Shelby left the room and headed towards the study to get Miles. It wasn't long before..

"TYLER! GET YOUR SEXY ASS OUT OF THERE, I TOLD YOU ALREADY! YOU'RE SMOKING HOT!"

I didn't need to be told for the millionth time. I immediately grabbed the clutch bag Shelby borrowed me for tonight and put my phone inside before walking out.

Deep breaths, Tyler. Deep breaths.

For some reason unknown even to myself, I was a nervous wreck. Apart from the fact that I was in an outfit I'd never usually go for, Miles would see me in it.

Yes. That might just be the main reason. Is he going to like it?

When I came down the stairs, they were both waiting for me but Miles was looking down at his phone as he absent-mindedly scrolled on his screen.

It was only when Shelby admired her work and squealed that Miles also looked up. He was about to look away once again but his eyes widened as he took me in fully. His jaw dropping as his eyes raked my body from head to toe.

"She's hot right?!" Shelby asked him with a squeal.

Miles brushed the back of his neck. "Uh... yeah, she's... gorgeous." He said softly, making me shift my gaze onto his when I reached the bottom.

I gave a nervous smile in return, before my thoughts invaded my mind and reminded me that the last time he saw me, I had a towel wrapped around my wet body.

Oh crud. This is embarrassing. My cheeks flushed but luckily he didn't seem to notice as he also seemed a bit flustered.

What if he was thinking about the exact same thing?

Jeez! What's wrong with my life?

"H-Hi." He stammered, his hand still behind his neck. "You look gorgeous."

Shelby was already on her way out as she unlocked the front door so we could leave.

"You already said that," I laughed. "But you don't look too bad yourself." I tried to act calm but on the inside, it was havoc. My heart was beating faster and my stomach was doing backflips while it had butterflies erupting.

It felt so uncomfortable.

"Guys... come on!" Shelby whined. "We're going to be late!"

"Look what I got!" Shelby said as she pulled out a bag and opened the zip, taking out some liquor. She unscrewed the cap and took a large gulp before handing it to me.

I followed suit and took a large gulp. It tasted pretty good, it had a berry-like taste. I held the bottle up to see the name of the drink. Hooch Fox: Black current flavour.

I took a second gulp, letting the flavour go swiftly down my throat.

"It tastes good right?" Shelby squealed excitedly. "Don't ever underestimate my alcohol taste!" She warned playfully.

I giggled, "It's amazing."

I'm hardly one to drink so I had no experience when it came to alcohol. I expected a bitter taste but the bottle she bought was the complete opposite.

If it was one of those drinks that taste good, yet still have a high alcohol percentage, I would have to be careful. For someone who doesn't usually drink, my alcohol tolerance was most likely to be incredibly low.

"Hold on." She stopped me before I could drink another gulp. "You need to save some of your soberness for the party." She laughed at my eagerness to get drunk.

I pouted and whined, "Shelby..."

"I promise I'll give you an entire bottle when we get there," She said before shrugging. "Besides, there will most probably be plenty more when we get there.

Another bottle? Woah. Just how much alcohol did she buy for tonight?

"I wouldn't recommend drinking. The guys here..." Miles trailed off a little. "They're also slightly older so I don't think it's a good idea."

"Ugh, Honey bear," I rolled my eyes as Shelby said this. "They're just boys, nothing I can't handle." She waved her hand dismissively.

I just shrugged and stole the bottle from Shelby, taking another large gulp. She gasped in shock and smacked my bare arm playfully, but it still stung.

"OW!" I exclaimed, rubbing the sore spot.

"I told you," She started. "You can't have this right now! If you finish it, what's going to be left for me and Miles?" She argued.

"I'm not drinking." Miles told us as he turned into a street and parked by the spot nearest to the entrance. There were already a lot of cars parked, meaning it was going to be pretty much a full house because the party apparently started an hour ago.

"Woah." Miles said as he lowered the window to take a look at our surroundings. It is packed here.

"I know, there's a lot of people right?" Shelby said.

"Hey!"

Making our way out of the car, we all turned to look at the guy shouting out at us as he came our way. My eyes widened and a smile formed at my face when I saw who it was. With Shelby, it was a lot more different as she had a look of annoyance on her face.

"Fuck, is that who I think it is?" She said, not even trying to hide how much she still doesn't like him.

"Well, it's nice to see you too, Shelby..." He said with a beam, not looking happy either.

"Spencer!" I said aloud and ran towards him. His eyes widened as he wasn't expecting my outburst but he quickly collected himself and put his arms around me.

"Tyler?" We finally pulled back and he held me at arms length to study me closely. "Damn, what happened to the tomboy I was so used to?"

"This is all Shelby's work." I pointed towards her with a smile.

"I have to hand it to her, you look amazing!" He complimented as he twirled me around.

"Thank you!"

Miles cleared his throat, not looking too happy as he kept his hands in his pockets.

"Oh... Miles, this is Spencer. We met in the seventh grade and we've been inseparable ever since. And the reason Shelby knows him is because he was in Macedonia High for the eighth grade before he transferred." I then looked towards Spencer, "Spence, this is my good friend, Miles. I met him... uh- this year when he transferred to our school." Spencer raised his eyebrows at this.

He already knew who it was. Spencer is like my closest friend, I tell him everything and anything. I showed him Miles' pictures a couple of times so he definitely knows who this is.

They do a simple bro hug.

"Nice to meet you, man." Miles said and Spencer just nodded at him with a smile.

"Hey, you forgot to mention the best part... He's also my boyfriend you know?" Shelby pointed out.

"Why am I not surprised?" Spencer rudely said. "You would honestly date any drool worthy thing as long as it has a dick."

Shelby gaped at him and was about to say something but I cut her off.

"I haven't seen you in such a long time!" I said, also desperate to change the topic. "I thought we'd spend our entire lives talking over the phone, I mean you were at a different state altogether and like wow, actually... why didn't you tell me you were coming back?" I raised my brow at him.

"I wanted to surprise you." He shrugged as we all walked in the house.

Miles looked really pissed off. I made a mental note to ask him about it later. As soon as we stepped in, we met our friends from school and they came over to us.

"Hey, guys." Oliver said as he gave Miles a bro hug and hugged Shelby. He almost tripped when he came over to my side. "What the... Tyler is that you?!" He questioned, staring at me open mouthed. I just nodded, giving him a weird look. "Woah, you look hot!"

The girls looked shocked as they stood behind him with raised eyebrows.

He pulled me in for a hug and I laughed, "Thanks."

"Hey, I got some drinks for you guys- Holy shit!" Derrick cursed as he saw me, "Tyler?" He asked, his voice coming out barely above a whisper even though it was high pitched.

"Hi Derrick." I greeted.

"Here you are, my lady." He handed me one of the red cups he had.

"What the fuck Derrick? I thought you said those drinks were for us." Tanya argued, looking angry because Derrick suddenly had an interest in me.

Shelby raised her eyebrow at me, looking impressed as the effects of her hard labour came into play.

Tanya immediately stomped off even though I tried to stop her by calling out her name.

"Shit." I cursed.

"Relax, hottie." Spencer massaged my shoulders, "It isn't your fault."

Miles suddenly spoke up, still looking angry, "I'll see you guys later." He said before walking off.

"Okay, what just happened?" Shelby said, looking confused.
