It was a nice day in Capital City for Shoeshine who was a beagle with brown and white fur had dark brown eyes, a big black nose, and a black collar around his neck that his owners and friend Jack Unger and Jack's father Dan Unger.

Jack's father, he was once a police officer, but quit the force after his wife died and worked as a security guard at the scientific institute where Simon Bar Sinister hid out during the after hours. Using Underdog's stolen collar, Simon and Cad were able to determine where he lived and captured him in order to lure Jack and Underdog to them. After Simon Bar Sinister fed an antidote pill to Underdog and left to forcefully negotiate with the Mayor, Dan learned that Shoeshine was Underdog. After Underdog freed the Mayor, Dan was reinstated and promoted by the Mayor and helped Underdog arrest Simon while Underdog buried a bomb Cad placed on the roof. Dan was later seen placing Simon into solitary confinement where Cad was also held.

Dan, Jack and Shoeshine were more closer than ever as Shoeshine would help Dan clean his shoes before going off to help with the city Dan would only shook his head with a smile.

"Shoeshine!" Dan called out. Shoeshine smiled as he rushed in Dan's room and cleaned off the gunk off of his friend's father's shoe as he was done he suddenly heard screaming as his ear was up.

"What?" Dan asked noticing it. "Trouble." Shoeshine frowned then he started barking the single for Jack for his suit Jack came rushing in with a phone in his hand he was talking to his friend Molly he nodded his head he quickly went to get the suit and came back he gave it to Shoeshine.

Shoeshine went off with super speed making papers went flying everywhere.

"I'm gonna get used to that." Dan mumbled making Jack chuckled as he went back to talking to Molly.

"Molly?"

Dan smiled as he looked outside to see Jack was playing with Shoeshine as he threw a frisbee to a different direction with Shoeshine flying towards it without people looking Dan dropped his jaw amazed at this he shook his head and continued washing the dishes.

"Hello?"

Dan screamed a bit startled as his heart beat like a drum he covered his mouth went to see his son and dog didn't hear them surprise since Shoeshine has super hearing.

"Hello is Mr. Ugner there?!"

"Uh, y-yes." Dan said nervously "great I'm going crazy."

"No your not going crazy, but Mr. Ugner my name is King Kai I'm from the Other World-."

"Other World?"

"It's where people died and if they don't want to be wish back they stay here-."

"Wish back?"

He heard a annoyance sighed at the other side.

"Just go get your son and dog so I can explain the whole story of a Super Saiyan name Son Goku."

Dan raised a eye brow but just shrugged as he went to get his son and dog "Jack, Shoeshine come on!" He called

"What is it?" Jack asked his father. "Uh there's a man named King Kai and he wants to tell a story about a man name Son Goku." Dan shrugged.

Shoeshine if he had a eyebrow he would've of raised it and titled his head at his owner's father while Jack crossed his arms.

"Dad."

"No really listen uh King Kai?"

"Yes?"

Shoeshine and Jack's jaws dropped in shock as they looked around but nobody was in the house though.

"Okay what the heck is going on?!" Jack said as his eyes darted back and forth trying to fine the voice.

"Jackson Unger an I correct?" King Kai asked Jack shocking him as Shoeshine sat down slowly stunned that this voice knows his best friend's name.

"Y-yeah but my friends call me Jack." Jack said.

"Right and your dog Shoeshine?"

Shoeshine sat there not saying anything as he felt his fur shivered. Jack nodded his head as his father stood there in shock as he slowly sat at the edge of the couch.

"And of course aka Underdog?"

"WHAT?!" Jack yelled out startling Shoeshine who went into his thoughts thinking about this man who knows his family and himself.

"What?! What happen does Polly needs help?!" Shoeshine asked startled but then he gasped his secret was out as he shut his mouth as he whimpered putting his head on the ground.

"Don't worry Shoeshine I've knew your secret since you've become Underdog." King Kai told the dog.

"How?" Shoeshine asked lifting his head looking up at the ceiling.

"Well I am a Kai after all I do look after the Earth well my Earth anyway but also yours." King Kai shrugged.

"Hey King Kai! Who are you talking too?!" A new voice asked startling Shoeshine as his voice was loud thanks to his super hearing as he yelped.

"Shoeshine?" Jack asked his friend in concern. "There's a man?" Shoeshine titled his head confused.

"Of course it's King Kai." Dan said confused at his dog. "No no a different dog and he and King Kai are fighting cuz he was interrupted-." He yelped as they were louder he growled surprising Jack and Dan "stop arguing!"

Shoeshine sighed in relieved as he lay down on his stomach.

"Well?" Dan asked "did they stopped?"

"Yes for now but I think we need a break." Shoeshine said "nope we need a break now.

Dan and Jack looked at each other confused.

Later that day Molly called to see if she and Sweet apply can hang out with Jack at his house with him and Shoeshine.

As Molly came over with Sweet Polly Shoeshine beamed as he saw how beautiful she was a canine dog with light brown and white fur with light brown long ears, brown eyes, as she ran towards him she licked his cheek making him blushed a little as Jack and Molly saw this and laughed a little.

"Come on let's leave these lovebirds alone." Jack teased Shoeshine glared playfully at his best friend as Sweet Polly giggled behind her paw.

"I'm sorry Shoeshine I couldn't help myself."

"That's fine." Shoeshine shrugged smiling softly at his friend as the two started to walk off talking softly to each other.

Later that night Shoeshine was sleeping on the bed in Jack's bed next to him who was slight snoring as Shoeshine's foot twitches as he lay on his side.

"Shoeshine!" A voice called him as he was still asleep as he rolled over snuggling into Jack's stomach making the boy smiled in his sleep "Shoeshine!"

Shoeshine still didn't wake up the voice sighed annoyance.

"He didn't wake up?" Another voice asked Shoeshine heard but ignored it as he slept through it. "No this dog is a heavy sleeper!" The voice laughed.

"Let me try something."

"King Kai wait it's the middle of the night and he's exhausted from helping all the people from his City-!" The first voice was cut off as the second voice screamed in Shoeshine's head.

"SHOESHINE!"

"AHH!" Shoeshine screamed in fright as he fell off the bed with a yelped as he groaned Jack heard his friend scream he quickly bolted up and looked down to see his friend groaning in pain.

"What happen?" Jack yawned. "I think it's that man from yesterday is calling me again." Shoeshine groaned as he shook himself awake.

"Good your awake!"

Both Shoeshine and Jack yelped as they looked around still not used to the man's voice but still angry that they were awake in the middle of the night Jack looked at the clock to see it was 4am.

Jack and Shoeshine both groaned.

A few minutes later Jack went to wake his father up who was really annoyed that he was waken up in 4an in the morning since he had to go to work later on that morning.

"I'm sorry but it's that man again." Jack told his father. "You mean that same man that gave me a heart attack when his voice came out of nowhere?" Dan asked his son and dog who both looked at him weirdly.

Dan waved them off "want do you want now?" Dan grumbled. "Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed." King Kai said as he watched Goku paced back and forth worried.

"It's 4am!" Shoeshine growled annoyed. King Kai's eyes winded in surprised as he looked at Goku.

"I told you we should've waited and I've told you we should've waited till we've should've waited till in the morning King Kai our times are different from here to there's remember?" Goku remind his friend.

King Kai chuckled sheepishly as he heard Shoeshine growled lowly "where are you so I can-."

"Shoeshine!" He heard Jack yelped. "What he woke us up in the middle of the night!"

"You can't fine us because uh we're dead."

Silent filed in the air.

"Hello?"

"WHAT?!"

Goku and King Kai both flinched as they heard all three screamed. "Are you saying we're talking too two talking dead guys right now?" Jack asked stunned.

"That's right!" Goku beamed as he finally sat down and listened with his legs crossed.

"Proof it."

"Uh." Goku scratch his head confused but he snapped his fingers grinning King Kai knew that face.

"Goku don't you dare its against the rules-!" King Kai only sighed rolling his eyes behind his sunglasses as Goku was gone.

Meanwhile as Jack, Shoeshine and Dan were listing to King Kai sighed in annoyance making them all confused when he told them that it was against the rules but all yelped as Shoeshine jumped in Jack's arms with Jack catching him as a man wearing a orange fighting gi with a under blue shirt, blue wrest bands, black running boots, black wild spiky hair, dark brown soft warm eyes Shoeshine noticed, and soft light skin.

"Hi I'm Goku!" The man known as Goku said grinning as he went closer looking at Shoeshine who was still in Jack's arms feeling uncomfortable with the strange man space "wow so your really a dog with powers huh?"

"Uh y-yeah." Shoeshine nodded his head as Goku's eyes winded amazement.

"And talk I knew some animals in my world can talk too a cat and a pig awesome!" He grinned making Jack and Dan looked at each other confused then at Goku.

"Uh Mr. Goku sir how can you proof that your um you know dead?" Dan asked. "Huh, uh." Goku rubbed his chin then he remembered that he had a halo over his head he grinned "ah you see this?"

"Yeah." Jack nodded his head. "It's a halo everyone has it when their head if someone is dead in my world they get to keep their body but if someone is bad like evil or something like that they don't get to keep their body and go to hell or like that." Goku shrugged his shoulders.

"You know a lot of that stuff like you've been dead for a long time?"

"Jack!" Dan scowled his son.

Jack shrugged his shoulders sheepishly making Goku laughed.

"I've been dead for over almost four years now!"

(Too let you guys know this is four years after the Cell Games)

The three stared at him stunned at what he just said as he squatted down with a serious face "now, I have to tell you something serious that happen to my son." Goku told them frowning as Shoeshine jumped out of Jack's arms and walked towards Goku putting his paws on his knees tilting his head in curiosity.

"What happen to your son?"

"He was somehow kidnaped in the middle of the night by this man named Simon because he's a super Saiyan or at least half Saiyan."

"A what?"

Goku sighed "did King Kai told you a story about a baby from space crashed landed on Earth?"

"Uh something about like the baby crashed landed and a elderly man adopted him as a grandson and he was a wild child he was supposed to destroyed Earth but one day he and this elderly man.." Shoeshine sat down in front of Goku who listen carefully proudly that someone listen of his origin "and his grandson took a walk but the grandson was too wild so he slipped out of his pack and fell off the hill and hit his head he was out for days once he woke up, he was a good child like he forget he was a wild child." Shoeshine finished.

Goku was beaming while Dan and Jack was in shock they never remembered the story the. King Kai told them about this kid's origin.

"Yes you are right and that kid was me I'm not from Earth or my Earth if you put it that way I'm from a planet named Planet Vegeta but a alien name Frieza destroyed it but before that I was sent off to destroyed my Earth but you can tell that never happen." Goku crossed his arms sitting crossed his legs sitting down.

Shoeshine suddenly sat in Goku's lap curling in a ball surprising Jack, Dan and Goku the most as Shoeshine closed his eyes.

"I finally have someone that have his shoulders weight for the world." He mumbled before falling asleep in Goku's lap.

Goku looked up at Jack and Dan in surprised he was more surprise when Dan and Jack smiled at him softly.

"We can explain Shoeshine's origins." Dan told him as they sat in front of him alas Goku listen to them about Shoeshine's story while softly petting the dog's head making him moved his head a little in his sleep smiling a little in his sleep making Goku smiled.
