"Is Lilly ok" Chad asks
"She's at home with Spencer. We told her where you're at. How are you feeling" I ask
"Terrible" he says
We continue talking with him till a doctor comes in.
"Ok I have the results" the doctor says
"What's wrong" Chad asks
"The results are...

*Chad POV*
"Mr. Graham, the results are that you have acute leukemia." The doctor says
"Is it curable" I ask
"Yes. Thankfully it's small so we're able to do chemo and radiation but we have to start with in a month before it starts growing" the doctor says
"Alright" I say
"Do you want me to call Spencer and tell him to come with the kids" Caleb asks
"Nono I'll tell her once I get out of here" I say
"Well we want you to stay over night and for your fever to also go down. Then we also want someone to come and talk about the treatment plan and everything you'll go through." The doctor says
"Ok thank you" I say
He walks out and I let out a deep breath.
"You okay Chad" Joey asks
"Yeah" I say
"Ok. Well we're gonna head out to check on Spencer and the kids. One of us will be over to pick you up" Caleb says
"Ok. See ya guys" I say
"See ya" Joey says
"Wait Joe can I talk to you" I say
Caleb walks out and Joey comes over to me.
"What can I do for you" he asks
"Can you guys not tell Lilly about this. I want to tell her myself. Also tomorrow when you come pick me up can we also stop by Fallon's? I need to let her know" I say
"Ok. Oh and did you know that Caleb and Kelsey are dating" Joey asks
"No. When did Caleb ask her" I ask
"Last week" he says
"Oh." I say
"See ya Chad. Get some sleep" he says
"I will." I say
He leaves and someone else walks in.
"Hello Mr. Graham I'm Dr. Gavin Roberts. I will be your doctor for your treatments and such. I wanted to talk to you about the treatment plan and what all you'll go through" he says
"Ok" I say
"So every two weeks you'd do chemo and once a month you'll get radiation. We'll do this for two months and see if it helps. If it does we'll continue it. You will experience nausea, weakness, and just giving up in general. Just surround yourself with family and those who will keep you going. You're going to need to stay active" he says
"Ok thank you" I say
"When would you like to start this" he asks
"How early can we start" I ask
"Well if you want we can do the first dose of chemo today" he says
"Ok" I say
He leaves the room then comes back in a few minutes later with a cart. I watch as he does different things. An hour later he's done.
He leaves and I try to fall asleep.
*Caleb POV*
We get home and go in.
"I'll go play with the kids while you talk with Spencer" Joey says
"Ok" I say
He walks off and a few minutes later Spencer comes over to me. I motion for me to follow him and we go outside.
"So what's wrong with Chad" he asks
"He has leukemia" I say
"Is it treatable" he asks
"Yeah. They can do radiation and chemo" I say
"Are we telling Lilly" Spencer says
"No. Chad is telling her tomorrow" I say
"Ok" he says
We go back inside and Lilly runs over to me.
"Uncle Caleb why is Uncle Joey in his room crying" she asks
"I don't know. Let's just let him be for a while" I say
"Ok. Can I have some lunch" she asks
"Sure Uncle Spencer will make it for you" I say
I pass her off to Spencer and go upstairs. I go to Chad's room and see Asher in his crib. I go to Joey's room and stop outside the door. I listen closely and hear crying yelling. I knock on the door but get no response. I knock a few more times and still get no response. I go downstairs and to the kitchen.
"Caleb you do realize it's like 6:30 at night" Spencer says
"Ok. Lilly after you're done eating it's bath time then bedtime" I say
"Ok" she says
She finishes eating and I go upstairs with her. I give her a bath and get her pjs on her.
"Sweet dreams sweetie" I say
"I love you uncle Caleb" she says
"I love you too" I say
I walk out of her room and go downstairs.
"Did you check in Joey" Spencer asks
"His doors locked. We'll have to let Chad talk to him" I say
"Ok" he says
We turn the tv on and watch a few movies then head up to bed.

*Joey POV*
I wake up early in the morning and get dressed. I go downstairs and grab my keys then head out. I get in my car and drive to the studio. I go in and grab my guitar then sit down. I sit there strumming my guitar and thinking. After awhile I look at my phone and see that it's time to go pick Chad up. I set my guitar down and leave. I get in my car and head to the hospital. I get there and go to Chad's room. I knock and hear a come in. Before I go in though I put a fake smile on my face.
"Hey Chad you ready" I ask
"Yeah" he mumbles
"You ok" I ask
"Yeah. I just did my first session of chemo yesterday. It's beating me" he says
"You'll conquer it" I say
"Thanks. Can you come help me up" he asks
I go over to him and help him up. We walk out with him holding on to me for support. He signs himself out then we go to the car. We get in and I drive to Fallon's.
"Joey I need you to help me in." He says
"Ok" I say
I get out and go over to his side. I open the door and help him out then we walk to the door. I knock and a few seconds later Fallon opens the door.
"Hey Joey and Chad. Come in." She says
We go in and sit on the couch.
"You okay Chad" she asks
"Sort of" Chad says
"Hey Chad I left something in my car. I'm going to go get it. I'll be back" I say
"Ok" he says
I walk out and go to my car. That was close. I lean against my car and after a good ten minutes I go back inside. I walk in and they're hugging.
"You should go home and tell Lilly then get some sleep" Fallon says
"Ok" he says
"Joey once you help him to the car come back in. I need to talk to you" she says
"Ok" I say
I help Chad to the car and to get in then go back up to the house. I go in and sit in a chair.
"Joey are you okay" she asks
"What do you mean" I ask
"I can tell that you have a fake smile on. Plus when Chad was about to tell me you ran outside" she says
"I'm fine. Ok. I'm perfectly fine" I say
I get up and walk out of the house and get in the car. I start it and drive home.we get home and I help him inside and to the couch then go up to my room. I lock my door and lay on my bed. This whole thing is exactly like Nae. I lay there and think things over until I start crying.
*Chad POV*
Joey helps me to the couch then goes upstairs. Lilly gets up from the floor and runs to me. I pick her up and set her on my lap. Caleb and Spencer get up and leave the room.
"Hi daddy" Lilly says
"Hey baby girl" I say
"Are you okay" she asks
"Daddies sick. It's a bad sickness but I'll get better. It might take awhile though. Someday I'll be sick and some days I won't. Other days I'll just want to stay in bed. So you'll have to listen to your uncles" I say
"Ok." She says
"Good now go play with your uncles while I go check on your uncle Joey" I say
She gets up off my lap and runs out of the room. I slowly stand up and go upstairs to Joey's room. I knock and get no response.
"Joey please open the door" I say
After a few minutes I hear shuffling and a click. I open the door and go in. I go over to Joey's bed and sit next to him.
"What's  wrong" I ask
"This whole situation is like Nae's" he says
"What do you mean" I ask
"It started out as small treatable cancer. Saying that if they treated it it wouldn't grow. It would shrink but then grow. It caused her to die" Joey cries
"Little bro I'm not going to die. I will fight forever. I will have my best friends by my side. I will have my daughter and nephew there and my girlfriend. You all will be there to support me and help me to not give up. I can't let the devil win" I say
"Huh" Joey asks
"This is a test. Seeing if any of us would get so mad and scream and yell at God. We
Can't do that. We can't get conquered by the devil." I say
"Ok" he says
"You good now" I ask
"Yeah. But check on Spencer. He's been down lately." Joey says
"Ok" I say
We get up and leave the room. Joey goes downstairs and I go to Spencer's room. I knock and quietly enter his room. I go in to see him laying on his bed crying.
"Hey spence what's the problem." I ask
"It's nothing" he says
"You sure? You seem upset" I say
"My parents got in a car accident. My dad died instantly. My mom doesn't know if she'll make it." He says
"Why don't you go back home to visit her" I say
"Ok. I'll leave tomorrow. I'm gonna stay up here though" he says
"Alright. Night bro" I say
"Night" he says
I go downstairs to see all three chanting Asher's name.
"What's going on" I ask
"We're trying to get Asher to crawl to me" Lilly says
"Is he even sitting on his own yet" I ask
"Yes and he's army crawling but he needs to crawl normally" Joey says
"You guys are doing it all wrong" I say
"How" Caleb asks
I go to the kitchen and grab a jar of baby food and a spoon. I take the lid off and go to the living room. I go to the end by Lilly and sit down on the couch.
"Look Asher! Uncle Chad has food" I say
Asher looks up and sees me. He moves his hand forward and starts crawling a bit then falls on his face. Joey goes to help him but I don't let him.
"No you have to let him figure this out in his own" I say
Asher starts crying but gets up and sits on his butt.
"If he wants help he'll come to you" I say
Asher starts crawling again till he gets to me. I pick him up and set him on my lap. I get him situated then start feeding him.
"That's unfair. I wanted to get him to crawl" Joey says
"Dada" Asher squeals
"See Joe he cares about you. He's actually starting to talk early. He's only like 6 months." I say
"Where's Spencer" Caleb asks
"Asleep. He was tired. It's around 9:30" I say
"Oh that means miss Lillian and sir Asher should be in bed" Joey says
"Lilly yes. Asher no" I say
"I got Lilly" Caleb says
Caleb grabs Lilly and goes upstairs with her. I stand up and go to the kitchen. I throw the cup out and put the spoon in the sink then make a bottle.
"Asher should have a bottle every night before bed." I say
"Ok" Joey says
"Just go up to bed Joe. I know you're tired" I say
"No Chad it's fine. You should be going to bed. You barely get sleep" he says
"Joey I'm fine." I say
I finish making the bottle and sit down and give it to Asher. Once he's done the bottle I burp him then hand him over to Joey.
"Now you can take him to bed" I say
He takes Asher and goes upstairs. I clean up and everything then go upstairs. I check on everyone then go to my room. I lay down in bed and drift off to sleep.
