Recap

‘Mate is being hurt in her most vulnerable state, she’s shifting like us this is the only time someone can hurt her physically!’ Surlue wined in my mind as I felt my vision darken, the thought of my mate being hurt raged me.

No more or less than an hour and thirty minutes later, I looked at my paws, the only difference in my wolf was the fact that I was at least 4’6 now, nice.

My tail rose as I felt my mate weakening my ears perked to a howl, she was unable to shift to weak now, and she longed for her mate.

Springing off my feet I ran across the ground running closer and closer to my mate. 

Chapter 12, Meeting

Trees blended together, my fur blew in the wind, I felt strength and speed course through my veins, but only one thought was on my wolf’s and my mind.

‘Must get to mate in time,’ Surlue whined as I pushed myself farther, I was faster than ever before.

I stopped as a large river crossed in front of me; I let out a large snarl in frustration that echoed through the woods. I flung my head back as I howled a strong, yet longing howl, I longed for y mate, but this howl was simply telling her I was coming…

I could tell by the strange vibe I got from this area of the woods I was in her territory, and that she ordered her pack members not to fight me, or this evil that was attacking her.

Staring back at the raging river I let out another snarl as I looked around it backing up I couldn’t swim through it, the currents were to strong, but it wasn’t too wide, if I could jump to the middle I could reach a boulder that was being splashed at.

I looked back at the river, hackles raised, legs flexed, I sprinted, running I jumped as soon as I felt a drop of water on my first paw, jumping my claws went out as I scratched the boulder to stay put on it,  climbed back onto it and snorted.

Again I jumped barely making it to the forest floor. As soon as my feet touched the ground my legs took off again the woods blended together, catching my mates scent, although it was faint I could tell she was about two thirds of a mile away.

After about a tiny bit I stopped and raised my tail as I looked around and my snout took to the ground as I ran, trying not to tumble over my head, I stood stock still as my eyes searched through the trees, landing on my mate, I was so focused I didn’t even notice the gasps of her pack members at seeing me, or any sound as a matter of fact.

Looking at her leg I snarled at the sight of a wolf bane coated silver dagger, if she was able to shift before it attacked her it wouldn’t have affected at all.

“Shoot, your mate wasn’t supposed to shift yet!” A man’s voice hissed as my head snapped to him, fear of me laced in his eyes.

I snarled it was a demon, not any demon though, Ki, the demon of death…

“So, we meet again, Max, Surlue, but I guess it is no longer Max, since that Moon Goddess of yours is renaming you as soon as this mutt-“ Ki spat the word with disgust but was cut off by my snarling, I heard a faint curse that stopped midway, why?

My mouth was warm as I knew my eyes must be full of anger, I could taste the demon’s disgusting blood in my mouth as I spat it out his throat mauled, Ki was finally dead.

‘To think we killed him in less than a minute when it took everyone else centuries and yet still never killed him, but we did, huh.’ Surlue scoffed as I snorted at his thought.

I turned around to see my mate in the ground whimpering trying to get the dagger out. Running over I bit the dagger pulling it out she whimpered as it left.

Licking the wound after spitting the dagger out of my mouth, I licked the wolf bane out only to have my ears perk to a scream and the snap of a bone.

I looked up to see my mate starting to shift again, I licked her hand as I tried to take some of her pain away, it was a lot harder for her to shift do to the wolf bane, my claws dug into the dirt as I felt her pain.

After about an hour or so her wolf was as beautiful as herself. I froze as I felt Surlue take over; I could tell her wolf did as well.

Everything went white as I knew I was being forced someone else, without my body my mate must be having this done to.

I looked around to see color fading in, looking around I froze staring at the birthplace of the Moon Wolves.

“Welcome, Moon Wolves, or better yet Immortal Moonlight, Immortal Moonlight Fellow.” I voice announced as I spun around to see a women with White hair, gentle face, and fragile but strong frame.

“Hello, Moon Goddess,” I heard a strong, elegant voice speak snapping my head over to the owner I felt my stiffened body relax as I saw the owner, my mate, her platinum blonde hair cutting off below or knees swayed in the slight breeze.

I didn’t speak as she looked at me with a smile I smile back as I looked at her.

“If you guys weren’t informed by your wolves, who are currently controlling your bodies, now that both of you have shifted into your true forms, I will give you your true names.” The Moon Goddess spoke catching both of our attentions as we looked at her again.

“You both will still have your original names, but you will have new names, your God, and Goddess names,” She spoke again as she walked up to my mate.

“Tenna, your Goddess name is Accalia, which means, she-wolf,”The Moon Goddess turned to me next, “and you, Max, your God name is Kiyiya, which means, howling wolf.”

My mate, Tenna or Accalia I guess, simply nodded then asked something that caught me off guard, “Why always bring us to our birth place when giving us important messages, or me at least, this is the second time in two weeks, is there a reason? And what is the legend of wolves that the last Great Witch told me about?”

The Moon goddess smiled then simply stated, “There is a reason, yes, and for the legend time will tell you Accalia, time will tell you, yes in time…. Kiyiya, any questions?”

I stared at the Moon Goddess with a blank face before shaking my head as if saying no, I was rewarded by a small, quite giggle from Tenna.

“What’s so funny?” I asked her face confused now.

“Oh, nothing, nothing at all…” She smiled obviously hiding something.
