Me and my father got back to the castle with the occasional escape attempt but with dad always catching me. "Imagine if your mother found out about this," Dad said. "She's too busy with her revenge plots to even notice," I said. "You're right," Dad said. We entered the castle and I smelled the dingy,dark,cold air. "The best smell in the entire world," I said. Dad sighed. "What? It's the Badlands what do you expect," I said. Dad sighed. I chuckled smugly. Dad rolled his eyes. I went up to my room with a teleportation spell.

I looked out of my window at the Goodlands past the Enchanted Forest. I could see that far because my room was in the tallest tower in the castle. I then looked down on my subjects. The residents of the Badlands. I grinned smugly as I saw Siren son of the Evil Queen looking at himself in a compact mirror. "Siren just can't get enough of himself now can he," I said to no one in particular. "Hey Rapunzel," I heard the voice of my friend Aliyah say. I looked down and saw her yelling up to me. "Sorry I just cut my hair," I said making out little joke. Aliyah laughed which brought out her tentacles because she is the Sea Witch's daughter. I spread my wings and flew out of my window down to her. "So what were you doing earlier?" Aliyah asked. "Taking a ride in the Enchanted Forest away from my dad," I said. "For the 5th time this week?" Aliyah asked. "Yep," I said. Aliyah chuckled. "Your mom is gonna notice sooner or later and you'll be in trouble," Aliyah said. "Look I just wanted to see Sleeping Beauty's kid that way I know how to trick them into pricking their finger on my spinning wheel," I said. "If the story serves right they should just fall for the trick regardless of what you try," Aliyah said. "I know. But I wanna know the best way to trick them," I said. I kept referring Sleeping Beauty's child as a they/them because I didn't know their gender at that point in time.
