Once we had gotten some wool from the sheep and made clothes (didn't go so well), I took them to the water. "We need four buckets." I said, handing them each a long log with a bucket attached to each side.

"Remind me why you don't just use your powers." Jason groaned, rolling up his jeans, Annabeth doing the same.

"I was disowned, remember? You guys are doing Amaya a favour, she usually has to get the water, and she struggles, not having hands and all." I said, crossing my arms.

"Why don't you ever do it?" Annabeth asked, slowly going into the cold water.

"As Amaya said yesterday, I nearly drowned by just standing in it before, I stay a good enough distance." I explained in annoyance. Wow, this must be how my teachers felt when I still went to school. Well, they're all dead now.

They didn't take long getting the water, which was good, because we needed to boil a lot of it. They already looked tired, and I hated to even think of it, but they weren't used to this, sure, they fight battles and stuff, but getting probably 4 or 5 hours of sleep and then learning new, hard stuff, they can't. "Okay you guys, you did enough for now, you can go back to sleep." I sighed, and they sighed in relief, going back to the hut quickly.

Effortlessly, I carried both logs over my shoulders, bringing half of it inside and preparing to boil some of it for a snack. Hours passed before they were up, and I finished the other chores, and cleaned the entire downstairs, for the millionth time.

"You got busy." Annabeth said, noticing that it was cleaner.

"I clean every day. Tonight, make sure you guys get more sleep, I'm not letting you guys off chores tomorrow." I demanded and they nodded. "Lunch is on the table." I said, and they ate quickly.

"So what's the plan? Wander? Hunt? Build something?" Jason asked curiously, and I smiled widely at them, of course it was fake.

"This is the best part of the day, absolutely nothing!" I said in fake enthusiasm.

"Oh quite with the sarcasm, Perseus." Amaya said, rolling her eyes.

"What? It's true!" I said incredulously.

"You guys could build something, or you could show them how to make traps, build some instruments and teach them how to play some." Amaya listened and I groaned.

"They get to do whatever they please. I'm not their parent." I shrugged, laying down on my bed, which I have made much comfier than just a cot like it was a few thousand years ago. I got comfier quicker than I had thought, which caused me to yawn.

"No, your not. But go to sleep." Amaya ordered, but I sat up.

  "No." I argued.

"You haven't slept for weeks, go to sleep now or I'm going to tell Miss." Amaya threatened, and I knew Miss would do something, so I shoved Amaya away from me.

"You guys go wander, have fun, figure out something to do, I'm being ordered to take a nap by miss-" I started to mock, but Amaya bit my hard enough for me to shut up and listen. The two were quick to leave, Amaya followed, shutting the blinds.

Nobody's POV

The two demigods wandered aimlessly, looking for stuff to do. "Have you seen this so called talking tree?" Annabeth asked Jason curiously. She didn't completely believe that there was a talking tree on the island, and Jason wasn't surprised that she didn't believe Percy.

"Yeah, actually. Percy showed me the tree when I had originally landed on the island. Think we should go see her?" Jason asked, and Annabeth nodded, curiosity to strong not to see the tree. It was a quiet walk until they came across a murky and dark part of the island where dark clouds circled over top and the wind blew coldly. "I didn't expect it to be this depressing." Annabeth grumbled quietly, and suddenly the wind grew stronger, until the tree in the centre of the small detached part of the island had gained a face.

"Annabeth Chase, Jason Grace." The tree, Miss said, eyeing the two in curiosity. She knew more about the two than they thought she would, which would be worrying if the two demigods actually knew.

"How do you know us?" Annabeth asked the talking tree, pulling out her weapon.

"I know all. I am connected to Gaea through the earth, I see all that has happened and I've seen the past. Also Perseus spoke of you two, a long time ago, he spoke quite fondly." Miss smiled softly, but the two just looked confused and surprised.

"What do you mean he spoke fondly of us? He should've hated me all those years." Annabeth asked curiously, putting away her weapon, but Jason only looked guilty. He felt horrible for what he did to Percy, especially after finding out he was beaten and raped by a number of his visitors.

"You along with his other friends, although you all betrayed him, he still cared deeply for you all for the first thousand years, until the heartbreaks took over his thoughts and the good memories dulled." Miss explained sadly, which surprised Annabeth and Jason greatly.

"He should've hated us, he had and has every right to." Jason said, not loudly, not proudly, not angrily, just truthfully.

"Back then, he was unable to, you must remember, but now, or until recently, every time he spoke of his past, he was bitter and angry, he blamed everyone for his problems, especially himself." The tree explained and they nodded, sharing a look.

"And now he's sleep deprived, angry and awfully different from when we last saw him 600 years ago." Annabeth sighed, she didn't feel guilty, but she understood that Percy never betrayed Olympus, she believed Percy now, and that's what matters.

"Do not blame him. Learn to cope with his way of life and you might understand why he lives his way like he does, because no matter how much he explains, you won't understand." She smiled softly before the wind blew her face away. The two walked off quietly until they were far enough.

"How long do you think until we get off the island?" Annabeth asked, but Jason only shrugged in response.
