Having walked out for the second time, Jem stepped out of the house to try and block Ella's sobs from his ears. He felt so depressed, angry and sad for failing to make her stop crying.

"Why are you still here?" He asked when he found the Ella that fooled him, and the one responsible for Ella running away from him, standing outside the door. All he wanted then was to punch and maybe kill her but then, Ella would not want that and she still had Ella's appearance.

"I'm.. I'm so sorry Jem. I--" She was cut when Jem slammed her against a tree and had his grip on her neck.

"Don't you ever call my name. Who are you?" He growled, giving her a hint that one more lie and she's toast.

"Le-- *cough* Let me-- go!" she whispered and continuously tapped Jem's hand. Jem loosened his hold a bit but didn't let the impostor out of his grasps.

"Speak!" He commanded using his Alpha power. The woman jolted and bowed her head in submission with a slight whimper. This shocked Jem and wondered if she was a pack member for her to submit to him.

"I-I'm re-really sorry Je-- I mean Alpha. I... I just had to do this." she spoke and once again connected their lips as she forced herself on Jem.

However, it only infuriated and disgusted Jem more as he ripped the woman off of him and pushed her away too strong she fell to the ground.

"Why did you do that?!" Jem screamed and wiped his lips vigorously, hoping the feeling of her lips on his would go away.

"Why? It worked last time?" she whispered to herself and looked down. "This was not supposed to happen!! You were supposed to make love to me and forget HER completely! You were supposed to fall in love with me! You were supposed to be MINE!!" she screamed.

"Who are you? Tell me your name woman!! Show me your real self!!" I commanded her.

"No.. You are mine. From when I was still a child, I always wanted you. I watched you from afar because I was still a nobody.. but I changed! I changed for you!" She stated and clung unto Jem.

"But then.. She came into the picture. You drifted farther away from me and I hated her since then. But then I saw Brent! He took me to this man and he told me he was gonna help me make you see that you really belonged to me and not her! Please Jem! Please tell me that it is I whom you really love and not the outsider!" she desperately pleaded to Jem and cried.

"I do not know who you are but listen here. It is not my fault that you wasted your lifetime wishing there was an 'Us' but I'm sorry, blame it to the goddess of destiny because you so happened to be someone who is not my mate." Jem said and took the grip of the woman off of him as she slowly slid down to the ground while she sobbed.

"This was not supposed to happen.." she kept on murmuring. "For what reason did I have to abandon myself as Criselda?"

"Cri..selda? You are Criselda?" Jem spoke, utterly shocked, and watched her image as Ella slowly melt away. "Wha.. How..? Why..?"

"I met Brent, Alpha. He knew I was in love with you and so took me to a man he knew that was gonna help me get you. He told me that I needed to pose as the Luna to get closer and wait for you to make a move on me so I can be with you forever.

"He casted a spell on me and told me it was to activate on the day you have your own heat, when your desire for your mate skyrockets. One night, I suddenly changed into the Luna and I knew the spell was already active so I went to your place. When you opened the door and found me, you immediately encased me in your arms and you would not start to imagine how it made me happy. To finally blind you to the truth, I kissed you.

"I loved the days and nights you untiringly showed me your love and devotion.. but even then, I knew you were starting to doubt me. I wanted to stay beside you always Jem.. That was the life I only wanted; a life with you."

"Cris.. I am sorry but that won't ever happen." Jem said and pivoted on his heel, about to walk away when Criselda caught his arm.

"Why?! Is it because you are bound to her by faith? by destiny? Is it because she just so happened to be your mate?! You can always choose your mate Jem! Choose me! Please!" Criselda pleaded.

"It is not like that." Jem started and took a step away from Criselda. "I love Ella and that is a fact that will never change. I got lucky she was my mate but even if she wasn't.. Mate or not, I'd definitely still want to be with her. So I'm sorry but go now before I change my mind and have you banished from the pack."

"No.. You don't have to do that.. because from now on. I'm leaving this pack, Alpha.. No, Jem Baskerville. And you'll be sorry for all of this!" Criselda exclaimed and shifted in mid-air before she sprinted away, officially going rouge.

Jem watched her retreating figure and sighed as he ran a hand through his hair.

"Now that's one problem taken care of. Ahh~ I want to be with Ella." Jem muttered to himself and once again went in.

From the very start, he was scared he had gone insane to even doubt his mate. He did not like thinking that way about Ella. He did not want to not have trust in her. He seriously thought he had gone insane, so knowing that it wasn't really Ella relieved him so much he thought he was gonna melt from the anxiety leaving his body.

He went straight to their room and found Ella sleeping but occassionally hiccups and sobs every now and then. He crawled at the opposite side and laid beside her, he draped his arm across her body and made her roll towards him as he hugged her tightly.

"I'm not letting you go ever again. I'll die if you ever leave me again. So please.. don't kill me." Jem whispered to the sleeping woman and planted a sweet and gentle kiss on her forehead before he got comfortable and drifted to sleep.

Ella slowly opened her eyes and hugged Jem back. Listening to him declare to Cris that he loved her no matter what and how he'd die if she left again made her forget just why she decided not to return.

This is only for now.

She thought to herself and finally let sleep blanket them both.

Jem woke up and tried to feel Ella but she wasn't beside him. Afraid that she had left or was abducted again, he quickly got up to his feet and raced downstairs to find her playing with the pack children.

"Ah! Alpha! Good Morning!!" The children greeted with a bow and Ella turned to him.

"Morning." she greeted briefly before she turned to the kids. "Now how about you all go home? Your parents must be looking all over for you."

"We will, Luna!! Byebye~! Byebye Alpha~!" They saluted to her before they all scrammed and took different roads.

Ella stood up with a sigh and turned to head back inside the house, not looking towards Jem. She was still stubbornly refusing to let herself get caught up again.

"I.." Jem started and she paused by the door. She turned slightly to look at him cast his eyes downwards and waited for him to continue. "I thought you had.. left again." he muttered.

Ella felt her face burn at the cuteness of Jem when anxiousness, uncertainty and fear flashed across his face. She felt his sincere fear of her disappearance and she quickly turned around, pinching herself during the process and remind herself not to get carried away.

"Listen. Just because I didn't escape and run away again doesn't mean I am willing to stay here again." Ella stated as cold as she could and walked in, leaving Jem by the porch all by himself.

*Was that really necessary, your highness?*

Ella jolted to a stop and turned to the one who infiltrated her mind as she let her guard down for just a mere second.

"I'm sorry." Ella whispered and walked away. Zyll just stood there and watched her walk in the kitchen before he turned to the crestfallen Jem still standing outside and heaved a heavy sigh.

Such troublesome fellows.

He thought to himself and turned to return back upstairs and wake the others up.

That meal was one silent, awkward, and heavy atmosphered breakfast they shared. It was incredibly silent that you could hear a pin drop or the ticking of the grandfather clock.

The grating sound of the chair being pushed back seized everyone's attention almost so easily because of the silence and they all looked up to Ella's figure moving over to the sink and set her plate on the dishwasher that was below.

"Where are you going?" It suddenly slipped out of Jenny's mouth as she watched Ella about to step out of the dinning room. Ella stopped, a bit surprised by her sudden question, and turned to her.

"I'll be up in my room." was all she said before she walked away.

Jenny looked back down to her cereal and just continued eating in silence. Jem, who barely ate anything, stood up after Ella and placed his plate over on the sink. Everyone's gaze followed him and Levi risked asking him too.

"Where are you off to, Jem?"

"Patrol." and after that, he went out through the back door and shifted before he sped away.

Everyone looked at each other and sighed. The once sweet couple that almost gave them diabetes was now giving them chills at how cold they were.

Jenny was the most sad. She was incredibly happy to be able to interact more with his brother now that he seemed to have lighten up after Ella arrived and now he was back to how he used to be- a silent, cold, and detached person. She feared he wasn't gonna be able to function well as an Alpha with his state like that.

"Seriously.. what the hell is wrong with them? Okay, I know I was wrong for telling Jem that he might be crazy for doubting his mate when he had every right to but I thought that now he finally retrieved and marked Ella, everything would be fine! What the hell?" Levi complained and gobbled up his food.

"Just leave the princess be. She's just a little confused and in conflict right now." Rin chimed in and remained calm as she ate her breakfast even with the heavy atmosphere.

"But how long will this last?" Jenny muttered.

They all fell silent at Jenny's question and looked down. Even without speaking, they all knew they were thinking the same thing. It was gonna take a while for things to calm down and return to the way it used to be.

"Umm.. Hello? Good Morning." they all heard a small voice call out accompanied with a knock.

Jenny stood up and walked to the door to open and answer it.

"Yes?"

"Is the Luna in?" a little boy, around the age of 10, stood there and looked up to Jenny.

Jenny looked towards the stairs then back to the boy.

"Yes she is but I don't think she wants to see anyone right now." Jenny answered.

Something was odd about the boy. He smelled different and the vibes she was getting alarmed her a bit.

"Please tell her Elzer has come for her." he smiled innocently.

This sparked a trigger in Jenny and the alarm she felt rose. The others that happened to hear the name all bolted up and raced to the door but they were all sent flying inside the house.

The boy walked in, the smile still in its face, and slowly morphed into Elzer. He looked mad and angry. He turned to the familiars and glared at them then turned upstairs where a stunned Ella was standing.

"Ah! Ella! So you were here. I thought some bad person had abducted you and who knows what they might have done to you." He said, the gentle and innocent smile returning to his face.

Ella carefully walked down and watched her grunting familiars, Jenny and Levi.

"Wha.. What happened?" she asked. Elzer did not answer though and only engulfed her in a tight embrace.

"I was so scared." he whispered.

"E-Elzer.. What happened? I.. I heard a blast and felt magic and then.."

"Nothing you should worry yourself about." Elzer cut her and gently broke the hug as he smiled at her. "Now let us go home. I'll cook you your favorite."

"Wa-Wait Elzer!" Ella cried and slipped out of his hold.

"What's wrong, Ella? Do you want to stay here? Do you want to be hurt again? Is that it? He's only going to hurt you Ella. Trust me! You're better off living without him!" Elzer burst that scared Ella.

"Elzer.. He's.. He's my mate and.. he has marked me already." Ella told Elzer and pushed her hair, that hid the marks, away to show him.

"It's.. It's nothing to worry about Ella. I can.. I can erase those. Believe me, he'll never hurt you again. Just come with me." Elzer responded and grabbed Ella's wrists again, dragging her out the house.

Ella put up a fight for a while but Elzer blew magic particles at her that sent her to a temporary coma and carried her in a bridal carry. He was ten steps away from the house when a large sandy wolf blocked his path and bared its fangs at him.

"Let her go." Jem snarled.

"Step aside." was Elzer's only response and he emitted a strong and dangerous aura.

"Drop her and I'll consider letting you go. Alive." Jem retorted.

"I believe you don't know the predicament you're in. Step aside before I kill you." Elzer replied.

"Leave my mate alone before I bloody kill YOU." Jem growled and crouched for an attack.

Elzer let her float and hover above them as he too prepared for an attack.

"You will pay for abducting my mate."

"She wasn't yours and she'll never be yours. Even before she was born, she was always meant to be mine. You've got no right to call her yours." Elzer told Jem.

"How dare you.."

"Yes, because Princess *Eir, princess of the Aesirs, was meant to be mine, Prince Elzer, prince of the Vanirs." Elzer said with a dangerous smirk before launching the first attack that caught Jem off guard.

"She was mine, she is mine, and she will always be mine. Remember that, mangy beast."
