"So Zeus said he changed the curse, what's it now?" Leo asked carelessly, looking around the place, it's changed a lot since they last came.
"Instead of my anger being taken, he took away my good emotions. Chaos had suspected something like that would happen so he gave the talking tree on the island a gift, and Amaya was blessed, the happier she is and the older she gets, the more my happiness returns." I explained.
"600 years, you should be happy as before, right?" Piper asked, looking at me carefully, and I shook my head.
"You would be surprised." I mumbled slightly. "Thanks to these two people who helped ruin my entire life in the first place, they helped me realize that I wasn't letting myself be as happy as I could." I said, and Annabeth and Jason looked hurt, and Piper and Leo noticed that I noticed, but also noticed that I didn't care.
"You can slow down on the rude comments of us betraying you." Annabeth mumbled quietly, pulling out her book, she tended to do that while avoiding a situation.
"I'll slow down on it when I no longer blame you guys." I growled back, before clearing my throat. "But, you guys are stuck here if you like it or not. Tomorrow, who knows, maybe more people will come." I said in fake enthusiasm in the end.
"Clearly not a fan of people." Leo said, raising an eyebrow.
"Well loneliness and bitterness does that." I scoffed, and he said uncomfortably.
"Why did someone say you were a mute?" Piper asked curiously, fixing her position in the chair she was sitting on.
"Percy pretends to be a mute when visitors come because he's afraid he will lash out and say something he will regret." Amaya said, and I glared at her, but she only smirked at me casually.
"Talking wolf, completely not weird." Leo mumbled.
"But yeah, Amaya basically said it. And I avoid getting attached, hurts a little less when they leave." I sighed sadly, diving into my thoughts.
"Who do you miss the most? Out of all your visitors?" Jason asked curiously, and I'm pretty sure he's waiting for me to say him, but no. I smiled fondly.
"She came a long time ago, I was hitting a phase of just not wanting to see anyone because heart ache, but she wouldn't let me be alone. She was so damn annoying." I chuckled fondly. "But she didn't give up on me. I fell head over heels crazy in love, more than anyone else." I smiled widely, rubbing my face.
"Tell us about her." Piper smiled.
"Her name was Emily, she had these sparkling eyes, bright blue, but in the dark they turned forest green, they always shined when she talked about her friends and family. Her hair was long, mid waist, bleach blonde hair, but it was natural which was surprising, she showed me how to do braids and stuff, that's why I have some braid like designed things." I chuckled.
"There's more!" Piper enthused and I chuckled, nodding.
"Emily's smile could light up a million dark nights, really bubbly personality, she was always fun and upbeat, like she didn't have a care in the world, almost like a child. One night, she finally told me everything, her childhood, what happened to her in her past, and I realized that her bubbly personality was how she dealt with everything, but that was her, and she was perfectly happy with it. Emily wanted me to leave with her, I had helped her craft a boat to go home, she almost refused to leave, she wouldn't leave without me, but I told her that the fates didn't want me to leave yet, and she said she would get someone to help me." I smiled fondly the entire time, my eyes watering.
"Why didn't she? Wouldn't you have been long gone off this island?" Annabeth asked, but she looked jealous, because she never heard me talk about her the way I talked about Emily, which I completely understand, I wasn't upset or angry about her jealously.
"She moved on, like all the others. I had her little brother come the the island not even 20 years later, told me she was happily married, two kids. He said she tried all she could and no one believed that there was someone on an island in the middle of nowhere." I said sadly. "But she wasn't the only one who said they would come back, or get someone to save me, almost every single one promised me, I got used to the disappointment." I shrugged.
"Almost every single one?" Leo asked.
"I've had visitors that were assholes." I shrugged loosely.
"And you fell in love with them anyways?" Piper asked sadly, and I nodded.
"If I had the choice, I wouldn't have, I would have drowned them if I weren't afraid of the water." I chuckled, and the two gave me a look of confusion, Annabeth and Jason already knew. "Pretty sure Poseidon cursed me never to go in the water unless I want to be almost instantly dragged to the water to down." I scoffed.
"And when was the last time you went in the water?" Leo asked, leaning back on his chair, feet on the table, which annoyed me, and Leo noticed, removing his feet slowly, clearly his throat.
"So many years ago, long before I came back here." I laughed and they did to. "He probably revoked the curse but I'm not willing to find out. That's why you guys are grabbing water in the morning, now we need 6 buckets." I smiled, and Annabeth and Jason groaned, but the other two just looked confused.
"Why 6?" Leo asked cluelessly.
"Water to drink, to use for food, to make my healing water and cleaning water. Actually, it's laundry day, we need 12 buckets." I smiled, and they groaned even more.
