(Original Dimension: Duel Monsters time)

(3rd Person PoV)

Atem: 0 LPS

They couldn't believe it! Yugi won!

Atem and Yugi stared at each other for a while before smiling.

"It's time...partner," Atem said.

"Yeah, it's been a long ride together. But it's time for you to go home," Yugi nodded.

Everyone else was watching, both sad and happy.

Happy that Atem can go back to his home and sad that he needs to leave them behind.

"Finally...five thousand years of waiting hasn't it? It is time," Ishizu Ishtar said.

"Yeah, true," her little brother, Marik nodded.

BOOM!

The ground began to shake underneath them and some of them lost balance and fell.

"What the-?! Da hell is going on?" Joey asked.

"An earthquake?" Tea asked.

"No...there's this power that I sense. Does anyone recognize it?" Ishizu asked.

"I can but it's nothing like I ever sense before," Marik pointed out.

"I do but that's impossible," Atem said suddenly.

"What do you mean?" Tristan asked.

"We defeated him. He was supposed to stay defeated in the past but now he's here," Atem explained and helped Yugi up because he fell due to the shaking.

"What? You mean him?" Yugi gulped and Atem nodded.

The ground shook again and this time, rubble came falling down.

"Run!" Tea yelled and they all got out of the way of the rubble.

Once they were outside, they realized what Atem and Yugi were talking about.

"Whaaat! Not him!" Tristian exclaimed.

"Zorc...," Yugi said.

"But how? I thought he was defeated by you if what you said was correct," Marik was shocked.

"That's what we all thought. But now he's here?" Atem asked.

There was a large sigh behind them.

"This is what I get for hanging around you all," Kaiba sighed.

"Well then rich boy! How do you suppose how he got here?" Joey snapped.

Kaiba just shrugged at this which pissed Joey off.

The rubble kept falling and the ground began to shake.

"Well we have to defeat him now or else he'll destroy everything in his path," Atem said.

"Yeah, up for one last team up?" Yugi asked and Atem nodded

"Dark Magician!"

"Dark Magician Girl!"

"Heh, you think you can keep all the glory to yourself. Not on my watch," Kaiba rolled his eyes.

"Blue Eyes White Dragon!"

"Hey what's the big idea! Don't leave me out!" Joey snapped.

"Red Eyes Black Dragon!"

The four monsters flew over to Zorc and attacked him.

Individually, the attacks couldn't do anything but eventually they decided to attack at the same time.

It did something alright.

"Hey did Zorc just fizzled?" Tea asked.

"Fizzled like an illusion?" Marik asked.

"Is this a prank then?" Kaiba asked.

"But then who would know about Zorc?" Yugi asked.

"Guess our monsters have to attack at the same time in order to figure it out," Atem pointed out.

"Alrigh' again!" Joey shouted.

Then they heard a noise.

Vrroooom!

Something flew up.

It appeared to be a red motorcycle and the rider's face was covered by their helmet.

However, when he shouted out something, both Yugi and Atem recognized that voice.

"Stardust Dragon!"

A new dragon appeared and shot something out of his mouth as soon as the other four monsters attacked.

The image now fizzled out and the monsters disappeared.

"So it was an illusion but how could it have done so much damage?" Tea asked.

"That I do not know," Ishizu replied.

"That was...baffling to say the least," Tristian shook his head.

"Well we got to thank this new person for helping us out," Joey told them.

"He's not necessarily a new person. Well to us at least," Yugi looked over at Atem.

"What do you mean?" Marik asked.

The two of them approached the now parked motorcycle, the rider waiting for them.

He took off his helmet and Atem and Yugi's suspicions were true.

"Yusei," Yugi smiled.

Yusei waved before looking at the two of them.

"Why are there two of you?" He asked.

"It's a long story. His name is Atem," Yugi explained.

"I honestly wish we could meet up again under different circumstances but," Yusei sighed.

"Yo, Yugi. Mind explaining what's going on?" Joey asked as the rest of the walked over to them.

"It's a long story but I can shorten it up for you," Yugi said.

He then explained the story of how he and his grandpa were at a gathering where everyone was waiting the arrival of Pegasus. Something bad happened and people were killed.

However, time shifted backwards and everyone was saved that time around due to two duelist of the future.

Judai Yuki and Yusei Fudo.

"So you're one of them?" Tea asked.

"My name is Yusei Fudo as Yugi said here. I come from the far future but still in the same timeline as you. Explain to them who Paradox is and what happens next before I explain why I'm here," Yusei said.

Something tells me that this isn't good, Yugi thought and proceeded to tell them about Paradox, a time traveling duelist, who wanted to destroy Duel Monsters. It took all three of them to defeat him to save not only their beloved card game but also their timelines.

"So Yusei, why are you here?" Joey asked.

"We're dealing with a bigger problem. Someone worse than Paradox. Someone who can travel through the multiverse at will," Yusei explained.

"The multiverse? You're kidding!" Tristian gasped.

"I'm not. They want to destroy each of the different worlds. I don't have all the details but I do know this. They may seem like illusions but the damage that they do is very real. Like how you saw just now," Yusei explained.

Kaiba was listening to all of this and he could barely grasp on how any of this is true.

He could believe time traveling but the multiverse?

He then felt something buzz in his pocket and went to pick it up.

"So our world is in danger?" Tea asked, shocked.

"Not just yours. Essentially if they destroy this time era, they destroy Judai's and mine. And essentially this other time era. They will also destroy the other worlds that are not connected to our world. We...my team and I, are gathering duelists from those worlds in order to defeat this threat," Yusei explained.

"So you need us?" Yugi asked and looked over at Atem.

Yusei nodded and Yugi turned to Atem.

"If what he says is true...," he trailed off.

"We need to merge one last time before my true goodbye. It's the only way to defeat this threat that Yusei speaks of," Atem said.

"And you're ok with it after being sealed for five thousand years?" Marik finally spoke up.

"I promise that after this threat is over, I will return," Atem said.

"...alright," Marik said.

"Bad news," Kaiba finally appeared again.

"What is it?" Tea asked.

"I just got off the phone with Mokuba and he says that monsters are appearing on the streets of Domino City. Plus there are also rumors that they're appearing in other places," Kaiba explained.

"Oh damn," Joey took a step back.

"We need to find a way to defeat those monsters while you go stop the threat. I have a feeling that if you stop the threat, then that'll stop. We just need to make sure that the collusion damage isn't too grave," Tea spoke up.

"Thank you, Tea," Yugi nodded.

"Alright, get on. We need to go now," Yusei said.

Atem and Yugi looked at each other before nodding.

They both got on in the back of Yusei's motorcycle but before they could go anywhere, someone shouted, "Wait!"

It was Joey?

"I'm coming with you," he stated.

"Joey...are you sure?" Yugi asked.

"I'm more than sure! I just have a feeling that you'll need a couple of extra help," Joey explained.

Yugi and Atem turned to Yusei who seemed to mutter something under his breath.

"She never said that there could be another duelist other than...sure, if you're ready to face danger, then you can come," Yusei said.

"We already faced many dangers before! What's another one to add on?" Joey asked.

He then turned to Tea.

"While I'm gone, can you keep an eye on my sister? I'd be more eased up if someone as responsible as you is watching over my sister," he asked.

"Don't worry, Joey. Your sister will be safe with me but are you sure that you're ok with leaving Serenity behind?" Tea asked.

"If someone as responsible as you are watching over her, it'll be fine," Joey replied.

"What? What about me?" Tristian asked.

"You stay away from my sister!" Joey snapped.

"Don't worry! I'll make sure that he doesn't advance towards Serenity," Tea vowed.

"Aww come on," Tristian sighed.

"Alright, move it! Can't waste any time," Kaiba huffed and walked away.

"We'll help too. Then I pray that this threat will be over," Ishizu said.

"I hope so," Marik added on.

Yugi and Atem looked at each other and nodded.

"We understand," they both said.

"Alright! Let's save the multiverse!" Joey pumped his fist in the air.

They got in the back of Yusei's D-Wheeler and Yusei drove off, picking up speed.

They were hit by a blinding crimson light in the shape of a dragon and disappeared.

Once they gain consciousness, Yugi had the Millennium Puzzle around his neck and Atem was no where to be seen. Meaning that he went back inside the puzzle again.

One last adventure, Yugi thought.

"So where to?" Joey asked.

"We need to pick up another duelist. I think you might recognize him, Yugi," Yusei explained.

"Judai?" Yugi asked and Yusei nodded.

"Let's go...to the GX time!"

A/N: not too particularly happy about this chapter but oh well! Definitely do give me criticism for it because I feel like this chapter was a bit too stiff in my opinion.
