Chapter 5

"Did you know that Thailand was the only country in South East Asia that wasn't colonized by a European country?" Heikenz said, teaching us some trivia's we haven't heard about Thailand.

"Oooh..." Caro and I swooned upon hearing all of what he said to us.

"More! More!" Caro cheered, may bonus pang pagpalakpak ng kamay. Napangiti ako sa reaksyon niya. I know she'll come around. Ilang oras pa lang din naman kami nagkasasama kaya kinukuha pa ni Caro ang loob ni Heikenz, but I think she's already liking him—for me—how assuming of me, right?!

Heikenz chuckled, nodding as Caro wouldn't stop unless he shared a few more facts and trivia. I don't know why I enjoyed watching him smile. It doesn't get me bore. He's like an interesting artifact sitting on the corner of an attic and if found would bring so many memories and wonders and that's what I'm seeing on him. He keeps blowing me away. Well, siya lang naman talaga ang gusto ko ring i-blow.

Heikenz tells more facts and trivia's we were surprised that we're only learning just now. It's like we're both kids who're just learning all the fun stuff into this world. We look so innocent kaya nagmumukha kaming ignorante ni Caro, but I guess that fun stuff will always make this travel crazy.

"Ah, oh! This might be weird and sound funny, but this is a tradition here in Thailand, once a year, there's a festival that's entirely dedicated to monkeys! How crazy is that, right?"

Hindi naman napigilang matawa ni Caro saka ako pinagpapalo sa balikat ko.

"Grabe, girl? Tawang-tawa lang?!" pagpuna ko.

"Hindi ko kinaya! Cine-celebrate ka pala rito, Drew?"

Sinamaan ko naman ito ng tingin at bahagyang hinampas sa balikat. "'Wag kang maingay. Mamaya palabasin tayong dalawa rito. Itataboy talaga kita na kakilala kita. Laglagan na 'to, girl."

"Gaga ka," aniya. "Nag-eenjoy na nga ako, e. Ikaw naman 'tong killjoy. Siguro gusto mo nang subuin si Heikenz 'no?"

Agad kong tinakpan ang bibig niya kasi sobrang dumi. Nagulat sina Boon-Mee at Heikenz sa aming dalawa. Nilingon ko sila at nginitian. "Don't worry, guys. This is just how we have fun!"

"Oh, alright..." Napakamot sa ulo si Heikenz. "Shall we proceed to the next area?" he proposed.

Sumunod na lang din kami ni Caro sa kanya. We were just listening to him and we keep on learning from him. I think he's really a nice guy since approachable siya at hindi siya ma-attitude. Siya pa nga itong nagpakumbaba kanina dahil sa nangyaring hindi inaasahan, but I guess he still pulled it through dahil nag-eenjoy kami rito sa museum when we thought it'll be boring and all.

It took us almost an hour when we check the other areas of the museum and I feel so overwhelmed dahil hindi ko na maalala iyong ibang sinasabi ni Heikenz. He sometimes forget na hindi namin siya naiintindihan when he speaks his language dahil sobrang carried away siya kapag nagku-kwento at nawawaglit sa isip na English at Tagalog lang ang alam namin.

When we're walking out of the museum, I couldn't seem to get the smile off of my face.

"I hope you guys enjoyed," Heikenz said, turning to face us. "I know this wasn't planned, but I hope this doesn't make your trip in Bangkok less fun because of my mistake."

"Hoy, no! Ayos lang 'yon!" aniko. "You don't have to worry about it naman. We really enjoyed our stay here... and as you can see, Caro definitely enjoyed the place." Pagturo ko sa kaibigan ko na nagpi-picture sa tabi. Tinawag ko naman ito at kinuha ang atensyon niya. She hurriedly come to our direction at winasiwas pa sa mukha ako ang rebonded niyang buhok. "Gaga ka! Pinapakain mo pa sa akin 'yang buhok mo. 'Di ba may gusto kang sabihin kay Heikenz?"

Napakunot ng noo si Caro. "Ano naman 'yon? Lunch na ba tayo?" baling niyang tanong kay Heikenz.

"Oh, are you already hungry?" he asked.

Agad namang tumango si Caro. "Yeah, the food in the plane doesn't made me full... baka ikaw bet mong gawing full ang tummy ng friend ko here." Pinalibot ni Caro ang kamay niya sa balikat ko.

I immediately shove it off dahil nakahihiya siya sa mga pinagsasabi nito. "Girl, maghunos dili ka naman! May ilang araw pa naman tayo rito. 'Wag kang speed, girl."

She chuckled. "I'm just helping you out lang naman."

Umikot ang mata ko. "Helping out. Baka ibang helping out ang gusto mong gawin, e."

"Simula nang dumating tayo rito sa Bangkok, naging dirty na ang mga bibig at pag-iisip natin. Ang lakas mo kasi maka-impluwensya, e."

Bahagya kong hinampas ang bras niya. "Gaga ka! Dinamay mo pa talaga ako. Ikaw 'tong ang dumi-dumi ng bunganga, e. But anyway, we're are we going next?"

"Alright! If you're already hungry, maybe we can stop on a food place first before we proceed to our next destination."

"Oh, wait, do they have some native Thai cuisines?"

Heikenz chuckled, nodding his head. "Of course, you're in Thailand, we served Thai foods."

Caro almost slipped out laughing to what just happened. Agad ko siyang binalingan ng matalim na tingin. Nginisihan lang ako nito, because I know it was dumb of me to ask that question.

"That's alright, guys. Shall we go now?" Heikenz said, inviting us to leave the premises.

"Are you coming with us, Boon-Mee?" Caro asked, blinking her eyes. Gusto ko ring matawa kasi ramdam ko ang pagpapa-cute nito sa kanya. I think that he's such a cutie as well, but I don't think he's her type at all—siguro crush-crush lang.

Umiling naman si Boon-Mee.

"Oh, yeah, unfortunately he's not coming with us," sagot ni Heikenz since Boon-Mee had a hard time talking with us on English. Tinapik naman nito ang balikat ng kaibigan. "But we can invite him some other time if we needed some companion. But he's going to his own work now."

"Boon-Mee, Laew Phop Kan Mai Na Krab." Pagyuko pa ni Caro.

Lumapit naman si Boon-Mee sa kanya at niyakap siya nito out of nowhere. I giggled when they both hugged each other. Sinulit pa ng gaga ang pagkayayakap sa kanya dahil ginantihan niya rin ito nang mahigpit na yakap.

When I thought Caro would only be getting a hug from him, pagkatapos yakapin ni Boon-Mee si Caro ay sa akin naman ito lumapit. It was so funny when we're both confused on how we would hug each other. Napalingon pa ako kay Heikenz and he's just smiling at us. I guess he's the one I wanted to hug, would I ever get to do that to him?

Nang umalis sa pagkayayakap sa akin si Boon-Mee ay nagpaalam na rin ito sa amin saka siya naunang umalis. After that, we just followed Heikenz out and stopped a taxi so he can bring us to the place he's talking about earlier.

Heikenz promised we would taste the best offering of India cuisines here in this place and I hope where this place is all about, it is worth our goddamn money. But I believe he's far from scamming us dahil kung gano'n, on the first place pa lang ay niloko na niya kami at hindi na umabot pa sa ganito.

Good thing, our ride only took us about ten minutes. As we arrived at our destination, to what he called, COMO Metropolitan Hotel here in Bangkok.

"Girl, keri ba natin dito?" tanong sa akin ni Caro.

Napakibit-balikat ako. "Sa tingin ko naman? Minsan lang naman tayo rito so why not make everything so worth it, 'di ba?"

"Bahala ka, girl. Ikaw naman may sagot nito, 'di ba? Just like what we've agreed on, Ikaw muna sa first day natin!" she reminded me, may pagturo pa ito sa akin ng hintuturo niya na para bang nagbabanta na sa buhay ko.

Napaikot na lang ang mata ko saka niya mabilis na isinakbit ang kamay sa braso ko. Sabik na sabik si gaga.

"So, we're here at the COMO Metropolitan Hotel.... As you can see, it's a bit luxurious, right?" Ngisi pa nito. Napakamot pa ito sa kanyang ulo. "Well, my previous clients stayed in this hotel and they do enjoyed all the amenities. If you were really looking for some best Thai foods, we're on the right place."

"Naniniwala naman kami sa 'yo, Heikenz... so thanks for bringing us here! We really hope we do enjoyed our first lunch here in Bangkok."

"You will, I promise," he said, raising his right hand as if his noting that he's not lying at all. "Please, go inside the hotel now and take your time." He motioned his hand where we found the entrance to the hotel.

Naningkit ang mata ko sa sinabi niya. "You're not joining us?" I asked.

He shook his head. "No. It's not my job to come around my clients during breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I'll be waiting outside and if you're done, just give me a call, alright?"

I was about to initiate that he's not leaving us alone here nang biglang bumitaw si Caro sa braso ko at lumapit kay Heikenz at hinawakan nito ang parehong kamay nito.

"We may just knew each other right now, but you're not leaving us alone here," Caro said.

Agad naman akong pumasok at nag-agree sa sinabi ng babaita. "Yes, Caro's right. You're coming with us and you don't have to worry about paying anything. It's on us. I'll carry those stuff, but we don't want you to stay here and be left out. Join us for lunch, dinner, or until breakfast the next day... we don't care. Alright?"

"Are you sure?" he asked, grinning.

Desidido naman akong tumango. "Yup. We won't let you stay here... so let's all go there inside and experience this kind of luxury lunch for once in a lifetime."

"I really appreciate this, guys. We're not wasting anymore of your time, let's get inside now."

Mas lumapad ang ngiti sa labi ko nang sabihin niya iyon. I tried to hide it pero mukhang hindi effective to hide it. Kinikimkim ko lang and at the end of the day siguro, I would be rolling on my bed all over and over. Kulang na lang magpatusok.

We followed Heikenz inside the hotel and a staff there directed us to the restaurant area. Para bang mas lalong inappropriate ang mga suot namin ngayon ni Caro since this place screams luxury and all tapos sobrang casual ng suot namin ngayon, but they didn't stop us though and I guess they don't have any wardrobe rules.

As soon as we're called by a staff to get on our seat, we look at the menu for lunch and it brought our mouth hanging open seeing those amounts. Napatingin si Caro sa akin at kaiibang ngisi naman ang bumalot sa mukha nito. Pinanlakihan ko siya ng mata dahil alam ko kung anong pinaplano niya ngayon, but she won't gonna listen to me. Gagawin niya pa rin ang gusto niya.

"These are all expensive," Heikenz muttered, scanning the menu prices. "Is that okay with you? You know, I can just eat outside."

Muli akong umiling sa sinabi niya saka ko siya hinawakan sa kamay. "Don't worry about how expensive it is. Order what you want and I'll pay for it."

"Or maybe you can less it to my rate," he suggested.

I shook my head once again. "Please, no. We've already agreed on your rate and you'll be getting it. This is just lunch, Heikenz. 'Wag ka nang mahiya sa akin."

He then smiled and nodded his head. "Thanks, Andrew. You're so kind."

"Bet ka kasi kaya gano'n," entrada ni Caro. "Hindi, joke lang. Kunyari wala kang narinig," Pagbawi pa ni Caro.

Napahagikgik na lang din naman si Heikenz. I tried galring at her once again pero no effect kaya naman itinuon ko na lang ang paningin ko sa lunch menu kahit medyo stress sa prices nito. But we'll be just here for a week and we've been waiting for this day to come kaya naman lulubos-lubusin na namin to the end!

"What do you think I should get, Caro?" tanong ko rito.

"Mukhang alam mo na naman sagot ko riyan," aniya.

Napakunot noo ako. "Ano naman 'yon? 'Yong Larb Ku aba?"

Umiling naman ito at dinuron niya gamit ng nguso niya ang lalaking katabi ko sa table at walang iba kung hindi si Heikenz.

"Hehe!" Hagikgik pa nito saka niya itinaas ang menu board at tinakpan ang mukha at pinahagingan niya ako ng tingin saka siya umakbot may bino-blowjob sa pamimilog ng bibig nito at pagpuwesto ng kamay sa tapat ng bibig na para bang itinataas at baba.

Pasimple ko siyang sinipa sa ilalim ng mesa at para banag gaga na umungol na agad napatingin si Heikenz sa kanya.

"She's such a weirdo, 'wag mo na lang pansinin," babala ko kay Heikenz.

Napangisi na lang din naman ito. Hiyang-hiya na ako sa ginagawa ng babaitang ito. Parang gusto ko na lang tuloy tapusin agad ang araw na ito. She's making me feel so embarrassed sa harap ni Heikenz and he might be turned off.

Pero bet nga ba ako? Ay assuming lang siguro ako. Good thing, may lunch akong kakainin ngayon... or I'll be craving for him.
