Hello Alola!

After around twelve hours of flying, my mom and I land in Alola, the heat an instant sensation. Sending out my Braixen, we took a good look at Hau'oli City.

"This place doesn't even compare to Lumios!"

Braixen nodded.
Suddenly, a big, burly man walked up to me.

I thought I managed to avoid the paparazzi!

"You must be Serena, the Kalos Queen."

I nodded, brushing a bang out of my face, ready for the inevitable photos. "Yes, that's me."
Go on, take your photos.

The man laughed. "You must be thinking I'm the paparazzi! Not here! The people of Alola aren't really into the whole flocking business."

My eyes sparkled. "Really?!"

The man nodded. "Really. If people do give you a hassle, come to me. I'll take care of the problem."

I tilted my head. "How come?"

The man grinned at me. "I am the Kahuna of this Island! Kahuna Hala, chosen by Tapu Koko!" He offered a hand.

I shook it. "Tapu? Kahuna? I've got a lot to learn..."

"Try enrolling in the Pokémon School. Their classes cover a variety of subjects. Also, if you ask the professor, he might let you teach the class for a day!"

Hearing that, I hugged Braixen and then smiled at Kahuna Hala. "That is wonderful! I'd love to teach the people of Alola about contests!"

Hala chuckled, as did my mom, then he walked off. My mom looked at me, waved for me to follow, and I let go of Braixen. Rushing ahead of Mom, I leaned on the rail of a viewing platform, awed by the size of the ocean. Mom put her hand on my shoulder and I looked into her eyes.

"Yeah, Mom?"

"Wanna see it in a better view? We just so happen to have access to an apartment..."
She had an evil grin on.

I stood straight up, happy to have a place to change. I've been in this outfit for over 14 hours! "Sure thing! I've GOT to change outta this and into something more tropical!"

We rushed to the hotel, checked in, took the elevator to the top floor, and then walked over to our room. Slipping the key card into the reader, the light flashed green and the door unlocked. My mom slowly pushed the door open, revealing the giant room inside.

Slipping into the bathroom, I changed out of my usual Kalos attire and into my pajamas. Walking over to the balcony, I gasped at the view. You could see the entire Island, almost!

"Amazing, huh? Look at that sparkling ocean!"

I smiled. "Yeah. It sure is pretty."

Somehow, my thoughts drifted to Ash. Man, I love that raven-haired klutz.

Hearing Braixen yawn, I sent out all of my Pokémon out and let them sprawl out across the floor. Laying down in my own bed, I closed my eyes, only for them to shoot open.

"Le!"

A Lucario? But why did it call out "le?"

Standing up in my pajamas, I looked out the window to see a Pokémon I've never seen. Waking up Braixen, we headed out of the hotel with my purse on my shoulder. Locating the strange Pokémon, we watched as it bolted off in a line of pink.

"After that Pokémon, Braixen!"

Rushing through the sleeping city, we ended back up at the ocean overlook. Before us, the mystery Pokémon floated.

"Lele!!!"

It had a strange bracelet in one claw. Holding it out to me, the bracelet floated over.

"Woah."

Grabbing it, a brilliant light glew from the red crystal in the center of the ring. Slipping it on, I felt a strange power hum inside of my body. Looking up, I saw the strange Pokémon in a certain stance. Miming it, we followed its various poses, memorizing them for our next performance/battle.

After that was done, the Pokémon flew off in a streak of pink light, leaving me with the bracelet, the crystal, and a strange sensation. I looked at Braixen and she looked at me.

"That was so weird, right?"

She nodded. "Brai."

I chuckled, then ruffled her fur. "Come on, let's head back to the room. Who knows? Maybe tomorrow, we can visit the Pokémon School with Mom!"

"Brai brai!"

Slipping back into the room quietly, Braixen and I went back to bed. Laying in my bed, I gazed curiously at my new bracelet.

"Not many people are wearing something like this, and most have crystals similar to this red one clipped in. I wonder why that Pokémon gave me this... Oh well! Right now: time to sleep. Good night, Ash."

Closing my eyes, I drifted into a happy sleep. Tonight, my dreams were of me performing in a contest with that Pokémon and Ash and his Pikachu.
