Goodbye New York......

Goodbye Infinite.......

Goodbye Hoya.......

The tears started to fall as I waited for the bus bound for home.

Suddenly, my phone began to ring. I looked down and saw that it was Hoya. "Hello" I answered as happily as I could.

"Where are you?" he asked. "Should I come out and get you?"

Hoya POV

"No!" she shouted in reply, but regained her composure and said "The fans would mob you if you did that."

"Then hurry up and get back here" I joked.

Suddenly I head a voice in the background "Now boarding Bus 235 at gate 4!"

Bus? She couldn't be. She wouldn't. I quickly stood up "Where are you HwaYi?"

HwaYi POV

Crap! I can't believe he heard that. I sighed to myself. I guess there is no point in lying to him now. "I'm on my way home."

"Why?" I could tell he was shocked and upset.

"I'm not so good with goodbyes, so it's just better this way. Tell the others I had a great time for me" I choked up a bit. "Goodbye Hoya."

I grabbed my ticket and rushed to the gate to board the bus. Once I was seated, the tears began to flow uncontrollably.

Hoya POV

After she hung up, I made a B line for the door, but Sunggyu stopped me.

"Let me go!" I screamed at him.

"What are you going to do?" he screamed back at me.

"I have to stop her! I can't let her go! I love her!" I started sobbing.

"I know how you feel Hoya......"

"Then let me go!"

"Do you really think that would make her happy?" he was getting really upset.

I looked up at him in shock. What is he talking about? "Hyung....."

"Do you really think she would be happy if you gave up everything you worked so hard for, just to chase after her?"

I thought for a moment, but couldn't answer.

Sunggyu placed a hand on my shoulder and said "Now is not the time to chase her. You're only going to make her push you away if you do that."

"Then what should I do?"

He sighed a bit, but said "First, we need to finish our World Tour."

"But Hyung!"

"Listen Hoya" he looked at me seriously "How do you think the fans will react if they find out about her?"

I thought about it for a moment and realized what he was getting at. Our fans wouldn't like it if we were dating. "So what do I do Hyung? I love her too much to let her go!"

"I'm not saying you have to stop loving her. I'm saying you have to be smart about this" he stressed the importance of his words.

I listened to what Sunggyu had to say and knew he was right. We gathered our belongings and returned to the hotel. The next day, we left New York and continued on our World Tour leaving HwaYi behind.

HwaYi POV

Weeks passed by one after the next and soon a year had passed since my encounter with Infinite. I had returned to work and resumed my normal life, but I felt as though something was missing.

I constantly checked for updates about Infinite and saw that they had finished their World Tour. They had even started preparing for a comeback, but they wouldn't say when it would be. They all were busy with different schedules. Hoya even got a role in a drama. I can't wait to watch his acting again.

I think I had been staring at my computer too long, because my boss called out to me "HwaYi! Call a patient!"

As always, she only picks on me even though there are seven other receptionists.

"Now Serving 0.....6.....4 at station number.......4" the automated voice called out.

I made sure I was logged into all my programs and waited for my patient to arrive. My smile quickly faded to a look of shock "Hoya! What are you doing here?"

"Can we talk?" he seemed very serious.

I looked around and lied "I'm working right now and it's too busy for me to leave."

"Please" he stood waiting for me to give in.

"I can't" I stressed.

"Is there a problem?" my boss came out of her office.

"No" I tried to stop her from seeing who was at my window. "Everything is fine."

She apparently didn't believe me and still came out to check. "Oh, Hello!" Seems like she recognized him.

"Can I borrow HwaYi for a minute? I need to talk to her" he asked my boss.

She looked down at me and I quickly said "It's not that important. It can wait till I go on break."

"Why don't you just go now. I'll cover your station" she replied.

"Okay" I stood up and walked out to talk with him.

He grabbed my wrist and dragged me to a quiet place to talk. Once we were alone, I managed to pull my wrist free from his grip.

"What are you doing here Hoya?"

"I came to get what belongs to me?"

"What are you talking about?"

"You!" he pointed at me "You thief!"

"What?" I was shocked. "I never stole anything from you!"

He took a step closer to me and then wrapped me in his arms. "You stole my heart" he whispered in my ear. "Now I've come to take you back."

"Hoya...." I was speechless.

He separated from me briefly before leaning in and kissing me. "I love you HwaYi."

Hoya POV

Tears fell from her eyes after hearing my confession. Then she tried to pull away from me. "This isn't right" she choked.

"Why? What's the problem? Do you not love me?"

"It's not that" she was trying to get her thoughts straight. "I love you....... but the fans...."

"Don't worry about the fans" I smiled. "I've already taken care of that."

She looked up at me in surprise "How?"

"When you left after the concert, all I wanted to do was chase after you, but Sunggyu stopped me. He told me I had a duty and responsibility to our fans to finish our World Tour."

"He was right. Your fans should be your priority. Not someone like me."

"You're wrong! You are worth more than all the fans in the world to me!"

"Hoya!"

I regained my composure and continued to explain. "Sunggyu said that I should show the fans that it was because of them that I was able to meet and fall in love with you. That despite my love for you, I would still love them like I always have, if not more. He pushed me to do more fan service while on stage claiming that my love for you should give me a reason to love our fans more."

She chuckled a little "So that's why you've been like that?"

I blushed a little "Yeah." I paused for moment before continuing. "I wanted the fans to accept that I was in a relationship, so I've been posting messages of love to you on SNS. The fans picked up on it and rumors started to spread. They started wondering who I was seeing and how we met. Finally, our boss addressed the rumors and said that I was seeing someone. He never said who it was though. The fans didn't seem too upset by it because, to them, I never let my relationship affect my actions towards them. Plus, they never caught me on a date, so they figured I was hiding my relationship well."

"But Hoya, why would you do that?"

"Because I wanted to be with you. I wanted us to be together without my fans getting in the way. That is why Sunggyu stopped me a year ago, why I worked so hard to please the fans, and why I can now stand before you again."

"Hoya......"

"I love you HwaYi" I hugged her once more. "Please, don't leave me again."

HwaYi POV

I can't believe he has been doing all this for me. I mean, I have noticed the changes in him and I did see those messages he talked about, but I never thought that it was all for me.

He kept holding me like he thought I was going to vanish if he let go, but not so much that it was uncomfortable. I could tell that he truly meant what he said.

I slowly wrapped my arms around him and whispered "I love you too Hoya."

He pulled away from me in shock. "Really?"

"Yes Hoya" I smiled. "The reason I left without saying goodbye, was because I was afraid of how I felt."

He hugged me tighter than before "I love you so much!"

When we had finally settled down from all the confessions, I asked "What happens now?"

"You come home with me" he smiled as he held out plane tickets for two.

I was shocked. I didn't realize that he had already planned so far ahead. He really meant to bring me back with him.

"What about my job? I can't just up and leave" I was panicking.

"Yes you can!" my boss appeared out of no where along with the other members of Infinite and some of my coworkers. She walked over to me and said "You've been a little distracted ever since you came back from your trip with them a year ago. So, when they called me again this time and explained the situation, I finally understood why. If you love him that much, you should go with him. Don't hesitate. Just go" she smiled and gave me a hug.

"Thank you" I teared up. Then all the members of Infinite started cheering causing me to laugh a little.

Hoya walked over to me and held out his hand "You ready to go?"

I wiped the tears from my eyes, gently placed my hand in his and said "Yes!"

My boss handed me my bag and Hoya dragged me over to a van that was waiting for us. We all climbed in and in the shuffle, I landed on someone's lap once again.

Hoya POV

As we all climbed in the van, it became a little hectic. Somehow, HwaYi ended up on my lap once again. She looked at me and we both chuckled.

I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her.

The guys all teased me for it, but I didn't mind. She was finally mine and I wasn't going to let her go.
