Chapter Two

Fortis

Brody and Luis walked into my office.

"Lord," Brody said as he bowed. Luis does the same.

"Yes, Brody?" I sat up straight.

"I have interesting news, Lord," Brody said.

"Well, spill it." I said curtly.

"We captured three men, Lord; we put them in the dungeon," Brody informed.

I stood up and smirked. "That is interesting news, very well. Let's start integrating them now." I walked out of my office and towards the dungeon.

Scarlett

I heard chatter in the hallway. I looked around the corner and saw Fortis walking very fast with Brody and Luis trailing behind him.

"Where are you three going?" I crossed my arms.

Fortis stopped walking, turned to me, then smirked at me. "To the dungeon, we have three prisoners." Then he turned around and continued walking, with Brody and Luis still following him.

I stood there, stunned. How the hell do we already have the prisoners?

Katerina

I bumped into someone accidentally. "Sorry." I look up to see Alexander, my older brother.

He looked around, then back at me, then whispered. "I want to see the castle; dad is talking about."

This is shocking.

"Earlier, when dad mentioned it, you didn't look very interested," I replied, crossing my arms.

"Well, that was an act so suspicion wouldn't arise. When I heard the news, I couldn't help but feel excited."

"You drew attention to yourself the second you walked out that office, whether you realized it or not."

"True. But by the time they realize it. It will be too late." Alexander chuckled. "Would you like to come?" He offered.

"No," I replied and rolled my eyes.

I don't want to get caught up in whatever he is doing because I don't want to get in trouble with something I never wanted to do in the first place.

I tried to walk away but felt myself being pulled back; I turned to see Alexander holding my arm.

"Let go of my arm!" I glared at him and yelled that louder than I meant to. I ignored the weird looks the guards and maids gave us.

"Shh!" Alexander said as he let go of my arm.

"Why do I have to go?" I asked, crossing my arms.

"Because I want to see that castle, and I need someone to go with me," Alexander whispered, looking around.

"Why me? Why not Amber or James?"

Alexander scoffed. "When has Amber broken the rules? You know that girl; she is not a rule breaker."

He's got a point.

"And you already know why James isn't the answer. He's an idiot!" He exclaimed.

"Don't talk about our brother that way."

"So, will you go?"

"Ugh, fine." I can't believe I'm doing this.

Alexander smiled, and there was a gleam in his blue eyes. "Really?"

"Yeah. Why do I feel like I'm going to regret this?" I asked.

"You probably will, but I promise we won't get in trouble." He said.

"Okay," I said, trusting Alexander.

"Tomorrow, after breakfast, meet me in the armory room." I nodded, confirming that I understood. "And don't tell anyone about this." He added.

"I won't."

"Good." He nodded, then walked away.

I headed back to my room.

Fortis

We entered the dungeon; I saw three men in three cells. I smirked as I walked up to them. Then I greeted them.

"Welcome to my Dungeon; I hope you have a fantastic stay here. Don't worry; we won't kill you yet." I joked about that last part. I won't kill them; I'm going to see if I can get some money out of this wolf king first.

"Stop," Scarlett said as she nudged me.

"I'm kidding," I said with a smile. "What are your names?"

"Dave." Said a brown-haired and brown-eyed man.

"Matthew." Said a brown-haired and blue-eyed man.

"Ben." Said the blonde-haired and green-eyed man.

"And to be correct, you came from that wolf kingdom, right?"

"Yes. Why did you capture us, Lord? We did nothing wrong." Ben asked; his green eyes showed confusion.

"If you call trespassing nothing wrong, then you don't know how laws work."

"It seems to me that Ben here is the only one who likes talking," Scarlett mentioned.

"Is that a problem, Lady?" He asked.

I smiled and answered for Scarlett. "No, but that will make things easier. Ben, we'll grab you for the interrogation if that's okay with you. No need to waste time and bring all three of you."

"Sounds great; when are we getting out of here, Lord?" Ben asked.

"What's the hurry? Do you have family, Ben?" I asked him.

"No, I just don't like being a prisoner, Lord."

I chuckled at that. "Well, you should have thought about that while you were trespassing. Let's continue this interrogation in the throne room. My feet are killing me." I complained.

I watched as Brody and Luis approached Ben's cell. They took him out and chained his hands together.

We exited the Dungeon and headed to the throne room.

Stephen

It was just Maya and I at dinner.

"Where are our parents?" Maya asked me.

"Hell, if I know? I'm just as confused as you are."

"Maybe something came up. They usually don't miss these family dinners." Maya said.

"Yeah. Anyways dad said something earlier. He doesn't want us going into the forest."

"Unfair, you aren't going to listen to him, are you?" She asked.

"I don't know. I kinda still want to go out there."

Maya smiled. "See, I told you the forest is fun. We should sneak out tomorrow." She suggested.

"Fine, as long as we don't get caught. If we get caught, we have to stop."

"Yeah." She agreed.

"And no going into the forest without me." I reminded her.

"Yes, I know. You told me that before." She rolled her eyes.

It got quiet after she said that.

"Hey, why don't we go find our parents and figure out what they are doing, Instead of being here with us." Maya stood up.

I nodded and stood up, and followed her out the room. "This should be interesting."

We ran into a maid.

"Hi, do you happen to know where our parents are?"

"Yes, Lord. They are in the throne room interrogating prisoners." The maid answered.

"Prisoners? We have prisoners already?" Maya said, confused as she turned to me.

I shrugged my shoulders. "I guess we do. I wonder what the prisoners did?"

"I don't know much. All I know is that." The maid answered.

"Oh no, those poor men," Maya said.

I thanked the maid, and she walked away. "Come on," I told Maya. We walked to the throne room.

I opened the door, and we entered the throne room.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"Children, please come in. Take your seats on the throne." Dad said.

I looked at Maya before taking my seat on my throne, and Maya took her seat.

"Sorry, we couldn't join you two at dinner. We have our hands full at the moment. But since you're here, let me catch you guys up." Dad said. "This person right here is one of the three prisoners my men captured today. They were Trespassing."

"Forgive me, Lord, but we never established a line between the territories." A man with blonde hair and green eyes spoke.

The prisoner has a point.

"That's something I will take care of later. This is Ben; he was the only one who would speak whenever we asked questions, so to save time, we only brought him out of the cell. Plus, he won't escape without his buddies." Dad chuckled.

That is also true. This is going to be hella entertaining. I smiled.
