HwaYi POV

The next morning, I woke up in my room. I couldn't even remember how I got back to my room from the gardens. I tried to shake it off as I climbed out of my bed.

Just as I was coming out of the bathroom, my door burst open. "Are you awake now?" one of the coordi Unnies asked giddily.

"Yeah, why?" I was a bit confused.

"Just wanted to make sure before we asked about last night."

"Last night? What about it?"

"How come you were with Hoya?"

My eyes widened "How did you know about that?"

"Because he was the one that carried you back to your room last night."

"He......carried.......me?" I quickly closed my eyes in embarrassment.

"So, what happened?" the Unnies asked as they handed me my clothes for the day.

"I must have fallen asleep while talking with him last night." I figured telling the truth would be best.

"Have you been meeting up with him in secret?" another Unnie asked teasingly.

"Not really. I've just been going down to the gardens to take in the scenery and I happen to run into him there."

Thankfully they didn't ask anymore questions. I wouldn't have known what to say.

After the Unnies finished my makeup, I rushed down to the lobby to find out who I was supposed to be going out with today and what we would be doing. I was very surprised when I saw all of Infinite standing around waiting for me. "Hi guys!" I called out as I approached them.

"Hi!" they all replied.

I looked at all of them and asked "So, who am I going to spend the day with?" When my eyes landed on Hoya, I felt myself blushing and quickly looked to a different member.

"Me" Sunggyu pouted.

"What's with the face? Don't you want to hang out with me?"

"He's just upset because the boss said that we all had to go today if we wanted to go" Woohyun smiled.

I walked over to Sunggyu, smiled and said "Don't worry about it Oppa. Today is your day, so expect me to be glued to your side."

He perked up a little and smiled. "Okay then, let's go!"

I hooked my arm around his and we all took off on our outing. I was a bit surprised when I saw that we were taking a taxi wherever we were going. I guess that means no Central Park today.

When we finally arrived at our destination, I understood why the boss wanted them all to go together; The Statue of Liberty was right in front of us. Well it was on an island, but you get the picture. We were going for a tour of Liberty and Ellis Islands.

Thankfully we arrived early in the morning so the lines for the ferry weren't too bad. We quickly passed through the security checkpoint and were directed to wait for the next ferry. As we were waiting, I noticed that Sunggyu seemed a little nervous. "What's the matter?"

"Nothing" he replied shakily.

"Hyung is afraid of water" Woohyun teased.

"Oh" I nodded, remembering him admitting his fear of water when he did 'The Dreaming Sea'. "Don't worry Sunggyu, I'll be with you the entire time." He smiled a little, but I could tell that his pride was hurt a bit.

We boarded the ferry and took off for Liberty Island. All the guys ran up to the upper deck except Sunggyu. "You can go with them if you want."

"Why would I do that? Today is your day" I smiled. "I told you, I was going to be glued to your side."

The boat made it's way to the island and we all disembarked. While all the others took off to look around, Sunggyu and I decided to walk around only a little bit. We then decided to ditch the guys and head over to Ellis Island on the next ferry.

"Are you sure the guys will be able to find us later?" I was nervous.

"Don't worry. I've got my phone just incase" he smiled.

We got off the ferry and walked inside the building. We noticed that there were some people walking around in tour groups and others walking around by themselves. We lined up at a tour station and were given headsets that were designed to take you on a self guided tour. We walked around listening to the recorded voice tell us all about the history of the Island and what immigrants went through upon arriving here.

Once we finished our tour, we returned our headsets and walked out to the Wall of Honor to take in the view. While looking out over the harbor, Sunggyu looked a bit uncomfortable.

"Is something wrong?" I asked.

He sighed a bit. "I really don't know how say what I want to. I don't want you to be offended."

"What is it?"

He sighed a bit more, but asked me directly "How do you feel about Hoya?"

"H...Hoya?" I nervously stuttered back. I was hoping that this week would pass by quickly and that everything that had happened would all be in the past. I never expected Sunggyu to bring this up. "What do you mean?"

"Do you like him?"

Talk about being straightforward. "I like all of you guys" I smiled the best I could.

"You know that's not what I meant. I want to know if you like him romantically" he stressed.

I nervously played with my hands. "I...... can't answer that."

"Listen HwaYi, I already know what happened last night. I saw Hoya carrying you to your room." I froze. "What I want to know is how you truly feel about him. Are you in love with him?"

"I told you........ I can't answer that!" I began to choke up. I thought I had been controlling my feelings well. That I wouldn't be affected by something like this; but I was wrong and I now I knew it.

"HwaYi....."

"Sunggyu...... Please........ Don't ask me anymore" I managed to get out before my tears began to fall.

Sunggyu walked over to me and wrapped his arms around me. "Why?"

"I can't admit to it" I cried. "If I do, I'll never be able to let go when I have to."

Sunggyu just held me and let me cry in his arms. When I had finally managed to compose myself, he smiled at me and said "Would you like something to drink?"

"Sure" I smiled back.

"Okay! I'll be right back!" he smiled more as he ran off to the cafe to get us something to drink.

I leaned on the railing and sighed as I took in the view.

"Looks like you are having a good time with Sunggyu" Hoya said as he leaned on the railing next to me.

"What are you doing here?" I was shocked to see him.

"Sunggyu sent us a text saying that you guys would be waiting for us here" he said as he waved his phone in front of me.

"HwaYi!" Sungjong shouted as he ran over to us as well.

I was still in too much of a shock from seeing Hoya, that I couldn't process anything. All I knew was that I had to get away from him as quickly as possible. "Excuse me" I said politely and then rushed as quickly as I could towards the building.

I thought I was safe, but found out I wasn't when Hoya grabbed my arm. "Where are you going?"

Crap! Why did he have to follow me? I blushed "B....Bath....room...." I pointed to the sign inside.

"Oh" he blushed too as he quickly let go of my arm. "Sorry about that."

"It's okay" I said as I quickly went to the bathroom. What was I thinking? How am I supposed to get away now?

I peeked out of the bathroom and saw that Hoya had rejoined the rest of the guys outside. I took the opportunity to escape and ran to the dock. As I was waiting for the ferry to unload, my phone began to ring. "Hello?"

"Where are you?" Sunggyu asked nervously.

"I'm not feeling too well, so I'm going to go back to the hotel" I lied.

"Wait for me, I'll come with you" he quickly replied.

"No!" I panicked.

"Why?"

I quickly regained my composure and said "You should stay and enjoy your time off with the guys."

"You shouldn't be alone."

"Don't worry about me. I'll be fine on my own."

Suddenly, my phone was grabbed out of my hand. "Hyung? I'm with HwaYi" Hoya said. I tried to get my phone back, but it was no use. "Don't worry. I'll make sure she gets back safely. Bye!" He hung up my phone and handed it back to me.

"Why did you do that?" I screamed at him.

"Do you have any idea how worried we were about you?" he screamed back.

"I'm fine! So just go back!" I yelled as I boarded the ferry.

I climbed up to the top deck and leaned against the railing. I took some deep breaths in an attempt to calm myself down, but I couldn't relax at all.

Hoya came up behind me and held onto the railing in front of me. "Just face it, you're stuck with me."

I sighed heavily "Can't you see that I want to be alone?"

"I'm sorry" he said sincerely. "I just couldn't send you back on your own. It's too dangerous."

I sighed more "I'm sorry if I worried you, but I really will be fine on my own."

"I don't know what is bothering you and you don't have to tell me either" he said soothingly. "Whether you need a shoulder to cry on or someone to listen to your problems, I just want you to know that I'll be there for you."

How does he know exactly what to say to make me weak in the knees? "Thank you" I said as I leaned against him with a tear escaping from my eye.

The whole way back to the hotel, he remained silent. He just followed me at a short distance.

When we got to my room, I turned and said "Thank you for walking me back."

He smiled a little and replied "It wasn't a problem."

"Good night" I said as I opened my door and went inside.

"Night" he reciprocated and then strolled off to his own room.

That night, I cried myself to sleep.

Hoya POV

I could tell that she was surprised to see me on the island, but then she just ran away from us. I wonder what is bothering her?

When I caught up with her, she said she had to use the restroom. I felt embarrassed for stopping her, so I just let her go and returned to the guys.

Sunggyu came out from the little cafe they had and asked "Where is HwaYi?"

"She said she had to use the bathroom" I replied. I looked towards the bathroom and saw her sneaking away, so I followed her.

When she walked all the way to the docks, I got worried. Why was she running away? Her phone rang and she answered it. Looks like it was Sunggyu Hyung. She said she would go back to the hotel and that he should stay. I didn't feel comfortable with the situation, so I just grabbed her phone.

"Hyung? I'm with HwaYi" I told him. She tried to get her phone back, but I couldn't give it to her just yet.

"Hoya?" he seemed surprised. "Please don't leave her alone."

"Don't worry. I'll make sure she gets back safely. Bye!"

I handed her back her phone and I could tell she was very upset. She kept screaming at me, but after what Sunggyu Hyung had said and how she was acting, I knew that I needed to be with her. I tried to comfort her on the ferry and it seemed like it helped, but she still wouldn't talk to me. We walked in silence back to the hotel and I did my best to give her some space because that is what she wanted.

We got to her room and she thanked me for walking her back and said good night before closing the door.

I returned to my room and began thinking. What happened? Did Sunggyu Hyung say something that upset her? They seemed really close when they were hugging each other. Does he like her?
