Chapter 11

Liar! A voice said within Celeste's head as she disappeared.

It did not take long for Freya and Trolan to appear before Mallard. "What did she want?"

"Help." Mallard cannot help, but smile. Although Celeste had not said anything, it was obvious that this key is very important and the fact that she would be busy putting it together ought to be kept a secret.

Trolan looked frustrated. He had been asking Freya who the blond beauty was, but she had not answered his question. She had told him to focus on his training instead. He could tell that the woman was a Commander, but still, he had not seen the woman during his short stay at Lukedonia.

"Will you tell me who she is already?"

Mallard only responsed with a deep scowl at the visibly frustrated Trolan before walking away from him and Freya. He sighed as he pocketed the scrolls he had been given. He looked back at Freya, it was clear she was waiting for him to explain some things.

"Like I said, Freya, she wanted me to help her with something. I will keep it to myself for now."

Freya glared at him. "How long have we known each other, Mallard?"

The man sighed. "Freya, I will explain once I have the answers. For now, I don't have any. She just gave me a puzzle that I needed to solve. Until I do that, I cannot explain what it is."

Freya nodded, getting the feels that he was being honest with her. "I was surprised that she could deflect your attack just like that." Changing the subject, Freya asked an interesting question. Even Trolan looked at her.

"I was not surprised." Still, he did notice that she only used her left hand. She also seemed not to be surprised by Trolan's speed, even though the teen was in his maximum level. Well, it was obvious that the boy was not going fast because of his fears.

"I guess that is to be expected." Freya resigned tiredly. "This was the first time I saw deflect Trolan's attacks. She's not even trying."

"There are some strong beings that exist. The Grand Master is not the only one who installs fears into his opponents by his power."

Freya nodded. That is true. "She is quite perceptive though."

"I cannot disagree with you on that."

"So, what were you be able to get from her?" The woman's face lit up. She could count on her friend to have found something on the woman.

"She did not give anything." Mallard gave a thoughtful look. No matter how hard he try, the woman was just unreadable. Especially her eyes. They were kind and hypnotic. "But from what I have heard and seen, I think I have found something. I am not sure of it yet."

"What is it?"

"When she was released, the technique she used was similar to that of the demons. We all know that she does not have her real blade. She has not displayed any Divine powers as of yet. When she left just now, instead of using the same gate as us, she used a portal that belongs to the demons."

"Are you saying that she cannot use any of her Divine powers?"

"It is only a theory. And it is still early to comment. We will see as the days go by."

~~Eight Thousand Five Hundred Years ago, (Flashback)

My lady.

"Yes, Ragnarok?"

How long are we going to be alone in this part of the world?

"I don't know," Celeste answered truthfully. "The mortals are pathetic. No matter how much I try to restrain my energy, they just can't stand it."

We are going to be bored soon enough. Perhaps we should go to the demon world. There should be some high class demon gods that would entertain us. Ragnarok felt his excitement building up. He's been craving for some action sometime now.

"You know that my teleportation technique is limited with half of me inside you. Plus, I need to have seen the place to be able to teleport." Before she met Alaric, she was always alone. Those warriors that spend much time near her did not end well. From then on, she was forced to live in a secluded area. Looking at the forlorn skies, she realized that her life became boring from then on.

Nothing had ever been normal ever since she woke up in a deserted wasteland. On that day, she only had vague memories. She felt like a part of her was missing. But that was before she created Ragnarok. She held powers that every beings craved. It was hers to command as she was blessed with it. She would use it to get what she wanted.

Can't you generate enough power to bypass that?

"No," Celeste responded, "but if I could find a demon and get inside its mind, I will be able to get a picture of the..." Celeste trailed off as her senses picked up some activities not far from her. She had thought she was alone at this part of Lukedonia.

What is it?

"It appears there is a group of knights close by." Those pathetic white fools. They abused their powers, using it to subject the weaker to their wills. It disgusted her to no end.

Ragnarok's voice disappeared from her head as the blond took the directions of the Knights she had sensed. She was using some low level speed to get to them as she was in no hurry. She planning to end the fight quickly after all.

Upon reaching her destination, she found several thousands of Knights making loud noises. They were not alone though, Celeste could also feel the presence of the other Knights that were scattered a few kilometers away. They were divided into groups. Each of them were seated in a large circle with hundreds of naked woman dancing in the middle. Their expressions were that of a fearful one.

Her presence was quickly noticed due to her monstrous powers.

All of the Knights then turned towards her with narrowed looks. She immediately recognized some of them. They had been the thrash that she allowed to live before. Today, she would allow those dirts to disappear. "I would imagine that this is what weak minded fools do. You disgust me."

"It's that kid again." One said while standing up. "Go away, kid!"

"Call the others. Let's see how she'll fare with thousands of us."

Celeste cut any resuming urguments. She really hated using her sword for weak fools. Perhaps she should create a secondary blade for this cause. It only took a moment when a large number of Knights suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

"Good thing you're here. It would be payback time for what you did last time." One of the newcomer shouted as they all grinned evilly.

Without any second thoughts, she released a large amount of power that froze all of them. She then disappeared in a burst of electrifying speed and appeared in the middle. The women were already down due to the effects of her powers. She only looked at them while all of the Knights remained frozen under the pressure of her powers. It only took a second as all of the women were sucked into a swirling vortex: completely disappearing from view.

"Now then, to take out the thrash," she said to herself as she turned to the still frozen Knights. Within the next few minutes, all of the Knights were already down: dead, long before they even hit the ground. It was quite disappointing when they did not fight back.

That was very disappointing, Ragnarok commented. He was looking forward to a challenge.

"Yes it was." Celeste held out her blade. "Perhaps I should free those women."

Where are you going to take them?

"Nowhere. They can find their homes on their own." Celeste shrugged. It would be troublesome if she kept those women. "Besides, I do no..." She trailed off as her sensed picked up something. A powerful man was coming towards her, fast. She had not felt anyone this strong ever since she awoke.

A few seconds later, someone appeared before her. She was still holding Ragnarok by her hand. She narrowed her eyes at the man with a blank look on her face. Inwardly, Celeste grinned.

Finally, she thought.
