Chapter 12- Another Day in Court
Just a few quick things before the story starts again...
I'm sooo sooo sorry for the lack of updates lately. Stuff has been going on my life sooo yeah DIYing the house with my family sucks!
And there is going to be a POV change for this chapter because it would be pretty boring anyways... People have been asking me if they can do art for it. Sure! Why not? I don't judge so you can draw whatever.
Anyways, let's get back to da story...
I looked at the bandage on my shoulder, wincing, just looking what it might have looked like on my dead body. I was going to go with Quinn,Jason, and Emma to the court where Henry was today. My IPhone buzzed. Henry had messaged me. 'Bud, are u comin?' He always called me bud in texts. Most people would be struck either annoyed or friendly, most likely annoyed though. My parents were on a honeymoon trip, so they were out of the equation. I texted him back ' Soon, ye of little faith'. I loved using the ' ye of little faith' thing. Look it up.
" Hey, you ready for a courtroom experience deluxe?" Quinn burst through my door with a smirk on his face. 'I have no privacy, what's up with that?' I thought.
" Not so much the deluxe part, but saving Henry, yeah" I said. " One more question Quinn, how come I have no privacy?" I asked trying to sound impatient, though I'm afraid it didn't come out that way.
" The real question is, did you expect any?" Quinn said obviously trying to piss me off.
" Yes, don't forget Quinn, who's the alpha here" I continued " I rule over you and I'm basically the king of the Slayer pack, so I expect some privacy".
" Yes, Alpha" Quinn backed down from his accusations. He was fun to be around and messed around, but took his duties seriously.
" Do Emma and Jason know what we are doing today?" I asked.
" Yes they do" he said.
" Ok, good, I just need to get my bandage changed and get the evidence in a backpack" I said. I walked out my cabin to the " doctor's office". 1 minute and 43 seconds later, I reached the door.
" Hi" I said enthusiasticly.
" Oh, hello Jordan" Docter Brown said. I learned what her name was last week.
" I have a few questions including a bandage" I said.
" Ok, ask away" she said in her always happy mood.
" This is a weird question, but, is it possible to just be born a shifter like me?" I asked what Quinn had told me to ask earlier.
" It is very very rare and for you to be an Alpha is, well the odds of that happening are 1/2,347,832,128" she continued " In other words, astronomacal chances of that happening".
" Do you think I was one of them?" I asked, curious.
" That's only born with a relative as a shifter" she said doubtful.
" Oh, and without one... Is as close to impossible as you can get" she said with a different tone.
" You mean like a .000000000000000000000000001 percent chance of that happening?" I said sounding out the 0's.
" Stick an amount of zeroes to 2 from infinity and put a zero and a 1, that's the chance of it happening" she continued " I do see a better chance in you though, Jax would have come out earlier if that was the case" She said studying me.
" Go into wolf form for just a second, rumor I need to test" she said sweetly as if nothing had occurred. I shifted and sat on my butt. I had the hunter vision again, which I figured out gives me a headache when I became human. She walked around me and looked at my eyes.
" Are you having the hunter vision right now, Jordan?" she asked. I knew Jax's eyes got cloudy when I had hunter vision.
" Yes" I whined.
" Dangit, I can't test it then" she said as if she was actually going to some exciting experiment on me. I shifted back and asked for my bandage and recieved it. Sure enough, I had a headache. With a new bandage on my shoulder, I packed a backpack with the evidence from David's house/ mansion.
Emma, Jason, and Quinn came in wolf form and I shifted into Jax.
" Emma", she turned her head, " what's your wolf name for later reference?"
" Petra" she barked back. We started the insanely long run to the courthouse.
Henry's POV
I sat on an uncomfortable bench waiting outside the courthouse for Jordan to come, he only had an hour and half or something left to help. I looked down at my phone's silver case, my reflection stared back at me and said, " you are stupid". Thanks brain, thanks a lot.
