Chapter 9

Break was finally over, and some of the students were excited to be back at school. Among those students was Molly Weasley. This year Molly, along with her fellow 5th year students, had O.W.L.s they needed to take. Molly was determined to pass them, as well as being on top of her class.

She was making her way towards the Great Hall for breakfast when someone stopped her. "Ms. Weasley, might I have a word?" Professor Longbottom asked.

"I'm not in trouble am I?" Molly asked as she followed Neville away from the Hall. Neville laughed.

"Of course you aren't. Why would you assume that?" he asked.

"Well, I do have a tendency of getting detention with you most of the time," she pointed out.

"That might be true. But truth be told, you're one of the most helpful students in school," he said, Molly just nodded.

When they were out of earshot, Neville began explaining that since O.W.L.s are coming, Molly didn't need to worry about tutoring other students.

"Are you sure?" Molly asked. "I don't mind helping them."

"I know, but I want you to focus on your studies. You haven't been the best at keeping your grades up," he said, causing Molly to groan. Neville merely laughed.

"Does everyone know about my grades?"

"Pretty much," Neville said. Leave it up to Neville to tell the truth to the students. "And besides, Professor Hagrid wants too see you succeed your classes." Molly perked up when she heard that.

It was no secret that Molly and the Professor of Care of Magical Creatures cared about all kinds of animals. It was rumored that after Molly graduated that she was either going to be the new Care of Magical Creatures Professor or go to Romania and and help her Uncle Charlie with his work. Which happened to be working with dragons.

When people asked, Molly neither confirmed or denied it. She wasn't sure herself what she wanted to do. She figured that since she's in her fifth year, she had a two more years to decide.

"Really?" Molly asked, Neville nodded.

"Well I've taken most of your breakfast. I'll see you in class Ms. Weasley," Neville said, giving her a smile which she returned.

"Alright. Bye Professor!" she called as she made her way back the Great Hall. Once she walked in, she looked for her friends but couldn't find them. Instead she found Cor and his cousin, Victoria. She walked over and sat down beside Cor. "Hello my fellow students," she said.

Cor and Victoria looked up and smiled at her. "Hey Molly. How was your Christmas?" Victoria asked.

"It was good. Loud, quiet but good. Yours?" Molly answered.

"It was pretty good," Victoria said with a smile.

"That's good. Anything excited happened?" Molly asked, as she dug into her breakfast. Cor shook his head.

"Not really. It was quiet, we all did our own stuff. What about you?" Cor asked.

"Nothing really. Played some Quidditch, annoying our parents and each other," Molly said, smiling.

"Sounds like fun," Victoria said, Molly nodded.

"That's what normally goes on when we all get together."

They ate their breakfast in silence. Once they were done, the three stood up and made their way to back the Hufflepuff Common room to grab their stuff. When they had their stuff, they went their separate ways.

"Ugh!" Lola groaned as she dropped her bag on the table in the Great Hall and plopped down. Molly sat down beside her friend and giggled.

"What's the matter with you?" Cesare asked as he and Gracie sat down across the from them.

"Break was too short for my liking," Lola muttered, crossing her arms on the table and put her head down.

"It was just fine Lola. Besides, we have O.W.L.s to study for," Molly pointed out as she took out her homework for the day. Lola groaned, this time more loudly. This caused the three to laugh at their friend.

"Don't remind me. All day the professors went on and on and on about O.W.L.s at the end of the term," Lola complained.

"There aren't that bad Lola," Gracie said, trying to cheer her friend up. Lola groaned again.

"Hey guys," Cor said, coming up beside Molly before sitting down beside her. "What's wrong with her?" he asked, pointing at a disgruntled Lola.

"She's upset that break is over," Molly answered as she started doing her homework.

"Can't forget about the O.W.L.s," Cesare pointed out and laughed as Lola groaned again.

"Its like she only hears O.W.L.s and groans," Gracie observed, and as on cue Lola groaned. This caused them to laugh.

"Molly? You going to introduce us to your friend?" Cesare asked, Molly gave him a pointed look.

"Like you don't know him already," Molly said, causing Cesare to smile. "Whatever. Cor, this is Cesare, his girlfriend Gracie. Guys, this is Cor," Molly introduced. Cor smiled and nodded in greeting.

"Nice too meet you," Gracie greeted nicely.

"Same to you," Cor said with a smile.

"So Molly, how are your grades?" Cesare asked, Lola groaned making Molly laugh and shake her head.

"Lola, we weren't talking about you."

"Don't care. Grades, O.W.L.s, school its all the same," Lola grumbled.

Molly shook her head and answered, "Good. Professor Grint said if I keep up my grades I'll be able to start going to Hogsmeade." Lola perked up.

"Are you serious?" she asked. "Does that mean you'll be going on that double date?"

Molly made a face. "Yeah I guess."

"I still can't believe you agreed to going with her and her mystery guy," Cesare said shaking his head.

"I think it's cute." Gracie smiled.

"Cute? How's it cute?" Cesare asked, his girlfriend just shrugged.

"Whoever Molly's going with, I'm sure he'll be lovely," Gracie said. "She sure needs someone who will adore her and love her for who she is." Molly stopped writing and kept her head down. She hadn't told them it was Cor and she defiantly hadn't told Cor her problems.

Cor looked at her questioningly. Molly couldn't look at him. She couldn't answer the questions she knew he had. "Well I'm sure we'll have have fun," Lola said, trying to be the best friend. "Besides, it's not until February."

"When exactly?" Molly asked, grateful that the subject of her dropped.

"The 14th," Lola said, smiling sheepishly.

"Lola," Molly groaned and put her head on the table. "Did you have to pick that day?"

"Not my fault!" Lola said in defense. "It was my dates idea not mine."

"Who is your date?" Cor asked.

"He won't let me tell anyone and I don't know. Said something about setting up his cousin or someone."

"I'm not being set up Lola," Molly warned.

"I know, I know. I told him that, but he wouldn't hear it," Lola said with her hands in the air as if surrendering. "Besides, he said his cousin he couldn't do. Said he was busy that weekend."

"Good," Molly said with a small smile.

"Yeah, we would hate for your future boyfriend to feel the wrath of Molly Wealsey," Cesare teased and Molly poked her tongue out at him.

"I'm not that bad," she said trying to defend herself. Everyone but Cor snorted. "What?"

"Not that bad huh?" Lola asked.

"Last time you blew up on someone, you almost sent him to the Hospital Wing," Gracie said, causing Cor to chuckle.

"Hey!" Molly exclaimed. "1) he had it coming, 2) he's my cousin, 3) this said cousin was James and 4) he had it coming."

Everyone laughed as Molly was trying to get out of being teased. They knew what Molly gets into sometimes, and often wonders if their friend would go to far. But the only thing they can do is watch Molly and help her. Even if she didn't ask for it. Friends are they to help each other out, even when they don't know themselves if they need help or not.

Cor didn't know Molly as long as her friends, but he could tell when something was bothering her or not. It seemed that during the time he and Molly had spent together, they seemed to form some sort of bond with with each other. And the more he time he spent with her, the more he craved for her time. Whether it was with people they knew or just the two of them.

Maybe he was falling for the ginger and hadn't realized it yet. If he had, then someone was bound to get hurt.
