"I don't know Sting... How would I know if you would treat her right?" Natsu asked, tapping his fingers on the wooden table beside him.

"You have my word that I will." Sting reassured

Sting hoped that he would earn Natsu's trust quickly enough before Gray got to Y/N first. The pinkette sighed and looked up at Sting, "Don't blow it."

"Thank you." Sting grinned widely

"No problem, but remember if you hurt her I won't hesitate to hurt you either." Natsu said darkly

Sting said a quick 'yes' before heading to find Y/N.

Y/N stared at the bright moon in front of her. She wanted to get some fresh air for a little while and took a walk. She made her way to a nice small lake nearby and put her feet in. She smelled Sting's scent coming close to her. She didn't say anything until his scent was really strong.

"What're you doing here, Sting?" Y/N asked, picking up a rock and skipping it on the water

"I just wanted to see what you were doing." Sting said smoothly, sitting down next to her. On the outside he seemed calm but his heart felt like it was going to explode.

"Hm, did you have fun at the party?"
Y/N asked, tossing the stone up before skipping it

"I did, you?" Sting took one and skipped it really far

"Eh, it got boring." Y/N turned to him and smiled. The moonlight shined on her H/C hair, making it more mesmerizing for Sting. His lips curved into a smile as well.

"When are you going to say it?" Y/N asked

Sting felt his heartbeat quicken more than before, "Say what?" He asked

"Oh brother, I guess I'll say it first then. I like you, a lot, will you go out with me?" Y/N asked, very plain to be exact

Sting's mouth opened in shock and he just stared at her for a minute

'Oh my gosh! Screw Rogue's advice this was a bad idea like seriously!!!!!'

"I do too, Y/N." Sting said with a smirk on his face.

"U-Uh...! R-Really!" Y/N stuttered, pushing herself away from him and hitting her back on a tree, blushing as red as blood itself.

Sting leaned down and touched Y/N's cheek gently. "What's wrong Y/N, you were so cocky earlier?" Sting smirked widely

Y/N's blush deepened, steam came off of her face.

'So cute..' Sting thought as he leaned in and brought his lips to Y/N's. The Dragneel felt as she nearly died of excitement when she felt his lips moving against hers. She didn't hesitate at all to gently move her as well. Sting lightly broke the kiss by pushing her off.

"Be mine." Sting said breathlessly

Y/N didn't say anything and just nodded in response. Sting smiled at her and kissed her cheek, "I better be going, Rogue is very impatient. I'll see you later."

"Okay.. Goodbye Sting." Y/N said, Sting grinned at her one last time before sprinting away.

Y/N felt as if she was having a celebration mentally. She's liked Sting for such a long time and now she's his.

When she got home, she told Natsu all about what happened. Natsu acted like he was shocked and told her he was beyond happy for her. He was in fact but he still didn't completely trust Sting. Not yet. That time of year was still coming around and he knew he needed to watch the blondes every move carefully.

He called Rogue and the other dragon slayers, explaining what might happen and what to do on worst case scenario. The others understood that Sting would be very unstable in that state and would tell Natsu if the noticed anything about him.

"-Mating season starts in three weeks, we need to be on guard at all times."

*Timeskip to five weeks later*

It had been two weeks since mating season started. Sting was showing normal behavior and seemed like he didn't change at all. Natsu relaxed a little, he was certain that since it didn't affect him now he could let loose a little. After all, Sting and Y/N have been happily together for a month.

'What could go wrong." Natsu thought, shrugging a little. It was tough to let his little sister go to another guy but he was determined that he wouldn't let her forget about him.

Sting yawned in exhaustion, sitting up on his bed. He looked over to his right where Rogue and Frosch were in a deep sleep. His throat felt extremely dry and in need of water. He lifted Lector up from his leg and placed the maroon exceed on his pillow.

Sting quietly walked to the kitchen to grab a drink, he picks up a glass cup and hums as he fills it up with water. He had a few sips before walking back to his room. There was a sweet smell in the air. He didn't know what it was but it was coming from outside. The smell made his body go hot, he felt a slight desire rush through his veins.

'Mmm what is this?' Sting thought to himself as he felt a strange sensation through out his body. 'I need to find that scent..!' The sound of shattering glass echoed through out the house.

"Sting?!" Rogue runs out of his room to find glass shattered everywhere on the kitchen floor.

"Rogue, look!" Frosch said, pointing to the window which was wide open with the curtains swaying from the wind. Rogue sniffed the air, tracing Sting's scent. He realized Sting smelled different and he could clearly smell the hormones coming off of him "Oh no...." Rogue says quietly

The Dragneel residence...
"Night Y/N!" Natsu shouts

"Night, Nat." Y/N walks out of her older brother's room and goes down the hallway to her. Y/N's head felt cloudy out of nowhere, her face felt hot. Everything felt hot all over. The one weird thing was she smelled very strange.

'Am I getting sick..?' She wondered as she entered her room and laid down on the bed.

Y/N woke up after hearing a thud. She lit a flame on her fist and saw it was only Sting coming in through the window.

"Oh my god Sting you idiot! You scared me for a second!" Y/N laughs quietly so she won't wake up Natsu and Happy. Sting stands up and walks over to her. Sting didn't say a word and just hugged her, stroking her hair softly. 'She's that sweet smell..' he thought

"I just came to see you, sorry if I scared you." Y/N watched as his adam's apple moved up and down as he spoke in a deep voice.

'Why am I feeling this way so suddenly? And why does Sting smell so good?'

Sting kisses her ear gently before capturing her lips. Y/N closed her eyes and kissed back. In a flash, Sting reached his hand up her shirt, gripping tightly on her breast.

"NATS-mph!!!!" She screamed on the top of her lungs, Sting moved his hand to her mouth and shut it by force. "Don't. Make. A sound." Sting said to her, licking her earlobe.

"Mmmphh....!!!" She attempted to yell, her voice muffled by Sting's strong hand as he looked into her eyes with his clouded blue ones.

"Shadow dragon slash!" Rogue punches Sting into the wall, the blonde knocked out, Y/N looks at the door to find all the dragon slayers standing there

"I should have known this would happen." Natsu sighs

"All of you are here? Do you guys now what's wrong with him and...What's wrong with me?" Y/N says in confusion

"It's simply heat, (Y/N)." Rogue says "You can't stay around him while he's like this. Male dragon slayers can kill their mates."

"Their mates you mean-"

"Yes, you're his chosen mate. Does anyone smell a sweet aroma in here? What is that?" Rogue asks in confusion, his face going red from the smell.

"It's affecting her too," Gajeel points out "Her body is releasing strong pheromones."

"Aw for real you gotta be kidding!" Natsu says as he attempts to pick Sting up. Cobra walked over to help Natsu with carrying the blonde to the Fairy Tail guild.

"So in other words we have to keep her away from him Gajeel?" Wendy asked. Y/N looked down and didn't realize she was even there.

"Yes. She should stay with Lucy and erm Rogue will look after her." Gajeel declares

Meanwhile...
"I CANT STAY AWAY ITS SO HARD!" Sting yells, destroying most of the tables in Fairy Tail. The blonde was having a rampage since he found out that he wouldn't be able to see
Y/N for awhile. He was breathing heavily since he still smelled the sweet scent in the air. The smell drove him crazy and he wanted nothing more than to be with Y/N again.

"Dammit.. There goes more money...." Makarov cried in the corner along with the ghost of the first master, Mavis.

"Well he didn't take the news well...." Gajeel said, crossing his arms

"Aye sir!"Happy agrees

"Sting just calm down!" Natsu says

"Don't tell me what to do! I want to see her!" Sting yelled in Natsu's face, blowing his pink hair back slightly. 

"No, shes my sister. My family. I tell you what to do and you can't see her." Natsu crosses his arms over his chest

"I can control myself!" Sting protested for what seemed like the hundredth attempt

"If we weren't able to control ourselves last year, what makes you think that you can?" Gajeel growls "I hate to agree with iron daddy here but he's right. You could kill her, Sting." Laxus says

"HEY WHO ARE YOU CALLIN 'IRON DADDY'?!"

Sting puts his head down in defeat pouting, 'They're right. I would just gonna end up pouncing on her again.'
