1. My acting? It's Oscar worthy

RAINA'S POV :

Okay. I am almost done. Just one stroke of red lipstick under each eye and my nose.

Now all I have to do is blend it.

Yup. All done.

I finally look like a sick person.

Okay Raina. Now it's time to show your perfect Oscar-winning acting.

Satisfied with my look, I stepped out of the ladies washroom. Coughing.

What? A sick person has to cough in order to show that they are sick.

I walked back to my office's desk. Coughing.

"Raina, are you alright?" asked one of my colleagues.

One person down.

"No. Just a little sick." I replied.

"Oh, okay. But I think you should take sick leave for half a day. I mean, your nose looks a little red."

I grinned like a maniac inwardly.

"Oh, is that so..." I said while pretending super innocent. "Anyways, see ya."

I went inside my office and sat down on my chair. I am not sure if it's an office. It's probably the size of a storage room. Yeah. Storage room. Wanna know why? Because our boss is a cocky-miser. He is-

My so called office's door opened revealing Liz.

"I highly doubt you will be able to convince boss about your sickness . If he sees you in this position."

Yeah. My um...current position is quite unprofessional. I am sitting on my chair with my legs crossed with my hands stuffing Doritos in my mouth.

My cover is not blown. Liz is well aware about my sick leave plan, she is my flatmate after all.

"C'mon, Lizzy. You are talking to an award-winning actor."

"In what? Clumsiness? 'Cause if that's the case, I totally agree with you."

I rolled my eyes.

"Don't roll your eyes at me. You are the type of person who can trip on air."

"C'mon Lizzy. You are mean. Is that the way to describe your best friend?"

"Oops. Sorry. I have a better way. You are a twenty-two year old, clumsy girl who hates makeup and gets easily impressed. And you're a gourmand."

"Excuse me? Gourmand? Isn't that a too small word to describe my love for food?"

"Yeah,yeah...whatever."

"By the way, why are you here? Anything special?"

"Yeah. I took a half day." she explained.

"Oh oka- WHAT?!! THAT BASTARD GAVE YOU A HALF DAY?!"

"C'mon, Raina. You know he is not a bastard! He is...you know...strict."

"Whatever... I think he has personal grudges against me."

"Of course he does. Every time he asks you to bring his coffee, it's either found on the floor or on his white shirt. Kudos to your clumsiness. "

"It's not true! By the way, the wooden floor of his office is slippery."

"Sure... anyway, you know he is lucky that you are just a normal employee, not his personal assistant."

I choked on my Doritos.

"If that happened, I would be the most unluckiest person in this universe."

"Yeah, Ms. Drama Queen."

"Do you mean The Great Oscar Winner?"

Liz rolled her eyes. "Good luck with your oh-so-true sickness. I hope he gets convinced."

"Of course he will be."

"But don't you think it will be difficult to convince him to give you a two weeks holiday just because you are sick?! "

"I get your point but...you know I really wanna go to France, and I finally have all the requirements needed for my trip. It's like a dream come true."

"I know, Raina...but what exactly will you say?"

"Well, I will explain to him that it will take at least three days to get mentally prepared that I am sick. Then I will rest for like a week and then it will take me around two to four days to convince my mind that I have to go to work....so yeah."

She shook her head in amusement. "Anyways see ya!"

"Bye!"

DRAVEN'S POV :

This contract does-

I heard a knock on the door.

"Come in!"

I saw a familiar figure enter. Raina.

But the moment she entered. she tripped.

This girl is such a klutz.

"Sorry to disturb you, Mr. Eastwood. But I wanna talk to you about something." Raina said while coughing a bit.

" Take a seat, Ms. Parker. I don't have all day." I ordered while pointing at the seat in front of me.

She walked towards the chair opposite to me while mumbling something angrily.I have a good idea what it was.

She is one of the rare employees of my company who don't car-

My thought got cut off by a familiar groaning sound. I looked up and found Raina holding her leg while saying 'Ouch!'

I mentally face palmed myself. Is this girl for real?

"Ms. Parker, are you done?" I asked coldy.

"Yes sir," she said. "So, Sir these are the *cough* recent files *cough* from the financial department *cough*. It contains information about our recent contract with the *cough* Woods company."

I nodded and took a look at the documents. She is accurate and efficient.

Even though I was disturbed by her continuous coughing. I glanced at her and saw her nose slightly red.

"Ms. Parker. By any chance are you unwell? "

************

RAINA'S POV :

"Ms. Parker. By any chance are you unwell? "

OMG! THIS BASTARD!!

I offered him a fake tight smile. "So generous of you to notice it, Sir."

He looked up. His eyes met mine. He stared at me intensely and I stared back with the same intensity.

After around thirty seconds, I broke eye contact.

"Sir, do you want to say something?"

"Yes." he replied.

"And that is...?"

"Next time you are coughing, please wear a mask. I don't want germs in my office."

My mouth dropped open. The nerve of this guy!

Calm down, Raina. Ignore this arrogant person. Okay, let's try again.

I cleared my throat.

"Mr. Eastwood?"

"Yes?"

"Can I ask you something?"

"Aren't you already?"

My fists clenched in anger but then I took a deep breath. Calm down Raina.

"Sir. Actually, I am not *cough* feeling good so can I get umm..you know... sick leave?"

*************

DRAVEN'S POV:

"Sir. Actually, I am not *cough* feeling good so can I get umm..you know... sick leave?"

I pretended to consider the matter for a moment. I can definitely give her a sick leave but... not so easily.

"Okay, I can give you sick leave." Her face brightened up. "For two hours." The brightness of her face fell.

"Excuse me?" she asked.

"Excused." I replied.

She closed her eyes and took deep breaths.

She is so fun to annoy.

And then she looked straight into my eyes.

"Mr. Eastwood. I-"

"Fine." I said, cutting her off.

She blinked. "Fine what?"

"You can take a sick leave. How many days?" I asked while taking the last sip of my coffee.

"Two weeks."

I choked on my saliva ."What?!"

"I said, *cough* tw-"

"I heard you the first time."

"So...?" she asked.

Oh My God! This girl is fearless. She knows that I can totally fire her right now.

"Ms. Parker, do I look stupid to you?" I asked.

"Of course you ar-" She cut herself off after realizing that she said that aloud.

"Of course I...?"

"Well, I guess there is no point lying, so yeah, you look stupid to me." she says while shrugging.

This girl.

I leaned forward towards her and said in a dangerous tone. "Ms. Parker. I hope you are aware that I can fire you right now."

"Of course, I know, dummy. But unfortunately, Sir,I know you can't fire me. I am currently heading the project of an extremely important client."

Dummy?!

"Ms. Parker. I am not your friend. I am your boss." I replied coldly.

"Sorry, Sir." she said.

She says the word 'sir' as if someone is forcefully making her drink poison.

But unfortunately, she is right. I can't possibly fire her.

"Ms. Parker?" I said.

"Yes, Mr. Eastwood."

"If you are aware that you are heading such an important project, why you asking for two weeks holiday?" I said with a smug smirk.

***********

RAINA'S POV :

"If you are aware that you are heading such an important project, why are you asking for two weeks holiday?" he said with a smug smirk.

"I-"

I mentally face palmed myself.

Stupid Raina! See, this is what happens when you say too much.

"Looking at your overall performance... I presume I can give you two weeks off."

"What?! You agreed?" I asked.

"I won't repeat myself, Ms. Parker."

"Thank you, sir."

This bastard!! He..

He can't just say 'fine I give you two weeks holiday. Enjoy your holiday' . Okay, maybe not the last part....

But this bastard has to make me guilty.

"Ms. Parker?"

"Yes sir?"

"I am not paying you to warm my office's chairs."

This Stupid person!!

"I understand, Sir. I am going to work,." I said and walked towards the door.

The moment I opened the door, I collided with someone.

Bam!

Within seconds a cup full of black coffee hit the floor. I gulped.

"MS. PARKER!!"

"I AM SORRY MR. EASTWOOD!!"

With that, I went outside and slammed the door behind me.

**********

DRAVEN'S POV :

"BRING ME ANOTHER CUP OF COFFEE!! RIGHT NOW!!"

"Y-yes sir!!" said the employee weakly.

With that the employee left.

I rubbed my forehead. Why haven't fired her yet?!

'Because she is one of the best employees of our company' my conscience replied.

I don-

Ringgg!!

I picked up the call.

"Hey Mom!"

"Don't 'hey' me, Dravy! You haven't visited us since last year!"

"Because you all came over here... a month ago?" I tried to reason with her but she wasn't listening.

"Don't act smart, boy! I am your mother and you are coming home tomorrow!"

"Bu-"

"That's final!" she snapped.

"Okay..the-"

"Good! 'Cause I have already booked the tickets."

If all this was already planned, why bother asking me?

"Okay Mom... see you."

************

RAINA'S POV :

"Oh My G-God!!" said Liz while laughing on her bed.

"Can you stop laughing?" I asked, irritated.

"I am s-sorry, I can't!!" said Liz between her fits of laughter.

So, I just told her that I bumped into the person who was bringing Mr. Demon's coffee. Yup, I gave him this nickname and it's fits perfectly.

"I think you should get an award for destroying Boss's coffee time."

"Shut up!"

"You know you are extremely lucky that you are not fired because you are... so-called a good employee. Otherwise sir can get any other person to do your job if he wanted to. I mean Draven Eastwood, One of the most youngest and successful business man of our countr-"

"Shut up! I need to sleep." I said, snuggling into my bed sheet. Within seconds, I let the sleep engulf me.

*********

RAINA'S POV :

OMG!

OMG!

OMG!

I pinched myself for the thousandth time. Yup, this is real.

I stepped in front of the airplane's staircase. I turned towards the sign that said 'Business Class' and walked inside that door.

Yup! I wanted my trip to be perfect!

I went inside the luxurious business class. I found my seat. I looked at it. Finally!

It's such a great day! What can go wrong? I mean, I didn't even trip once since morning.

I was about to sit bu-

"Ms. Parker. Is that you?" asked an extremely familiar cold voice. I stiffened.

HOLY COW!!!
