Chapter 46
“Mom, I want to see daddy, I miss him.” Haley said blankly to her mother. It had been two years since she seen him and has been showing sings of depression since her anger wore off. Kim knew she was depressed because of not seeing her daddy but couldn’t get her to talk about it. “Ok.” Kim said smiling. “Can we go see him now?” Haley asked. “I don’t know where he lives anymore, but I promise I will find him and as soon as I do, I will take you to see him!” Haley was satisfied with that answer and ran to her room while Kim began calling around to find Justin.
Jack and May helped JT and Justin find a new home and soon they found themselves in a two story, red brick home that looked more like a mansion than a normal house. Justin continued working with Max with constant check ins from his probation officer, manly because she would often come by to have lunch with Max. While on their lunch break Melonie’s phone ran, “Who is this? I don’t know that number, do you?” she asked showing her phone to Max. “I don’t know, it could be important though.” He said shrugging his shoulder. “Hello? Yes… oh wow! Ok, sure let me give you the address!” She gave the person Justin’s address and hung up smiling at max. “Who was it?” Max asked, confused as to why she gave out Justin’s information, as he slowly eased a chip in his mouth, staring with a puzzled expression aimed at his fiancé. “That was Kimberly Andrews, wanting Justin’s information so she can bring his daughter by to see him!”
“What? Really!”
“They are on their way right now!”
Justin was in the middle of a meeting when Kim and Haley arrived. He had his ack to the door and didn’t notice them walk in. Max looked up and smiled, Justin took notice and turned around, His eyes grew wide and his heart felt like it had fallen to his ankles. He jumped up and ran to Haley as she ran for him. A single tear raced down his cheek unnoticed and a hard lump formed in the base of his throat. “Justin, you can’t just leave a meeting! Get back over here!” Max’s right hand man said slamming his pen down on the table. Justin had a long history of just walking away to use the bathroom, get a snack, get a drink, or simply just not listening, which pissed the man off. Max held his hand up signaling him to be quiet while Justin ignored the comment and continued to hold tight to his daughter. Their sweet reunion brought tears to everyone’s eyes, well except the asshole that didn’t like Justin leaving the table. Justin refused to work while Haley was there. The two has a lot to catch up on. They talked and played games like, Monopoly, Connect four, Battle Ship, all their favorites. It was midnight before Kim and Haley finally left, Haley wanted to stay but she had school in a few hours and Kim thought she had allowed her to stay up and play with her daddy long enough, but they would be back.
While the two re-kindled their bond, trouble was brewing again. Jason was released from prison and found out where Justin lived. He showed up while Max was there going over some paperwork with Justin that he had missed while he visited with Haley. Jason walked in without knocking and followed Justin’s voice to the office room of the house. He stood in the door way growing angry at the sight of Max sitting with Justin. The feeling was leaning more towards jealousy than anger, but he would never admit to it. Max looked up and his skin turned pale. “I have got to stop sitting with my back to the door, what is it now?” Justin said feeling a little frustrated. “Jason? What the fuck are you doing here?” Justin yelled. “get the hell out of my house!”
Even though Jason wouldn’t speak, his thoughts were clear. He knew the truth and so did Max, but Justin did not. A few minutes later Marge walked in and it sent Justin into a rage. He wanted to kill Jason and find someone to take marge down since she was woman and he couldn’t hit her no matter how bad he wanted to. “Justin, calm down son. We have changed, I swear! We came to apologize. We want to start over!” Marge pleaded. “No! Fuck both of you! You can’t start over!” Justin yelled pacing the floor. “Justin please calm down you are just going to go back to prison.” Max said. “Max why are you here anyway? Didn’t we agree you would stay away?” Marge added. Justin froze and looked at Marge feeling like he was missing something. “What does that mean?” he asked. “Nothing don’t worry, its ok, do you forgive us?” Marge answered trying to change the subject. “Fuck no!”
“Please! We have changed I promise! Just lets us show you!”
“No dammit! What do you mean Max agreed to stay away? What are you not telling me?”
“Your mom cheated on Jason with me and we believe you are my son, not Jason’s.” Max said almost mumbling under his breath as if he was ashamed. “What? Are you fucking serious?”
“Yes.”
“I don’t believe this shit! I want proof!”
“Ok.” Max agreed.
“Is that why you treated me so bad Marge?
“I was ashamed of what I had done Justin. Please try to understand.” Marge begged. “No! Why did you take it out on me? It wasn’t and stull isn’t my fault you acted like a whore!” Marge gasped at Justin’s words and took a step backwards clasping her chest and closing her eyes. “Ok, we will be back when you get the results.”
