
"No can do Silly Lilly" I say
"Please"she begs
I set her down and hold her hand. We go over to the park and we sit on the swings.
"Now what's wrong" I ask
"Daddy doesn't play with me" she says
"You want to know why" I ask
She nods her head
"Your daddy is sick so he can't run around or it makes it worse. And sometimes he's really sick and needs to stay in bed that day. But he'll always be your daddy and he loves you very much. He's always upset when you walk out of the house and he can't go with you" I say
"I love daddy too" she says
"There is a way you can play with daddy though" I say
"How" she asks
"You can watch tv with him, read to him, or play board games, card games, and video games" I say
"Ok" she says
"Ready to go back" I ask
"Mmhmm" she says
I pick her up and put her on my shoulders and start walking back. We get back and go in. Inside Spencer and Sean are asleep together on the couch. Joey, and Dustin are watching tv.
"Where are the girls" I ask
"They had to go do stuff" Dustin says
"Where's daddy" Lilly asks
"He's upstairs taking a nap with Asher" Joey says
I set Lilly down and she goes upstairs. I go over and sit on the floor near Joey and Dustin.
"So Dusty have you ever played nerf Wars before" I ask
"No" he says
"Well you're about to learn" I say I have him follow me upstairs and we go to Chad's room. I find the key and unlock the drawer. I grab three nerf guns, some darts then return the key. We go back downstairs and I hand the stuff out.
"Lets go out back to play" I say
We get up and go out back.
"Ok so we each get five darts. We can't be close to shoot but once you get hit you're out" I say
"Alright" they say
"No going out front or in the house" Joey adds
"3 2 1 GO" we yell
We play until it gets dark then go in. We see that everyone is still asleep so we eat a quick dinner then head upstairs. Before I go to my room I go over to Chad's room. I open the door and see all three kids and him asleep. I close the door then go to my room. I lay down and drift off to sleep.
