[21] "Fucking Rich People"
On our way back, Miles offered to drive me home and I agreed. I had no other way of going back. Now I was currently directing him to my house, luckily he's never been here during junior school. I've never really approved of people knowing where I live, but I trust Miles. Shelby obviously knows because she always used to insist on sleepovers, and whatever Shelby wants – Shelby gets.
"Turn right after we pass this street," I told him.
"Turn right?" He repeated.
I nodded, "Yeah."
"Right here?" He asked.
"No, that other street," I explained once again.
"No, I heard you right. You said right here." He pointed at the street before mine.
"Miles... I said there, not here!" I frowned, getting frustrated as I massaged my temples.
"There's that cute face I was waiting for." He said, smiling fondly as he passed the current street and turned into mine.
"You were pretending all this time?" I asked him in disbelief.
"Pretty much," He shrugged nonchalantly.
I smacked his shoulder but smiled at him as he started laughing at how irritated I was. How could anyone possibly hate Miles? He's just so loveable.
"Relax babe, can't I see your cute angry face anymore?" He argued, "Sometimes, you're serious and I miss your smile and your angry face all at once," He explained himself.
"That's a lame excuse," I told him and he stared at me open mouthed. "But it's still sweet," I added with a smile, that's when his features relaxed in relief.
"Now don't I get a kiss for being sweet?" He raised his eyebrows at me and pouted.
"No." I told him with a frown, "Absolutely not."
"Aww come on, please?" He begged but I stood my ground and shook my head.
"Nope," I said, popping the 'p' in the process, just for fun.
He gave me a weird look, "Why do you like popping your p's sometimes?"
My eyes widened a little before I decided to respond with a shrug, "Because I can."
He then shook his head and stopped arguing.
"Okay," He said. "But just know that the more you torture me, the more aggressive and needy I'll be when I finally get that kiss I asked for."
My face flushed and he chuckled softly before whistling to himself.
"Woah... you live on this street?" He asked in awe as he saw all the big houses. "What the hell?" He said as we passed a house with two white limos parked outside. The second one we passed had been covered with ceramic tiles that cost a fortune all over, except the roof obviously. We passed a few more houses before we got to mine, Miles was driving really slow to scout the houses. His reactions for the different houses were actually making me laugh.
When we got to my house, I looked out to see my dad come out of the open garage with his phone in his hands.
"Fucking rich people." Miles muttered with a slight shake of his head.
"What?"
"Why own so many cars?" He asked. "And I bet he probably lives alone. So what? he changes the car he uses to work every day?" He raised his eyebrows and I almost laughed at him.
"My dad just has a lot of preferences, including vintage cars," I answered on his behalf. "And by the way, three of us live here. Him, my brother and I."
The car came to an abrupt stop as his eyes widened in shock. "You live here?"
"Yeah," I nodded with a shrug. He looked so adorable once again, I found myself smiling at his reaction.
"I can't believe you're rich. You should be on Mtv Teen Cribs," He said. He parked in the driveway when my dad signaled for him to come in as soon as he saw me in the passenger seat.
"Tyler, come over here!" My dad said as soon as Miles turned the engine off.
I went out of Miles' car and ran over to my dad, giving him a hug. "Daddy! How are you feeling today?"
"I'm good," He simply said, slightly shaking his head at me. His blonde hair was neatly combed as always and he was wearing a formal attire so he's probably back from work. "And that annoying kid, Roger, is here." He told me and I groaned, rolling my eyes.
"Hi Mr. Jones," Miles greeted my dad, looking a bit nervous.
Well, this is a first.
My dad smiled sheepishly. "I was wondering when this day would come. When my daughter finally brought a boy home," He teased with a smile. "How are you doing young man?"
"Dad!" I whined. He and Miles laughed at my expense.
"Miles, this is my dad. Dad, this is Miles," I introduced them.
"Nice to meet you Miles. I like you already son, my daughter's a hard one to crack but you did it anyway," They laughed once more. I grabbed Miles' hand and pulled him with me in the direction of the house before I could be embarrassed any further.
Miles used the same hand I was pulling and put it around my stomach in an intimate gesture. When I looked up at him, he leaned down to kiss the tip of my nose. We were away from my dad's sight now, so we were free to get a little intimate.
"Who's Roger?" Miles asked, "Is he the Mac DeMarco guy?"
I laughed.
"No. He's my brother's friend," I told him. "But he's a bit too old to have friends that young. He's almost our age, and he's hanging out with fourteen year olds."
"Why would he do that?" He asked.
"Eddie once said it's because he likes me." I said, shrugging. Miles immediately tensed, his features hardening.
"What?" He said in a low and somewhat annoyed tone. "Why don't you ask him to leave?"
"He's here for Eddie, not me." I told him softly.
"I don't like this." He muttered, "I don't like it at all."
I turned myself around in his arms, giggling at his jealousy and put my arms around his neck while his tightened around my waist.
"It's not funny." He pulled a long face. He's so cute, damn.
I was about to say something but he stopped me. "Okay, I'll tell you what... how about we go inside? If I see him and regard him as a threat, we kick him out and tell him to never return here."
I laughed at his suggestion and he smiled as he showed me his pearly whites.
"Miles... I only want you." I told him honestly. Maybe he's starting to doubt my feelings for him because I don't tell him nearly as much as he keeps reminding me. I mean, I assume he knows. He's Miles Kramer, for crying out loud. As much as I'd hate to admit it, he's hot commodity and girls obviously fawn over him.
"Ncaw, my baby is so sweet, isn't she?" He cooed, as he caressed my chin gently before smiling down at me. "There's not a lot of things I'm sure about, but one thing I am certain about is that you're the only one for me."
I stood on my tiptoes and he dipped his head lower so I could kiss him. It wasn't long before he took control and made sure the kiss sped up. He brought desire, aggression and passion into the kiss. He kept pulling me closer, as if even though we were practically on each other like glue, it wasn't enough. He wanted me even closer. He pulled me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist, making him groan against me. Aggression was rolling off of him but he was still gentle with me.
When we finally pulled back, he rested his forehead to mine with a smile. "I told you I'd be aggressive when I finally get to kiss those sweet lips of yours." He said, biting his lower lip before his lips formed a smirk.
I shook my head at him and laughed. "Come on, let's go inside."
