Brightness keeps her back to him. This huge, splendorous sight in front of her was amazing.

And she'd made it all herself.

Hundreds of rows of stone dragons, bland and nothing. Towering over twice the height of a full-grown NightWing.

They wouldn't be as tasteless when she started to unfold her plan.

Everyone will know the feeling of betrayal and pain.

She pondered for a moment. Darkstalker was useless, since he had no animus magic. She didn't need the future anymore.

Enchant this dragon to drown himself in the ocean.

Darkstalker immediately moved, thrashing and protesting as his very wings picked him up and flew to the ocean.

Brightness spread her wings, and cast the spell that would finally let her release the dark, red feeling of revenge.

Enchant these stone soldiers to obey my every command.

It's happening, it's happening, it's happening. 

What should he do? How would he fix this?

Star paced the hallway, ignoring the weird stares. 

All these dragons didn't have a single clue on what would happen in a matter of seconds.

She'll destroy every single one of us. Or worse.

His mind was exploding with possibilities, every single one of them ending with death. 

If I have to die, I hope I don't get bludgeoned to death by a stone dragon's tail.

No...there were two ways out.

One, the easier, more painful way: Join forces with Darkstalker and Brightness. Kill everyone he knew.

Two, the harder, less possible way where he'd probably die a horrible, painful death: Run away and hope no one found him. 

Both were cowardly. But he had no choice.
