"So are you still talking to that girl?"
She asks, mother does I mean
"No" I say,
Obviously a lie

"That's good,"
She says
Not seeing behind my fake smile
Yeah was all I said

To the room I go
To lay down on my bed
Pillows around me, tv on
On my phone texting

I start talking to her, my special friend
It's been an hour already
I smile with her and laugh
Mother comes closer

Mother walks in
"What are you doing?" she asks
Nothing I said, a lie,
She nods and says dinners ready

I nod and say
I'll be out in a bit
"You should Open your door more,
What are you trying to hide?" she asks

"Nothing," I say
I lie again
She smiles and leaves
Leaving me alone to my thoughts and my secrets
