Kai (Kaia's evil vampire impersonation) 

"Your majesty, is there anything you'd desire?" I stare blankly at Riah, my faithful pitty of a servant. 

"Get my new pet cleaned up," Braelynn. Every time I mention her Kaia becomes sad and demands I let her go. I can't have her free, not now while I have control. Kaia can stay safe in the back of my mind. She is too precious to be hurt.

"Let me go! You evil monster!" 

"I'm sorry Kaia but that cage of yours is now your home, and you'll watch Braelynn suffer for hurting us," 

"No! Leave her alone!" I roll my eyes and lean back into the throne. 

"I thought you hated her, Kaia. You hated everything about her, or is the mate bond taking effect?" Probably. Kaia has turned Braelynn soft which is her downfall. She hid her affection behind a cold mask and it's now broken down. 

I spent my whole life locked away in the back of Kaia's mind, planning my revenge on everyone who hurt us. My eyes softened when Kaia started to cry. 

"I'm sorry Kaia but this is for our own good. Your safe from all the vampires who can hurt us. I'll protect you," 

"Protect me? By taking my body? I want my body back," 

"You'll understand one day Kaia," Riah walked in, dragging Braelynn into the throne room. She was indeed cleaner than before. She was now dressed in a black shirt and ripped jeans, her hair tied back. I felt Kaia sob when she realised Braelynn was standing in front of us, chains wrapped around her wrists. 

"Braelynn, you look much better now," She only glared at me, Riah pushing her to her knees. "You look a little hungry. Too bad you can't take it from us," I hiss, my fangs cutting my bottom lip. She didn't say anything, her eyes narrowing on me. I sigh. "Your no fun, whatever. Go clean the library or something," Riah pulled her out of the room, Braelynn hissing at me as she left. 

"She won't talk," Kaia states, anger in her tone. I roll my eyes. 

"I will make her talk one way or another,"

"What are we going to do, Brae?" Riah asks, taking off my chains as we entered the library. I growl lowly and rub my wrists. 

"She's stupid enough to leave me alone. I'm going to do some research. I'm going to get Kaia back," 

"I'll help," I shake my head and head towards the shelves. 

"If only we had a witch," 

"But we do," Riah butts in. I turn to her, my eyes widening. 

"Why didn't you say so?" She shrugged. 

"You never asked," I grow and she puts her hands up in surrender. "Sorry, geez calm your tits, women," 

"Don't test me Riah. I've just lost my mate to some crazy freaking vampire that's somehow taken over my mates body," 

"Sorry. Look, this witch lives in the forest. All I need to do is contact her and she'll come." 

"Alright," I sigh, rubbing my temple. "Contact her, the sooner we get Kaia back, the sooner I can tell her about the mate bond," Riah smiles softly and hugs me. 

"We'll get her back. I promise. We have to if you're supposed to marry her," I chuckle and stare down at the ink swirling around my ring finger and up around my wrist. The mate bond, the markings don't appear until one of the partners start to feel something towards the other. I caress the swirls. Kaia will have something similar soon. I hope. 

"Okay," I nodded and put my hands on Riah's shoulders. "Lets get back my mate!"
