Chapter 3
Ink landed in the Doodlesphere, and started pacing. That's the fifth AU this week! And Ink hadn't even made any new ones! Ugh, it was so frustrating. How many AUs must Error destroy before he is satisfied? From what Ink could tell, Error had no specific goal other than to ruin as many AUs as he can, as well as driving Ink nuts. Oh, he must be so proud of himself for successfully escaping just as the tables turned against him! But, that smile....
Ink stopped. What was with that smile that unsettled him? It was... sort of sad. Regretful. Not really as insane as he expected. He wanted to believe it was just his imagination, but well....
A portal opened a few feet away, revealing his best friend and colleague, Dream. The positive guardian had been busy with his brother, so he couldn't aid Ink in dealing with Error. Fortunately, he had been able to retreat, but the AU had been devastated. Ink will probably get around to it later.
"Ink? What's wrong?" The guardian asked.
"Error. What else?"
Dream winced. Of course. How could he be so stupid?
"Right, right. Which one did he... destroy today?"
"Flowerfell..."
"Oh," Dream's expression lightened a bit.
"That's not so bad. That AU isn't a very positive one, anyway."
"That isn't the point, Dream," Ink scowled. "Error is killing people. No matter the universe, killing people is still wrong, and he shouldn't be allowed to do it!"
"Why did you make them negative then?"
"It wasn't on purpose. I just... couldn't resist creating it. I don't always know how it will turn out, but once they start going a certain way, I know what to name them."
"Is that how you ended up with Underfell and others like it?"
"Yeah...."
Ink started pacing again. How long will he have before Error started destroying again? Maybe they could capture him. There has to be a way to stop him for good. Ink thought more. If they captured him, could they convince him to stop? He started to rehearse what he'd say to the destroyer in his head.
'Error, you need to stop. Destroying does no one any good.'
'Error, this is wrong. Why can't you see that?'
'Error, does this make you feel better? I'm sure we could find something more productive for you to do!'
'Error-'
"Ink, what are you doing?" Dream interrupted Ink's mental play. The artist turned to Dream.
"I've got an idea."
Meanwhile, in ScienceTale....
Sci hummed as he wrote down a few notes on his clipboard. He poked his chin with the pen, then turned to the three potions on his desk.
Wait.
When were there three?
Eh, whatever. The other ones were his experiments for getting Fresh off Error's tailbone, anyway.
One, a silvery, almost opal white, was a special healing potion he'd been working on for Error. The glitchy skeleton usually came to Sci's house injured beyond what he deemed safe. Of course, Error has informed him this is normal, and he will eventually go back to fully functioning order. Sci hated violence, and seeing Error like this really rattled his bones.
Lol.
Sci found out that Error does not eat, at all, after the destroyer had declined to grab a bite to eat at Grillby's. Sci was horrified at this information, knowing this shouldn't be possible for Error to be alive, right now. A monster going without food for centuries, maybe longer, should've been a death sentence. Little did Sci know, Reaper wouldn't go near Error if he could help it. The reason being, he didn't want associate with a mass murderer, despite the fact he has to reap the souls Error kills. Ink would probably condemn him as well if he were to try to get to know the glitchy skeleton. Not that he wanted to, anyway.
Anyway, Sci thought he'd perfected this potion. This was supposed to be an alternative to eating until Error was used to healing. It would, at the very least, help make his job easier if he didn't also have to heal himself while he fights.
Speak of the devil, Error fell through a portal onto the table in the kitchen, startling Papyrus while he made supper.
"OH DEAR, ERROR! WHAT HAPPENED?" Papyrus exclaimed as he set his spaghetti casserole on the stove. He hurried to the stairs to the basement and yelled.
"SANS! ERROR JUST ARRIVED!!!"
"Oh shit!" Sci scrambled to get his notes together and head upstairs. What he was greeted with almost made him gag in disgust. Error stood in the living room with a hand over his injured eyesocket, the other holding up the arm that was nearly snapped off. Error huffed in annoyance. Sci just didn't get that he didn't really care if he got hurt since his body will just rebuild itself. Sci sighed and rubbed his forehead.
"Error, why must you do this to yourself?"
The glitchy skeleton snorted. "You say that like I have a choice."
"....Sorry."
"It's fine."
Papyrus stood awkwardly, looking from the destroyer to his brother. Thankfully, Sci had been smart enough to realize he couldn't keep Papyrus out of the loop forever, not with Error appearing out of nowhere every day, practically.
"WELL, HOW ABOUT WE EAT SOME SUPPER. I PREPARED SPAGHETTI CASSEROLE PER SANS' REQUEST. THANK YOU FOR GETTING THE RECIPE FOR ME, ERROR!"
Error grunted in response. He carefully sat down on the couch behind him and sighed. Sci shook his head, and sat down next to him.
"Look Error. I know you said your body is used to this, but I really think you should at least try to find a way to heal properly. It would make fighting Ink a little easier...."
"......What's the point?"
Sci blinked in surprise. This doesn't sound good.
"Wh-what do you... mean?"
"Why does Ink have to keep creating? Does he think this is a game? What's the point?" He repeated. Sci looked away, considering his words carefully. Many Sanses battled with depression, himself included, so he had to be especially careful how he approached this subject.
"I... honestly, I was wondering the same thing. Have you... tried asking him?"
Error nodded.
"He doesn't listen. Thinks I'm lying, or distracting him. But, one of these days, I'll probably fall too far behind and the multiverse will start to collapse." He turned to Sci with a small smile. "If your universe is in danger, though, I'll find you and your brother a safe place to live. Same with Blueberry. You two have been the best friends to me besides Nightmare and the gang, and I'd do anything to protect my friends."
Sci smiled.
"Man, Error. You're gonna make me cry. I am glad you hold me in such high respect, and I would willingly return the favor. Which brings me to what I wanted to tell you. I've been working on this potion that I'm hoping will heal you. How about-"
"SANS?" Papyrus was looking out the door, an alarmed expression spread on his face.
"What is it, bro?"
".....IT'S INK....."
Error's good eyesocket widened, and he frantically searched for a place to hide. Sci noticed this, and took Error by the shoulders.
"Quick! Downstairs, there is a potion. Drink that and go back to the Anti-Void. You still have that phone I gave you, right?"
Error nodded.
"Good. Now go!"
Error hurried down the stairs as quickly as he could, hearing the knock on the door indicating Ink was just outside the house. He entered Sci's lab to find three potions:
One yellow and black, one a faded blue, and one opal white.
'Which one?!?' He thought nervously. If he drank the wrong one, he might end up poisoned. He doubted any of it could kill him, but he didn't want to know what the other stuff could do to him if one would heal him. A sound coming from behind him made him jump and, in a panic, he chose the yellow and black one. He swallowed the contents in one gulp, and immediately doubled over in pain. He felt sick, like he was gonna throw up, so he held a hand to his mouth. His head was spinning, and the world around him started to grow larger.
Uh, wut?
His clothes somehow grew too big for his body, and he sunk to the floor as his body was thrown off balance. Next thing he knew, he was looking up at the counter. His coat lay around him like a blanket, a very large blanket, and he looked around. His vision had cleared, his arm didn't hurt anymore, and his previous injuries had disappeared. He looked down at his arm, and tried to scream. All that came out was a strangled yip.
His arm was covered in fur.
'O-oh my stars,' Error thought, hyperventilating in alarm. 'This is his idea of healing?!? What the fuck?!??!!'

Ok, this one is done, too. I forgot the second chapter was supposed to be uploaded before this one, so I wrote both of them in about three hours.
And the whole time, my siblings were playing Animal Crossing and wanting me to leave even though I was doing nothing of actual consequence to them.
