The quest.
"No. Absolutely not," Strange said as he and Wanda paced around the Sanctum.
"Come on, Strange, please? You're always saying I don't get out enough," Wanda reasoned.
"We don't know if he is dangerous. We don't know if he made me erase him from everyone's minds because of villainous activity," Strange began.
"Oh, please, you said so yourself, he is quite likely in danger. He's been alone for who knows how long. It's not like we know from how long ago that memory was. Which is beside the point because past you admitted loving him, Strange. You admitted loving someone, to their face. Any version of you takes relations seriously and doesn't just trust someone enough to care for them... Wait, are you trying to protect me?"
Strange rolled his eyes.
"Of course, I am. Peter is hurt, for who knows what reason. No one remembers him, he's quite likely sad and scared and I don't want you getting hurt, emotionally if you see him injured," Strange explained, in a soft voice.
Wanda smiled.
"You know for someone so against showing emotion, you care a lot."
Strange rolled his eyes again.
"Just a child," the man muttered.
"I'll be okay, Strange. Plus, I can always call you if something does happen."
Strange smirked.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing, it's just nice to see you confident in yourself, Kiddo. Go and find the spiderling but promise you'll bring him here, I have quite a few questions for him."
Wanda nodded and went to pack her bags...
"Farewell, Kiddo," Strange said softly as he waved her off.
"Strange? Why is the Sanctum clean?" Wong, who had been on a mission as the Sorcerer Supreme for the last two months, asked as he came walking in from a portal.
"I had a guest over."
"Ooh, a girl," Wong teased and Strange's nose scrunched.
"Yes, she's a girl but it's not like that. It was Wanda Maximoff."
"Oh, did you help her with the trauma from Westview?"
"Trauma doesn't just disappear, Wong. But she is on the road to healing. For now, though, she's on a mission to look for a spider."
"Spider?"
"Indeed."
"Strange," Wong muttered.
"Yes?"
"No, I meant, that is odd."
"Every time!" Strange said, whilst rolling his eyes. "Every single time."
Wong laughed. "Well, want some tea?"
"Yeah, why not?" Strange said, shrugging.

Wanda walked around New York. There wasn't much for her to go off on...
The only thing she had was the fact that the fiasco of the Statue of Liberty, which she assumed was what they saw in Strange's memories, happened five months ago, and that the last time anyone saw Spider-man was three weeks afterward. He had, as Peter Parker, attended college for three days, before he stopped showing up to class and no one could get ahold of him since.
She sighed and found herself walking down the many streets...
"Wanda?" Clint Barton called as she nearly walked into him at a cafe.
"Clint?"
"Hey, kid," the man said with a worried look on his features.
Wanda stared at him, before smiling. "It's nice to see you again," she said in a cheerful tone.
Clint smiled. "Likewise... You know, Bruce and I have been worried about you. Neither of us could find you anywhere after we heard of..."
"Westview," Wanda completed, sensing the man's hesitance. "Yeah, I needed a break," she admitted.
Clint nodded. "Just know we're always here if you need us, m'kay? The team may be smaller now but, we still always look out for one another, Kid. Or well I guess you're not a kid anymore..."
Wanda laughed.
"Yeah, nearly twenty-two. Time sure flies," she said, amused. "But, 'Kid' has been your nickname for me since forever."
"True," the man replied, wearing a smile at the younger's claim. "And adult seems like a very weird nickname."
They both laughed.
"Extremely weird. Stick to Kid," Wanda said, with a horrified look on her face.
Wanda's eyes grew wide as she stared curiously at Clint.
"Spider-man."
"What of him?"
"What do you know of him?"
Clint chewed his lip as he thought. "Not much, actually. He just showed up one day."
Clint wore a distant look like he was trying to remember something.
"But, I think I've talked to him before, somewhere along the line."
Wanda nodded. "Thanks, Clint."
"No trouble, Kid. What brings up the web-slinger?"
"Strange thinks he is in danger so I've been looking for him, but he's been off the radar since a few months ago. Like he vanished off of the face of the universe."
"Well... if there is someone who can find anyone, it's Fury. I'll give him a call and send a message if he finds anything."
"Thanks."
"Same number as before?" Clint asked a bit skeptically.
"Yeah."
"Good. Then I'll see you around. And I'm serious, Wanda, if you need anything, the door to my home is always open."
"Thank you, Clint, really."
Clint rolled his eyes. "Quit thanking me, it's what a team does."
Wanda sent the man a mock salute before walking off around the streets of New York, once more.
After a few more hours she sighed and went to a random cafe. Honestly, she didn't even know the name of the place, but strolled in and sat at a table waiting to be served.
"What can I get you?" A girl, probably seven or eighteen if Wanda had to guess, asked.
"Just a coffee, please."
The girl nodded and scurried off...
"Uhm, miss?" A boy asked, earning Wanda's attention.
She hadn't even noticed he was sitting next to her but now that she did, her eyes landed on the MIT jersey he wore.
"Yes?"
"A-are you Wanda Maximoff, meaning an Avenger?"
Wanda sighed. "I am indeed."
"Oh, so cool!" The boy declared as he continued to ramble about how he always wanted to meet an Avenger, but suddenly he stopped like he forgot something important...
Regarding something, he knew he should be able to know but his thoughts were basically empty.
"Miss? Do you ever just forget something important?"
Wanda stared at the boy.
"Yeah..."
"Well, I'm getting that right now, like I should know something about the Avengers, it's weird."
Wanda stared at him.
"Peter Parker," she said calmly.
The boy pulled a face, his head hurt at hearing the name.
Where.
Had.
He.
Heard.
It.
Before?
