Early College Courses are somewhat simple

Not much to fuss about

But Early College Courses are sometimes

not what you think

They do prepare you

For the upcoming times of those four years

Or two

They do prepare you

For the thing you call life without parents

And studying too

The courses that you take

You don't get to choose

They're chosen for you

And it's either a win or a lose

You might be done with English

You might be done with Math

But in early college it's split

It's literally cut in half

The math is different

From other classmates

It's only online

Not face to face

It's harder to learn that way

With no teacher

But you gotta get through it

You'll need it here after

Music

It's fun yeah

But it's also

Exhausting

Tiring to learn

To remember

And then you fail a test

A simple test

One that determines everything

You set yourself up for failure there

You weren't that prepared

For life

For college

Anything else that comes your way

But you thought you were ready
