Infinity of Love

Not as deep as the ocean, but as deep as a knife could pierce through your heart. That's how far his love traveled for her.

One day she asked him, "How much do you love me?" and he just answered. "from here," and she didn't get it, but he had nothing else to say because his love for her seemed never ending. It could take over any empire and travel through any storm. He loved her everlastingly and infinitely.

Their love story was simple, it was boring and not even interesting, as cliché as it could get, but he never really cared. He loved her anyway and he thought that he could never function without her and that was the truth of their relationship.

He worked in a coffee shop everyday for two shifts straight and would see her coming in through the rusted wooden door, everyday at the same time sharp. He laid eyes on her immediately and fell in love, there was nothing to love about her, but he did.

He, Dorman, loved her long brown disheveled hair. It was neither straight nor curly or even wavy. It looked like it had been chopped off with kitchen knives, but he loved it anyway. She was too skinny, boney in fact and had almond shaped eyes filled with dark irises and the deepest pupils that enlarged whenever she looked for something.

She would be reading the same book and having the same coffee for as long as she came into that coffee shop, it was her favorite place. There was nothing really special about it. It was rather clean and small, it's coffee was bitter and smelled odd, but despite of all the negative eye catching reasons of not being there, she still was and she still loved it.

He laid eyes on her as soon as she first entered and watched her for months until he had gathered the courage to come and speak to her, after asking for her order and bringing the same french coffee she'd taken for months now, he shyly ran a hand through his curly brown locks and asked, "what's your name?"

She looked at him, her dull eyes widening and whispered, "Hi," and then laughed nervously, biting her lip, she continued, "It's Mauve."

"That's a very unusual name," he said, "I like it."

And that's how they met, simple and easy, nothing that would interest the by passers.

She loved how his blue eyes were of the deepest sapphire and his nose small, not as manly as it should have been but could be considered cute anyway.

For the next few weeks he was the only thing that was on her mind and she knew the reason very well. Yes, she found him attractive, but she hadn't thought of him as anything but more than a friend and she wanted to keep it that way. Perhaps because, he wasn't even a friend.

But like it was mentioned a thousand times before, he was definitely in love with her even before he heard her small, broken voice.

Dorman made sure to make her smile from that day on wards, especially when she was with him. Mauve was very small and petite, literally and metaphorically speaking. She was too mysterious and he couldn't discover all the reasons behind that. He couldn't discover all the reasons that scared her skin and stole her smile.

He took her out to the Central Park that day and thought her how picking on grass was fun and climbing trees wasn't that dangerous. Mauve's laughter echoed throughout and he listened to it just the way he listened to his old favorite song.

But the further they moved in whatever relationship they shared, the further they destroyed it, but of course they didn't know that. They didn't know where or how they were moving because that was the last thing that's ever crossed their minds. They were too busy thinking about how good they felt in each others arms to even noticed that what was destroying them was they themselves.

They didn't know what it was like, or how it will go until they were completely and utterly destroyed into pieces like the shards of glass that could never become whole again.

Mauve had kept on taking about the economic development of the country and political science like one would talk about their favorite movie and that was something that Dorman couldn't quite understand about her.

Six months into confessing that he liked her, he wanted her to know that there was something more. That there was always something more and Mauve just laughed at him and kissed him ever so passionately that it was simply funny, because it was him who was weak in the knees and as if her body was asking for his to respond, it did. Oh boy did it respond.

His heart was beating so fast, he thought it would eventually stop as the woman of his dreams was pressed by his body against the hotel room's wall.

She moaned onto Dorman's mouth as he claimed her to be his. His hand running down her arm as the second one held onto her head as if she were the most fragile thing in this entire world.

His large chapped lips that felt warm and smooth on hers, did things to her she could have never imagined no matter how many times she had thought of him when she was in bed alone.

Mauve was feeling shy at her horrible, outmatching choice of lingerie, she pulled the sleeves of her dress back up and slowly pushed him away.

"What's wrong?" he asked her, those blue eyes of the deepest sapphire staring into her. Oh how much she loved his eyes and the things the emotions in them made her feel.

Even though she knew that he was drunk, she jumped into the opportunity of being held by him and perhaps finding what she has been looking for for years. Maybe, she thought, he is the one I need and will be with until my lungs collapse. But she knew better than that, she knew such things as being held by the man who will love you forever until he takes in his last breath, did not really exist.

"I'm.. I don't know," she stuttered, looking down. Her cheeks crimson and her teeth grazing her bottom lip. He groaned, "Don't do that."

And before she could say anything else his mouth captured hers ever so lightly. His tongue parting her lips, trying to fight for dominance, but the both of them knew that between them it shall never be won.

His hands once again reached for the already unbuttoned dress and he slid it down her arms letting it awkwardly pool on her hips. His hand reached to cup her lace covered breast, he murmured, "God, you're so beautiful."

"Mmmm.." was the only sound she could MANAGE to let out as his fingers picked on her nipple through the lace, making them perk up and ache.

"God, Dorman..." she moaned, her hands painfully grabbing onto his shoulder as she pushed her head back, her chest arching forward.

Not wanting to take things slow anymore, his hands quickly reached for the clasp of her bra and released her full cream breasts whilst

his mouth took over hers and trailed kisses down her jaw.

Mauve has never felt anything like that before, she hasn't felt so loved and cared for in anyone's hands but in his right now and she wanted him to take her. He was the only man she was willing to give in to. She's kept her innocence for long and she was surprised for the last few months at the thoughts that took over her mind when her eyes landed on him.

The things she thought of him when she was in bed alone never matched up to the moment when it happened. It never prepared her for the feeling of ecstasy. She was thrown off guard by how she felt and how needy she was as soon as his skin made contact with hers.

Leaving all the comparisons behind, she focused on the now and how he made her feel because she knew and that this was the last time any of them would be seeing each other any time soon and Mauve wanted to take in every second of this moment and carve into her mind even if it would haunt her for years to come.

She knew that she had to leave him and mark him with herself, as much as it would pain the both of them. She didn't want him to know that she would have to leave him behind.

She kept in mind that all they ever had was a good time and that was all, she was lying to herself and it was obvious in her eyes, but she still didn't want to give it away. She fell in love with him the same way one lays their eyes on something they've wanted to posses forever. She just fell in love with him.

But Mauve didn't want to bring him down with her, she knew that he was a good man and that she had to keep her troubles for herself.

Mauve cherished those two years that they've spent together as much as she could.

A month after she left him she had received a text from him saying "....to here."

She didn't get it though, she never did.
