Theory time

Ok so before some of you complain that I'm on here and not writing NAOS like I said the other day that I was doing more of, I genuinely have been writing more(still not sure when it will be out, but hopefully before I get back to school(I'm still on my Easter break and am going back next Monday)(but no promises that it'll be out by then, that's just my personal goal with it)). But because I have written quite a lot over the past couple weeks, I thought I would give myself a break for 1 or 2 days, and instead talk about a theory I have for ii episode 13(and also for the rest of the series, but I'll get onto that after I finish my prediction for ep 13 because these 2 theories are linked), which I thought of not long after my interview with Adam, based off a couple things he said in that interview, and that I have been meaning to post about for ages but have constantly forgotten to do. Well, I say theory, it's really just speculation, based off what he said in the interview and a bit of logic. Basically, I have a theory on who will get eliminated next.

Ok, so let's go back to my interview with him. As you all know, I jokingly asked for my final question "what is going on in the life of Knife?" Expecting to get a funny response or something, because at 1 point in 1 of his previous livestreams he and the others were joking about a school magazine publishing an issue titles "what is going on in the life of Knife" or something like that without any context to ii, and with Justin's face on the front, but he took that question seriously, and to directly quote what he said:
"Knife's just chilling!  He's playing this fun game for a million dollars and finds himself surrounded in utter chaos.  Between Suitcase/Baseball's feud, Mic/Taco's secret alliance, Lightbulb's antics, and Fan's alien egg, he seems to be the only rational person left!  Can he use that to his advantage?"

Seems normal right. But why has he left out Test Tube from that answer? He sent these answers to me after episode 12, so it's not surprising that Painty wasn't mentioned, but no Test Tube either? I mean yeah, she doesn't really interact with anyone other than Fan and Lightbulb(which only really happened in episode 12) that often or too much, but surely she deserves a mention when talking about the chaos, or at the very least her inventions deserve a mention because they have completely affected the previous episodes twice so far(in episode 3 when she splits apart YinYang which was quite interesting, and in episode 12 when she and Lightbulb accidentally went back in time to episode 1 and accidentally changed the future), and her inventions could easily do the same in the future. I mean, Taco literally stole the bowtie from Test Tubes lab after she went back in time, as well as the taser at some unknown point(probably not long before episode 11 because if she had it back in episode 10, she could of gotten Mic to taser people in the bright lights so they wouldn't win), and probably also multiple other machines which could easily come into play in the future, but it's not mention once in that. In the live stream right after episode 12 Adam asked everyone who wanted to ask questions to do it on a certain link, and my question was "did Taco take anything from Test Tubes lab other than the bow tie, and if so what, and will we see it in the future?" And they didn't answer. I mean sure, they might not of seen that question, but if they did and we're just ignoring it, it means that if she stole something, it could be an important plot point in the future episodes. Yeah, I'm probably looking too deeply in the most useless, insignificant details, but that's kinda what I do, and if I'm wrong about this then you all have the right to....uhh idk, be mean to me or something. But still, the fact that she isn't mentioned at all is a bit suspicious to me, almost as if she isn't as much of an important character in the future story, and like I said, sure she doesn't interact with many characters too much, but still, she has played a bigger role than people realise; who was it that made the rocket in episode 2 for the bright lights that could of gotten them to win if the grand slams weren't actually a bit better with teamwork back then? Who was it that rebuilt Mephone after going to meeple, with that weird wire that Toilet got, which gave him the ability to make the maze and the bucket brigade course in eps 10 and 11(and that I think Steve Cobbs could use to control him because of or something(idk, but I am praying that at the end of this season Steve will be revealed to be the main villain, and all the contestants will have no choice but to team up with Taco or something to defeat him(I need a Taco redemption arc)))? And who was it that originally had the taser before Taco stole it, that she nearly got Mic to use on Balloon before she refused, showing that although she is taking advice from Taco, she still has her own morals and won't follow her blindly AND that same taser that Mic got Taco to let her return in episode 12, which led to Taco and Mic being in the lab when Test Tube and Lightbulb got sent back in time, meaning Mic got nervous because she knew what happened, leading to Knife getting suspicious of her, leading him to find out about Taco? When you think about it, Test Tube is a bigger deal than most people, including herself and previously myself too, realise, so it's really weird that Adam just forgot about her in that question.

Ok, so that's my evidence(like I said, not much), so now it's time for me to logic this. Out of all the contestants left in at the moment, there are only 3 that with current storylines make logical sense to get rid of; Fan, Test Tube, and Lightbulb. All 4 of the ex-grand slams have their own drama that can't just be resolved in 1 episode(I mean sure, the Baseball/Suitcase feud started at the end of 11, but not much happened between the 2 in 12 because Baseball was all salty. They need to actually talk it out for that to be resolved, which Baseball won't do until he starts to get less salty(or more angry), which will only happen if Suitcase tries to make it up to him(or if she accidentally keeps on angering him), which won't all happen in 1 episode. And as for Knife and Mic, like Taco said, if Knife gets eliminated, he'll think it's them, and he'll spill the beans, so unless Test Tube has some sort of machine that can erase his memory of seeing her(which not only is anticlimactic, but also once again shows the importance of Testy), and they decide to eliminate him so he doesn't get suspicious again, he's not going anywhere anytime soon. And Mic definitely won't go any time soon because of this Taco thing(I honestly think she's gonna make it to 2nd place, because then it would be a nice parallel to season 1 when Taco only got to 2nd place). But the ex-bright lights aren't really involved in any storylines at the moment, unless Bulby gets all upset about Painty going last episode, which I can see happening for a few episodes(out of all the ex bright lights, I honestly think she'll go the furthest, but more about that in a bit).

Ok, so onto the speculation beyond episode 13, I already told you that I think Mic is definitely gonna make it to the finale, but as for who else, I think it's between Knife and Bulby. Knife knows about Taco, so he could easily blackmail them both to make sure he gets to the finale or something. And even if he doesn't, if he makes it to the finale, he'll know what is at stake if he looses, which, unless he tells anyone else and they end up in the finale, would be pretty dramatic. . But what if it's Lightbulb who gets to the finale instead? I mean, at first glance of this statement, you might be thinking "but Abbie, this is Lightbulb we are talking about, how could you ever think she would make it to the finale?"

To put things simply, Microphone. Loads of you will be confused by this, so I'll just explain. Before Taco came along, I always saw Mic as Bulbys parallel. Sure, they aren't as similar as Salt and Pepper, but they do have many similarities. They are both clumsy, they are both wildcards, they both consider someone who they once didn't get on well with as one of their best friends(Painty and Cheesy(and also technically Test Tube too now, but I'm focusing more on Painty because I've already talked tons about Testy this chapter)) and have both had 1 episode when they show how close they are to another character, who is also one of their best friends(Soap in episode 9 and Fan in episode 10). Not to mention they both have 2 powers that we know of(Mic is super loud and can hear much better than most people if she wants(both linking to sound), and Bulby can turn her light on and can mimic electricity(both linking to light(because when she mimics electricity you can see it)) the fact that they link to light and sound is a good parallel to me because not only are both linked to 2 of your senses, but also both move in waves)

But why am I talking about their parallels? Taco. The moment she showed up is the moment when I stopped seeing the parallels between the 2. I mean, the 2 main parallels between them that I always thought about before I looked more into their similarities for this theory are their clumsiness and the fact that they are both huge wildcards, but the moment Taco came into the picture she took that away from Mic. I mean sure, she has still acted rash while Taco was around, like when she yelled at Knife so he could find them when he was still in the maze, or when instead of tasering Balloon she talked to him, but even though Taco was around when both of these happened, it was Mic acting on her own, not Taco, which I think shows pretty well that Mic will always be a wildcard at heart, and that Taco doesn't want her to be because of how risky it is. But Mic and Bulby might be able to be paralleled again. No, I'm not saying that I think that Taco, or someone else is gonna try and trick her into working together and she's gonna agree. Quite the opposite.

Take a think. When did Taco first properly come into the picture. I'm not talking about when we saw her in the bushes in episode 7, I'm talking about when she revealed herself to Mic. And I'm also not talking about which episode that happened in, I'm talking about when did it happen compared to recent events. It was when Mics confidence was lower than it ever was, and you know why her confidence was so low? Her 2 best friends had just gotten eliminated back to back because the audience found them both annoying and the contestants found them both annoying, and she knew that the audience and contestants also found her annoying(I mean yeah, not everyone found the 3 of them annoying. I certainly didn't. I loved Cheesy's puns, found Soap freaking out hilarious, and related so much to Mic when it came to loudness, clumsiness and being a huge wildcard in everything I do on weather I would actually be successful(I mean, normally the answer is no, especially when it comes to sports, but occasionally I can actually do something good, and I get so proud when I do)). Mic felt like she was alone, and she was worried that she wouldn't be able to win on her own, and that's why she accepted Tacos help. Then we have Lightbulb, who I've already established is a parallel to Microphone. In the last episode, her best friend Painty got eliminated. I just predicted that Test Tube is next. What if it's Fan after that. Lightbulb, just like Microphone, could easily loose her confidence because of her 3 best friends get eliminated back to back, and might also feel alone, and might even think that she can't make it alone. And I can see this happening. As much as I love Taco, she is far from a saint, and has already pulled the strings to make Balloon(and by extension Nickel(tbh, I think she knew it would be a double elimination, and I think she knew who Suitcase would vote for, and that everyone would find out who she voted for, and counted on it happening so that her and Baseball would be split up)) eliminated, so she could easily and happily do it again to Fan and Test Tube. All she has to do is get everyone mad enough at them both, and she already knows that at least 1 person would vote for them both. But why would Taco decide to go for them? Because although the 3 of them aren't in an official alliance, they might as well be. They will definitely help each other out in challenges, especially after Painty was eliminated, and they now know that they have to stick together when voting, because if they did last episode, Painty would still be in, so they wouldn't want to risk it again, and if they listen to 1 person at the elimination on who to vote for, that person literally has 3 votes, which would definitely mean Mic has a higher risk of being eliminated. The 3 of them are dangerous together because they have the numbers, so unless they don't stick together or 2 of them get eliminated early, they would easily win.

But why would Taco leave Lightbulb in instead of Fan and Test Tube? Well, I'm certainly not Taco, and I definitely don't know how she thinks, but if I were her, I would see Lightbulb as the smallest threat. Or at least, she is when she's alone. I mean think about it; Knife by far is the biggest threat to Mic and Taco, even without knowing about their alliance, because he is strong, smart, and he gives out such good advice that he is probably at this point quite popular. He would normally be the most logical person to get rid of next, but they can't get rid of him because the moment they do he will spill the beans, so I honestly think he'll make it to the final 3 at least. Then there's Baseball, who is also probably quite strong, and by far isn't an idiot. He is also normally quite popular, but after the feud between him and Suitcase, he's acting so salty he could easily loose his popularity, and he definitely isn't giving the challenges his all like he used to, so he won't be an issue for much longer. Then there's Suitcase, who at the beginning of the season would of definitely be the smallest threat, and would probably be about to cross the finish line when someone yells at her to stand still for a minute which would allow Mic to get to the finish line first, but the thing is, she's not a pushover anymore. She's not only learned how to stand up for herself and others, but has also proven herself to be untrustworthy, because she on purposely voted for her own alliance member, and therefore eliminated him. Sure, she didn't mean to eliminate him, and was only standing up for Balloon, but she still voted for her alliance member. And sure, that made her a lot less popular, but still. And as for Fan and Test Tube, sure at first they don't seem like much of a threat, but they are the 2 smartest contestants there. I mean, sure they probably aren't the best at physical challenges, but if 1 of the challenges happens to be a quiz, unless she isn't there or they do something to distract her, we all know who's getting immunity. Plus, like I've already said, other than Lightbulb and Fan, she mostly keeps to herself, which means that sure, she won't become friends with the ex grand slams that easily, but she is also less likely to anger them enough to get voted for. And as for Fan, you might not think he's that smart when you first meet him, but honestly although he isn't smart, he certainly isn't stupid. He's more knowledgeable than smart(which is basically how I describe geeks, mostly because it's true). I mean think about it, sure if you were to ask him what sodium chloride is and what type of bond it is(a type of salt, ionic bond(yes I am more geeky than nerdy, but I'm a little bit of a nerd XDD)), he will probably have no clue what you're talking about, but he is a huge geek, especially for the show that he is in, and we've already seen him "observing every physical feature" about the Cherries to "put on his blog" earlier on this season, and I have no doubt that by now he knows almost everything there is to know about most of the other contestants. Not to mention, out of all the characters who are most likely to watch all of the ii season 2 episodes and see Taco and Mic, he is by far the most likely. Compared to all of them, Lightbulb definitely isn't a threat. I mean sure, she sometimes does something amazing, like how she fixed the time machine and figured out how to make the present right again, but she's also so clumsy, and does also mess up quite a bit, like how she was the reason why the 2 of them went back in time in the first place. And sure, she's probably the most popular person there, but if she's the smallest threat, it's better for her to be popular, because it means she's more likely to get to the finale, and will therefore be easier to defeat, especially if by then she's still sad about all of her friends going back to back.

But if this does happen, I think we will truly see the parallels between her and Mic shine through because I think that she'll probably be really sad at first, but unlike Mic, she'll stay true to herself(and if anyone who isn't in finds out about Taco and tries to help Bulby, I don't think she'll accept that help, because then it can show what it might of been like for Mic if she said no), and continue playing to the best of her ability, and like I said, I'm pretty sure that Mic will come in second place, so if Lightbulb makes it to the finale, I think she will definitely win. Think about it, it would be an amazing metaphor: the person who lets hardships change them and who listens to the wrong people will never win, but the person who lets every hardship make them stronger will. Last season there was a wonderful metaphor with friendship, so why should this season not also have a metaphor?

Plus, also in my interview I asked which character has the most layers to their personality, and Adam replied saying Lightbulb, which I definitely didn't expect, I honestly expected him to say Taco, because that girl would honestly need L O A D S of layers to her personality to allow her to get the redemption arc she needs(you can't have her looking sad at the time machine portal and then not give her a redemption), but if this were to happen to Bulby, she could definitely have a lot more layers to her personality than we think.

But yeah, that's my speculation of what could happen in the future of ii, but like I said this is obviously not set in stone because obviously there is almost no evidence for it, so don't be surprised if (and probably when) this is disproven, and if it is, oh well, it was fun to think of anyway, and at least Bulby being really sad won't make me sad

So anyway guys, that's all for now, thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed, and I'll see you in the next chapter, bye 😜
