*Lillian POV*
Hi my name is Lillian. My favorite band is anthem lights. They're the only band I know of since I'm only three. The reason I know about anthem lights is because my mommy loved them. As long as I can remember my mommy would always play their songs for me. Even their really old ones. My favorite person is Caleb. But Chad is a close second. My mommy said if I had grayish hazel eyes I could probably be mistaken as Chad's daughter if we were next to each other. My mommy died a couple months after I turned two then daddy didn't want me anymore so dropped me off at an orphanage. I'm the youngest one there and can barely talk. The older girls pick on me and the workers don't know about it. I just wish I could get adopted. I turned three yesterday. When I blew out my candles I made a wish. A wish that I would get adopted. Hopefully that dream comes true.
*Chad POV*
"This house is really quiet" Spencer says
"The reason for that is because Caleb wants it to be quiet when he plays Mario kart. He thinks it helps him win" Joey says
"Guys we should adopt a little girl. It would make days more entertaining and we would have stuff to do besides just sitting here all day" I say
"Guys quiet" Caleb says
"Yo Mario turn the game off and listen" I say
"Yes father" he says
"The force is weak in this one" Spencer says
"Shut up r2d2" Joey says
"You aren't any better Leia" Caleb says
"Guys settle down. The force will build up over time" I say
"Yes master Yoda" they say
"Guys in serious. We should go and adopt a little girl." I say
"Ok" they say
We go out to the band van and get in. I drive to an orphanage and we go up to the door. I knock on the door and a lady comes to open it.
"Hello I'm Kathy please come in" she says
We go inside and follow her to an office.
"So you came to adopt" she asks
"Yes ma'am" I say
"Okay. Do you guys know what age you are looking for" she asks
"Between 3 and 9 years old girl" Caleb says
"Ok" she says, if you want you can go to the multi purpose room and I'll call the girls down" she says
We go to the room she told us to and sit down on the couch. Joey and Spencer start talking and Caleb goes in his phone. A few minutes later about ten girls come in. Then Kathy comes in with a little girl. She sets her on the ground and the little girl walks over to the corner. When Kathy walks off a few girls walk over to the little girl. I can't hear what they are saying but I can see that the little girl is about to cry. I get up and go over there.
"Hey girls what are your names and ages" I ask
"I'm Bria and I'm 10. Then these three are my friends. Haley is 9 same with Yasmin then Rachel is 8" Bria says
I crouch down on the floor next to the little girl.
"Hi sweetie I'm Chad what's you name and how old are you" I ask
"Lillian and I tree" she says holding up three fingers
I laugh and stand up picking Lillian up as I do. I go back over to the guys and sit down with her on my lap.
"Guys knock it off" I say
They look up and see the little girl on my lap.
"This is Lillian she's three" I say
"Hi Lillian. I'm Caleb this is Joey and Spencer" Caleb says
"You anthem lights" she asks
"Yeah. You know about us" Joey asks
"Mommy loved you. Now I love you." She says
"Awesome. Who's your favorite" Spencer asks
"Caleb and Chad" she says
"Hey" Joey pouts
Caleb slaps the back of his head and Lillian giggles. After a few more minutes Kathy comes in.
"Have you guys made a decision" she asks
I look at the guys and they all nod their heads.
"Yes we have. Lillian" I say
"Ok. She can't really talk well and is still wearing diapers. Her mom died when she was two and then her dad abandoned her. She just turned three yesterday. I just need the one who's going to be the legal guardian to sign papers" Kathy says
"Oh yeah we didn't think that far" Joey says
"Chad you go sign the papers" Caleb says
I pass Lillian to Caleb and the guys go to pack her bags while I follow Kathy. I sign the papers and then Kathy starts talking.
"Lillian told me that yesterday she wished to be adopted" she says
"Well then I guess it's a wish come true" I say
"She really loves you guys. She would always have me play your songs for her." Kathy says
"Well we're glad." I say
I walk out of the office to find the guys and Lillian by the door. When Lillian sees me she runs over to me. I pick her up and hold her in my hip.
"Ready to go sweetie" I ask
"Yes. Bye bye Miss Kathy" she says
We go outside and to the van. I give Joey the keys so he can drive while Lillian sits on my lap since we don't have a car seat yet.
"Are we going home" Joey asks
"No head to the store" I say
"Ok" Joey says
"So Lillian do you like being called that or a different name" Spencer asks
"Lilly" she says
"Okay miss lilly what do you like" Caleb asks
"Food, Mario kart, doggies, rainbows, I hate dresses and skirts, I like football and playing" she says
"Well then" I say
We get to the store and get out of the van. She reaches for Spencer and he takes her from me.
"Wow Chad if she had grayish hazel eyes instead of blue she could be your daughter. I mean the hairs more blonde then yours but still" Joey says
"True" I say
"Mommy said same thing" Lilly says
"Well guess what" I say
"What" she asks
"You're now Lillian Rose Graham" I say
"No more smith" she asks
"No. Because once we adopted you your last name changed. Is that ok" Joey asks
"Yes" Lilly cheers
We get inside the store and go over to the little kids section.
"Now miss Lillian what color car seat do you want" Caleb asks
"Blue and green" she says
"Ooh they have a rainbow one" Spencer says
"Rainbow" Lilly cheers
I go over and look at it. I decide it's a good one and put the book in the cart.
"Now should we get stuff for your room" I ask
"Ok" she says
"Do you want it to be rainbow theme" Joey asks
"Yes. Love rainbows. Also some football" she says
"Do you have a favorite team" Spencer asks
"Seahawks. Mommy said she from Seattle." Lilly says
"Cool now let's go get stuff. Caleb and Joey go get paint and decals. Spencer can you go do the food shopping while I take miss Lillian to get clothes and other necessities" I say
"Ok" everyone says
I take Lilly from Spencer and we go our separate ways. I head over to the clothes section for toddlers. I set Lilly down and she grabs my hand.
"So what do you want" I ask
"Sweatpants, sweatshirts, t-shirts, shirts, jeans" she says
"Ok. What about socks and shoes" I ask
"Yes" she says
We get the clothes she needs then head over to shoes. As soon as we get to the aisle she runs over to a pair of shoes. I go over there and see that they're rainbow Nike's. I grab a pair and go over to a bench. She comes over and sits in my lap. I take her old shoes off and try them on her feet. They fit perfectly. I put them in the cart and put her old shoes back on. We get her a pair of flip flops and converse then make our way over to the front of the store to meet the guys. On the way we pass a football section. She sees seahawk stuff and runs over there. I follow her and she's squeezing a pillow and holding a blanket.
"Ok. Do you also want a shirt and sweatshirt" I ask seeing them on sale
"Yes" she says
We get them then continue to the front. We get there and meet up with the guys. We go through the check out and pay for everything. We then go back out to the van. I out the car seat in and put Lilly in the car seat as the others unload the carts. We all then get in the van and I drive home. We get there and I see Lilly is asleep.
"You guys go ahead in. And start unloading the groceries. I'll take her up to bed" I say
"Chad her room isn't ready yet" Caleb says
"She can sleep in my room for now" I say
"Ok" he says
I pick Lilly up and unlock the door. I go upstairs to my room and put her to bed. I leave the door open a crack and go downstairs.
"Hey guys we should start working in her room. What did you plan for the room" I ask
"We got small cans of paint for every color of the rainbow so we were thinking either stripes for the whole room in the order of the room or we can do circles on her walls" Joey says
"How many colors did you get" I ask
"Eight" Caleb says
"Two different shades of blue and green" Joey says
"Perfect. Each wall can have two different colors on it" I say
"Ooh I like that idea" Spencer says
We grab the paints and the supplies and go upstairs to her room. We lay down the tarps and use the painters tape where needed then we get to work. After three hours we finally finish. We go downstairs and Joey starts on dinner.
"Tell me again why I'm cooking dinner" Joey asks
"Because you and I are the only ones who can cook and I'm tired of always cooking" I say
"I can cook" Caleb says
"No you can't maz" Spencer says
"Woah I'm chewy" Caleb says
"No you aren't. Your either maz or Boba fett" I say
"Jaba the hutt" Caleb asks
"Sure why not" Joey says
"Sweet" Caleb says
"So we have a Leia, r2d2, Yoda, and jaba the Hutt" Spencer says
"I guess so" I say
"Chad, dinners ready. Can you go wake Lilly up" Joey asks
"Yeah" I say
I go upstairs to my room and over to the bed.
"Lilly time to wake up" I say
She slowly wakes up and I pick her up.
"Hi Chaddy" she says
"Hey Lilly" I say
"I hungry" she says
"We're going to eat now. Joey cooked dinner" I say
"What" she asks
"Don't know baby girl. Don't know" I say
I go downstairs and to the dining room and set her in a chair. I pray for the food and we start eating.
"This good pizza Joey" Lilly says
"Thank you Lilly" Joey says
"Thanks Joe bro for making dinner" I say
"No problem Chad" Joey says
We finish eating and I take Lilly up for her bath. I give her her bath then put her in her pajamas. I take her downstairs and we watch tangled as I brush her hair. Once it's brushed I braid it and by the end of the movie she's asleep.
"Hey guys I'm going to take her up to my room for bed then going to bed my self" I say
"Ok night" they say I go upstairs and lay her I bed then get in. I lay down and drift off to sleep with my little girl wrapped in my arms.
