8-A not-so-silent mute
I actually never expected people to actually read this, where the hell are y'all coming from-
Also obviously I'm gonna describe Mega's skin with a medieval twist (as I have been), so yeah
Also, keep in mind that whenever I do 'this' for dialogue, that character is signing. "This" means they're talking verbally, and 'this' means that they're signing.
Also, just googled it and apparently Mega is 22!? I honestly didn't know that, but now that I think about it, that makes absolutely perfect sense.

Clay deemed it quite lucky that he knew the forest well, since he has to find the mutes cabin by himself. Darryl couldn't leave the bakery unoccupied, and Nick couldn't afford leaving the kingdom for a day, especially since he's the captains right hand man.
But at least his friends were kind enough to give him directions and information about the stranger.

"Okay, so this is the last place Mega was seen." Darryl said, pointing to a clearing on the map. "Which was about.....five years ago?"
"Is he still there?" Dream asked. "Or even alive?"
"No one knows." Nick said. "He's very silent about his whereabouts."
"Well of course, he has a bounty over his head."
"Wait, why? What'd the kid do?"
"Well, kings don't tend to like mutes anyways," Nick explained. "But people say that he was planning to kill the previous captain, or even the king."
"Damn, really?"
"I don't believe it." Darryl stated. "I mean, if that were true, would Dave just banish him? Plus, Mega and Jacob were close, why would he stab his friend in the back?"
Nick shrugged. "It's entirely possible, knowing him."

The sound of humming brought the blonde out of his memory. It was a tuneless Melody, something people would just hum mindlessly when they're busy with a mundane task.
As he walked closer to the humming, he noticed a small little cabin. It was quaint, and very pretty. It was a simple log cabin, about as big as an average one bedroom house. There was a beautiful lake next to it, surrounded by various wildflowers and aquatic reeds. A few wildlife could be spotted drinking from the lake or even taking a swim.
It was very picturesque, something that looks like it came out of a painting.
Outside, tending to a patch of various colored tulips and roses, was a man.
He looked to be in his early twenties, maybe twenty-two, with dark brown hair and matching brown eyes. He had a green scarf on, it covering his mouth and nose. He wore a navy blue sweater and black trousers as well as some dirty brown hiking boots. He also noticed the male wearing gloves much like his own.
"Hello?" Clay called to the male, alerting him of the younger males presence. "Are you what they call Mega?"
'Depends,' The man signed, standing up and dusting himself off. 'Who's asking?'
"I am, actually." Clay said, walking closer to the male, who didn't seem to be bothered by the younger males presence at all, almost as if he was expecting him. "I am-"
'Clay 'Dream' Powell, son of Lady Powell, the Royal seamstress for the kingdom of Dorilaf.' The male cut him off. 'I know who you are.'
"Wha-" The younger male was cut off again by the older male, who gestures for him to follow, which he did.
The inside of the cabin was just as quaint as the outside. A fireplace, some furniture and walls that were decorated with paintings, flowers, candles, and other various things. It looked peaceful, which, comparing to its owner, was quite shocking.
'Sit.' The older male demanded, gesturing to a wooden chair in a sort of dining area.
The masked man didn't need to be told twice.
'So, Clay, What brings you to my little neck of the woods?' He asked, sitting down in an opposite chair.
"What makes you think I didn't just stumble here?" Clay asked, and earned a 'do you really think I'm that stupid?' look from the male.
'You were clearly looking for me since you asked if I was Mega.' He stated. 'So either someone sent you to find me, or they told you that I'm the best man for the job.'
"Damn, you're good. Are a seer or something?" Clay asked.
That made him snicker. 'No, but I'll add that to the list of things people accuse me of being.'
"So, you're just a human?" That earned from the not-so-silent silent male. "Then how did you know who I am?"
'Your mask, dipshit.' He said, earning a confused look from the younger male. 'You weren't George's only friend, you know. We weren't close, not as close as you and him, but he constantly talked about you. Hell, he was the one who made my scarf.' He gestured to the forest green fabric around his face. 'Always prepares for the worst, that one. We tend to ignore him until we have to actually hide our identities.'
Clay nodded, suddenly silent.
'George is in the castle, yes?' Another nod. 'Fine, I'll help you.'
"Really?" Clay asked, surprise evident in his voice.
'Why not? But I need you to, honestly, answer several questions.'
Clay nodded.
'First off, who's the current captain and his right and left hands?'
"The current captain is some kid named Tommy. I don't know much about him other than the fact that he's the captain even though he doesn't look old enough to be potty trained."
That made the mute snicker.
"His right hand is Nick, an old friend of mine and George's. His left hand is Zak, who looks honestly terrifying but I think I know what his weakness could be, but I don't want to hurt my friend like that..."
'Anything regarding Jacob?' The mute asked.
"Who?"
The mute sighed. 'The previous captain of the Royal Guard. He and I were.....close, to say the least. I don't know who started the rumors or why, but eventually it was rumored that I was planning to overthrow or even kill Jacob to become the new captain. At first he didn't believe the rumors, he knew me better than that, but as I became stronger and more calculating, he eventually went to Dave and had be banished.'
Sorrow was evident in the mutes eyes as he recalled the bitter memory.
'Dave said that banishment was mercy, but.....honestly? I wish he executed me instead. I'd much rather be dead than live a life of loneliness, everyone fearing me because they never know what I'm thinking.'
It was silent in the cabin, tension growing before Clay finally decided to break the silence.
"We need to figure out a way to realistically distract the guards around George's meal time, long enough to get to George for a few minutes and discuss a better plan. We've figured out a way to distract a few of the guards, but the palace is swarming with 'em, and lord knows that as long as there's guards, Dave will keep me away from George."
'Oh, well that's simple.' The mute stated.
'I come back.'

"Look Mega, look pretty the flower is!"
'It's a tulip.'
"Yeah, but look how pretty it is!"
'Jacob, it's a white tulip, how can that be pretty?'
"Tch, you're no fun!"
"Mega, can I ask you something?"
'Depends, what do you want to ask?'
"I.....Have you ever been in love?"
'...why...?'
"I'm just curious."
'Are you in love?'
"M-maybe....."
'I don't know if I've ever been in love, if I'm honest.'
"Well.....at least you're honest."

White tulips represent forgiveness, which is perfect for Mega and Zelks relationship in this book.
Basically they both "betrayed" the other. Mega "betrayed" Zelk because of the rumors, and Zelk betrayed Mega by banishing him.
There's gonna be hints of ZelkPVP here and there, but it's not gonna be a major part of the book, same for any other ships in this book (like DNF and Skephalo). There's hints of shipping in this book, but it's not a driving factor.
Honestly man, Mega needs more love. His hilarious, sarcastic, and just an overall mood.
And he's never spoken in a video.
