Cole's P.O.V.:

I woke up in some kind of dungeon and my arm felt like it was broken. Laying outside the cave was Jay and he looked hurt. I wanted to help him but I couldn't. The cage was made of vengestone.

It all happened so fast I was hoping it was a bad dream, but considering the almost unbearable pain in my arm I knew it had to be real. I just had to keep hoping that Kai survived the explosion too, even though I knew that was a long shot.

I had no idea where we were. Somewhere underground maybe? Oh well, that doesn't matter now. I've gotta help Jay.

"Jay? Jay?" I yelled for him.

Jay didn't even budge. I was really worried because he's never been much of a heavy sleeper, then again I don't feel like I know Jay anymore.

About an hour or so later, some kind of orange genie with four arms entered the room. He looked right at me.

"Ahh, I see you got that ghost thing worked out." He examined me.

"Wait, how did you know I used to be a ghost?" I wondered.

"Oh right, you don't remember." He laughed. "Well, that's probably best."

"Look, I don't know who you are or what you did to Jay, but you're not going to get away with it." I scowled at him.

"I simply showed Jay the truth."

"What do you mean the truth?"

"Why doesn't he tell you himself?"

He floated over to Jay and forced him to get up. I was glad he was alive, but he seemed injured and exhausted. I wanted to help him, but I didn't want things to get any worse.

"What now Nadakhan?" Jay wearily looked up at him. He seemed dizzy and irritated like he couldn't focus and didn't want to.

The genie pointed right me. "Kill him."

"Ha! If you think Jay's gonna kill me, think again. He's my best friend." I laughed.

"I will later, I have other matters to attend to." Jay told him.

He forced himself to get up and limp towards the door. I was really worried about him because this wasn't like Jay at all.

"Jay, stop. You're hurt." I yelled, trying to get his attention.

He ignored me and kept walking to the door. He didn't even look my way. It's like he wasn't the same Jay anymore.

He kept going until he exited the room. I saw the genie laughing.

"You'll never get away with this." I looked at him.

"Don't you see, I already have." He laughed. "Now I'm off to the caves of despair to check on your little green friend and that girl he likes."

The genie laughed and teleported away. I hoped my friends were ok, all of them.

Kai's P.O.V.:

"Jay!" I screamed as I woke up in panic.

I looked around and I was in the hospital. Skylor and my mother were already there, looking over me. It had been so long since I saw my mother and she looked so relieved to see me awake.

"Kai!" She smiled. "Oh thank the First Spinjitsu Master you're ok."

"Mom? Skylor?" I sat up and held my head. Everything hurt.

"Take it easy firebug. You've been through a lot." My mom helped me lay back down.

"Did Nya find Cole?" I asked.

"Not yet, but she thinks she has a lead." Skylor told me.

"Well I gotta help her." I sat up again.

"If you want to help your sister, then you need to stay here and rest so she can focus." Mom said.

"Fine." I groaned and laid back down.

I took a second to look at myself. There were bandages all over me where the explosion had burned my skin. My leg was in a cast and felt like it was broken. So was my wrist. It felt broken too. I considered myself lucky that Nya found me in time.

"I'm glad you're ok." Skylor kissed me on the cheek and I couldn't help but blush.

"Kai, you never told me how nice your girlfriend was." Mom smiled at her. I could hear Skylor laughing too.

"Wait, is Dad coming?" I looked at my mom, trying to change the subject.

"He's on his way now. He'll be here as soon as he can." Mom said, then she got a text on her phone. "Oh, he's here now. I'll go help him find the room. Will you be ok?"

"I'll be fine Mom, go." I smiled at her.

"I'll stay with him." Skylor said.

"Thank you." She smiled.

My mother kissed me on the forehead and left the room. As soon as she shut the door I set up and tried to get out of bed again but Skylor stopped me.

"What do you think you're doing?" She yelled.

"Skylor, you gotta cover for me. I have to help Nya. I don't know what got into him but Jay was after Nya and I have to warn her."

"Kai you have a broken leg and wrist, you have to stay here."

"But Nya's in danger." I frowned. "I have to help her."

"Here." Skylor took my hand and used her power to absorb my fire.

"Why did you do that?" I wondered.

"Because now a part of you will be with me when I go to help your sister." She smiled.

"I know you don't need to hear this, but be careful out there ok?"

"Don't worry about me, I can handle myself." She winked. "The question is will you be ok?"

"Yeah, I'm surrounded by doctors and nurses plus I've got my parents. Nya needs you right now."

"I'll be back as soon as I make sure she's safe."

"I know you'll be great."

She leaned over and gave me a kiss before leaving the room. I just hoped Nya was ok and that Skylor wouldn't get herself into too much trouble.

Nya's P.O.V.:

I followed the trail of blood to a place underground. I was working on the breaking the locks when I heard someone coming. I ducked behind some rocks and peaked to see who it was, as if I didn't already know.

I looked to see Jay, limping across the room and Nadakhan following close behind him. Jay looked really hurt and he was holding his side. I wanted to help him but I couldn't blow my cover.

"Where are you going? Get back here and finish him!" Nadakhan was screaming.

"I have to make sure the others are taken care of first. If I kill him now, that will put a target on my back and the others will find us." Jay told him.

"Fine." Nadakhan rolled his eyes and teleported out of the room.

I watched as Jay kept limping until he almost got to the door, but he got so tired and weak that he passed out before he could get there. I knew it wasn't safe but I didn't have a choice, I had to help him.

I remembered the first aid kit that I took from Skylor's place and I gently tied the bandages around Jay's ankles to stop the bleeding. He flinched a little but he didn't open his eyes. I noticed his rib was hurt too so I wrapped his stomach up as well.

"Oh Jay, I'm sorry. I hope you'll come to your senses soon. And even if you don't love me anymore, it doesn't change how I feel about you."

I kissed him on the forehead and got out of there before he woke up. I ran to the next room and saw Cole in a cage made of vengestone. He was happy as he spotted me and sprung up from the floor he had been sitting on.

"Nya? Boy am I happy to see you." Cole whispered.

"Cole, are you alright? Where are the others?" I asked him.

"I have no idea, but you've gotta get out of here."

"But don't you want out of there?" I looked at the lock on the cage.

"Jay thinks you're dead. If you save they'll know you're alive and that will put a target on your back. It's best for me to stay here." He frowned.

"Oh, good idea." I agreed. "Are you alright?"

"I think Jay broke my arm, but I'll be fine. How is Kai?"

"Skylor and my mom got him to the hospital but that's all I know. Skylor was supposed to let me know but the signal doesn't work down here." I looked at my phone. "Any word on where the others are?"

"I heard that genie say that Lloyd and Kira were somewhere in the caves of despair. I haven't heard anything about where he's holding Zane and Pixal yet."

"Ok, thanks Cole. Stay safe."

"I'll try." He sighed and held his arm again.

"Here Cole, take this."

I took off the backpack that Skylor gave me and gave him some granola bars I had been saving and some bandages for his arm.

"Thanks Nya. Now you better get out of here before that genie spots you." Cole said.

I nodded. "Good luck."

I was headed outside the door until I heard someone coming from the other room. I ducked behind some crates and tried to stay as quiet as I could. I could see them talking to each other.

"Oh Jay... What are you doing here?" I heard Cole say.

"Don't talk to me." He rolled his eyes. "I'm busy."

"Jay you're hurt."

"I said shut up!" He yelled at Cole. "Now where is she?"

Cole didn't say anything.

"Answer me!" Jay yelled.

"But I thought you told me to shut up." Cole smirked.

"Don't get smart with me, I know she's in here."

"I didn't see anyone."

"I know she's here, I heard her talk to me. She said that she wouldn't change she feels."

"She loves you Jay." Cole frowned.

"How dare you lie to me!" He shouted. "I went my whole life believing that she was in love with me to find out that you two had a thing on the side. She never loved me at all. She only acted like she did because she felt bad for me!"

"What? Jay I never..."

"Save it! I'll find her myself."

Jay started to look around the room for me. After a few minutes, he was about to find me and then Cole screamed.

"Nya! Over there!" He pointed in the opposite direction of where I was.

"I knew it!"

Jay turned around and headed that way. I came out relieved that Cole had my back.

"Thanks Cole. You're a true friend." I smiled.

"Let's just hope Jay will see that too." He frowned. "Good luck Nya."

"Thanks, I'll need it."

I went the opposite way that Jay went and started to head for the exit. When I finally got out of there I bumped into Skylor. She looked tired.

"Skylor!" I exclaimed. "Boy am I happy to see you."

"I could say the same to you." She said catching her breath. "Did you find anyone?"

"I ran into Cole and he found out where Lloyd and Kira are. He's gonna try to talk some sense into Jay."

"You go save them, I've been picking up some weird signals from my dad's old island." Skylor told me. "The place has been abandoned for years so that might be where he's hidden Zane and Pixal."

"Let's hope they're fairing better than us." I frowned. "How is Kai? Is he...?"

"Relax, he's gonna be fine. Your parents are with him now."

"Good." I said relieved. "Now let's get our friends back!"
