3 - Long Time No See
"Dean?" Sam asked as Dean walked into the dorm room, slamming the door behind him. Kevin just glanced over and ignored them, used to random brother drama.
"They're both..." Dean muttered. "They're both here."
"What do you mean?"
"I saw Castiel. I fixed his damn car."
"And? Did you talk to him?"
"Yes. I did. He knows who I am. But he. Didn't. Say. Anything." Dean kicked the leg of Sam's bed between each word.
"Are you sure he knew?" Sam asked.
"He literally said you're Dean Winchester."
"Are you sure it was him?"
"Said his name was Cas, wore a trenchcoat, awkward, has an older brother that's shorter than him."
"All this and you didn't say anything?"
"What was I supposed to do? He either doesn't remember or doesn't care." Dean sat down on the bed, his expression confused and hurt. "But he remembers because he knows I call my car Baby...so he doesn't care."
Sam didn't say anything, just moved to put a comforting hand on Dean's shoulder.
"It's probably not my place to say," Kevin said slowly. "But I really think you should've said something."
"What was I supposed to say?" Dean said. "Hey Cas, remember me, we were boyfriends five years ago and were forced apart with promises that we'd find each other but never did and I still care but obviously you don't."
"Well what else are you supposed to do?" Kevin asked. Dean just sighed.
"How long do you think they've been here?" he said quietly. "Both of them. How didn't we notice?"
"Different years in college," Sam suggested. "Different subjects? I mean I haven't been here that long, I wouldn't have noticed."
"But if Cas is in college," Dean said. "That means I've been here the entire time he has. For three years." Sam gave him a sympathetic look.
"Well," Sam said. "What do we do now?"

Tuesday (The days have no significance in this book but I forget the day a lot :P )
Sam walked into the art building at college. His classes didn't start for about another half hour, but he wanted to go see something.
He walked up to the person at the front desk who gave him a bored look, probably thinking he was about to ask directions like every did in this damn building.
"I was wondering if you could help, I'm looking for a student named Gabriel Novak," Sam said, and the intern looked slightly relieved.
"Short guy, always causes trouble?" she asked and Sam nodded. "He's an amazing musician though. What do you need to know?"
"Just where I can find him," Sam said. The intern nodded and brought up Gabe's schedule on her computer, and Sam glanced at it, immediately memorising it. And if it was right, then Gabe should be in a class around about now.
Sam thanked the intern and went up the stairs of the building, finding the classroom Gabe would be in. And then like the totally not creepy person he is, he stood by the window and looked in.
It was a music room, and there was people around the place on different instruments, most electronic with headphones. And in the corner sitting with an acoustic guitar was Gabriel Novak.
He looked focused on whatever he was playing, and Sam froze at the sight of him. This was the second time in five years that he'd seen Gabe. And god had Gabe grown up well.
Sam originally had full intention of talking to Gabe after he got out of the classroom. But then he started worrying. Because what if Gabe didn't even remember, that would just be awkward.
He was still frozen there thinking about what bad things could happen when their class did actually end. He had a few seconds to get a few steps away from the door and lean against the wall casually as if he hadn't just been watching in. Now that'd be great if the hall wasn't pretty much empty with only that door.
Everyone walked out of the classroom and Sam pulled out his phone and tried to look normal. He was in the middle of sending a very frightened and caps text to Kevin with a lack of grammar when Gabriel noticed him.
"Hey, you're the guy I ran into yesterday."
Sam looked up, his eyes wide. "What—uh yeah. That's me."
"Sorry I guess?" Gabe said, walking over to Sam. "So uh, what are you doing here?"
"I'm...standing?" Sam said and mentally facepalmed. Gabe just raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah okay kiddo," he said. "Name's Gabriel. You?"
Sam froze. Everything in his mind stopped working. Because one, this confirmed that this was Gabe, and two, he couldn't tell Gabe. He couldn't.
Gabe waited for an answer for a few moments as Sam just stared at him with wide eyes. "Right then. If you're gonna be like that, then see you around kiddo." With that he walked off.
As Gabe got out of eyesight Sam groaned and hit his head on the wall.

"I saw the hot guy again today," Gabe said as he got back to his dorm. "He's kinda awkward. And wouldn't tell me his name."
"What are you going to do to him?" Cas asked.
"I'm not going to—what?"
"Anyone you think is hot gets pranked."
"Shut up. I won't do anything okay. I think there's something up with him, he didn't seem okay today."
Cas looked at Gabe carefully for a few moments. "Should I have said something?"
"What?" Gabe said, surprised at the sudden topic change. "To who?"
"Dean."
"Hells yeah. That's Dean Winchester, the only guy you've ever actually cared about. Why the hell didn't you?"
"If you saw Sam, what would you do?"
"I'd...I wouldn't say anything because he deserves better than the Trickster."
"Exactly," Cas muttered. "Besides, it was a while ago. We were all teenagers. It probably wasn't anything real."
"That's the therapist speaking Cas," Gabe said.
"Oh like you can talk," Cas snapped. "You blocked out everything relating to the Winchesters and ignored any mention of them. You went around dating random people and pranking others to the point where they were almost killed. And still you won't even talk about Sam."
Gabe's jaw clenched at the name and he looked away from Cas. "Like I said, he deserves better than who I am now."
"You don't even know him anymore. How can you assume that he, you, any of us, will feel the same?"
"Come on Cassie," Gabe said. "You're the psychologist here. You tell me."
Cas stared at Gabe for a few moments. "He gave you a path in life, you won't get over him."
"Okay, now you."
"I had my mind messed with by a therapist to appear like a normal teenager and can't tell how I feel about Dean anymore."
"Now Sam and Dean."
"I don't know them."
"Dean?"
"Dean...cares. And it hurts him. A lot. When he thought I was me, he got cautious but he had that spark in his eyes...he still cares..."
"And if he figured out that it was actually you then you probably just broke his damn heart," Gabe muttered. "Now we just need to find Sam."
"You don't want to," Cas said slowly. "You're afraid."
"I want him to have found someone better but that'll still hurt," Gabe said. "Now, I have more classes to go to. Later Cassie."
"Bye Gabriel," Cas said as Gabe walked out the door. A few moments later he walked out of the door too.

Sam was walking back from his last class of the day when a tall but not taller than him guy came running over. He was wearing a trench coat, black hair and blue eyes...
"Cas?" Sam said, mainly because of the trenchcoat Dean had mentioned.
"Long time no see?" Cas said. "Sam right? Did I get that right? I had to go ask around. A lot. Do you have any idea how hard it is to find someone who looks nothing like you remember?"
"Well I'm sorry for getting tall," Sam said, rolling his eyes. "So uh..."
"Yeah...this is awkward."
"Very."
"You've seen Gabriel around, haven't you?"
"Yeah. He ran into me. Literally."
"He doesn't know it's you."
"I noticed."
"Keep it like that. For both your sakes."
"What?" Sam asked. Cas sighed.
"I was talking to Gabriel earlier," Cas said. "About the summer. He's very reluctant to speak of it. He did some bad things over the past five years to block out the memory because it was hurting too much." Sam was silent, his eyes filled with sadness. "He almost got someone killed with one of his pranks that went to far. But he realized that, decided to do what he'd said and go to college. But I was talking to him and even if he did know it was you, he wouldn't say anything."
"Why?" Sam said.
"He said you deserve better," Cas said. "So if you keep doing whatever you're doing and not telling him who you are, then he won't base whatever you two become now on what happened in the past. It's better that way."
"How do you know we'll become anything?" Sam asked.
"He walked into our dorm and the first thing he said was 'There was this hot guy today'".
Sam chuckled slightly. "Fine. I'll do as you say. But if it starts not working out I'm telling him okay?"
Cas nodded. "Let him fall for you again before you tell him. And he will."
"Wow you really haven't given up on the reading people thing have you?"
"No, I study psychology now."
"Of course."
Cas nodded awkwardly. "Well...I'll be going? See you around...it was good to see you again Sam. It really was."
"Castiel wait," Sam said. Cas looked back at him, this little look of fear in his eyes.
"You weren't surprised to see me here which means Dean must've said something," Cas muttered. "Look I—"
"Dean's going to break his foot on the amount of furniture you've made him kick," Sam said. "Talk to him Cas. Please. He never gave up or tried to block it out. You weren't at the house when he went to find you later that year."
"Okay fine," Cas said. "But let me do this my own way. Don't tell Dean you talked to me."
Sam winced but nodded. "Fine. See you around Cas." Cas nodded and waved as he walked off. Sam sighed and continued walking back to his dorm room.

So they met again...I mean, not either of the ships xD Oh and I'm gonna have Michael and Luci join in on this soon.
I had an idea for a style of character drawings that could literally be my style and if I do it well enough I could probably actually sell them...
Buut anyway, I have an exam to actually study for and an assignment due in xD Fun fact, I was painting for the assignment yesterday and ended up with paint on my ankle. How the hell does that even happen
