I went to my mother

To her I told

"My back hurts mama,"

The doctor will tell us what's wrong."

"The doctor I asked," "like brother?"

"Yes," she nodded then sung a song

To the doctor we went

Scared I was

I did not want to end up like brother

With surgery and puss

Checked out I was

Medicine he proscribed

"Take two a day," he said

I nodded and shut my eyes

Weeks go by now

I've taken the medication

I'm in class doing homework

Then my back starts aching

Again I go to mother

"To the doctor again," she says

So that's we're we went

But we went to the hospital instead

Sign in we did

Nervous I was

I did not want to up like brother

With surgery and puss

So checked out again I was

But with x rays this time

When it was over, I breathed

I let out a sigh

Well call you with the results said the doctor

"Okay," said mother

And on our way home we went

I slept in the car, not wanting to bother
