Chapter 9
ECLIPSE
Her paws were not her paws anymore.
No...they were talons.
They were back to how they were before the stupid NightWing animus had cursed her.
VISIONER
Where...am I?
A dark cave.
Where was Destroyer? Where was Starscatter? Where was...where was Brightness?
He realized that a dragonet was sleeping a few tail-lengths away from him, in a...was that a pool of water?
Brightness?
His heart jolted when he realized that the dragonet was a male, and he was blue.
And he was awake.
"Visioner?" The dragonet murmured sleepily. "Wha..."
Visioner jumped. How did this dragonet know his name?
Where am I?
Where's my family?
"Visioner?" The blue dragon looked more alert. "What's wrong?"
Rain. Sky. Fresh air.
Brightness.
Sharp, agonizing pain in his arm.
Jade...Jade Mountain.
Mink.
The sudden whirl of memories overtook his mind, coming with waves and waves of pain striking his head.
Moonwatcher.
Tamarin.
Anemone...poor Anemone...
"Visioner? Visioner!" Through the sweeping scenes, a faint echo of a dragon's voice and a concerned, familiar blue face peered into his eyes.
Then the memories vanished, and the background slid into a vast blue sky. He was on top of a mountain.
His talons were a strange, silvery white. His wings were wide and majestic. A gray pattern similar to an ocelot's markings were visible on the outside of his wings.
He faced an achingly familiar dark purple dragonet, who watched with a cold expression.
And besides her...besides her was a black NightWing with silver teardrops by his eyes, his gray eyes calculating, analyzing, amazed.
Visioner jerked up with a gasp.
"Thank the moons! You're awake!" He was knocked to the ground by Tide, who hugged him fiercely. "I thought you'd never wake up! You were all twitchy and talking weird nonsense...Are you alright?"
"I'm okay," Visioner breathed shakily. "I- I just...this happens from time to time. I'm okay."
I'm okay. I'm okay. I'm okay.
