Dev had heard this quotation a long time back but these were the first words that popped into his head when he saw Sonakshi walk into the banquet hall wearing his mother's sari. Her hair were tied in a bun and were adorning the gajra he gave her. It had started looking a little lifeless but she chose to wear it anyway. The hall was filled with women dressed better than the bride but Dev couldn't keep his eyes off her. In fact, he felt that he would faint in front of her divine glow.

The hall was decorated with tulips and curtains of white and blue theme. The air smelled of itr. The best part of the ambience was the smiles and laughter on everyone's face.

Sonakshi sat on a sofa across Dev. He couldn't have enough of her. He kept his eyes on her face. She couldn't help but blush.

"Hey!" Nisha took the job of the host for the evening. "It takes seconds to fall in love but it takes ages to keep a relationship intact. To stand through the test of times, to put everything at stake for your loved ones is no easy job and those that do it are truly the blessed ones."

Sonakshi's face had the hint of tiredness after the long journey she had to take to see this day but her eyes spoke of the depth of satisfaction she had. From the day she had decided to give love chance to this day where she was at the verge of becoming Mrs. Dixit, the journey had been so difficult yet so inspiring.

"Today we are all here to celebrate the coming together of not just DevAkshi but also the worlds they live in. Ab kitna bhi pyar sabko apni family apna side superior to lagta hi hai. Kyu?"

Both the sides cheered for themselves. Even after the cheers had died down Ladki wale amar rahe could be heard from MunDit.

"Ha! Ha! So to see ki kiska palda bhari hai ek dance face off ho jaaye? Put your hand's together for the bride and the groom's family."

Among the claps and cheers Preeti and Pandit were the first to perform. The mini Deepika and Ranbir were ready to set the stage on fire and get all praises for the bride's side.

Nisha and Ahaan's performance was reserved for the last. As Nisha, the self proclaimed show stopper stood leaning over the edge of a piano and Ahaan began playing it. Dry ice began flowing out of the pipes, giving it a hue of walking in the clouds.

The claps and hoots soared higher and higher and filled the air for this new couple. Nisha helped Sonakshi get up and Dev was brought by Ahaan in centre.

"As much as we dance and enjoy ourselves, the evening will always be incomplete if the bride and groom to be do not celebrate their togetherness with a special dance performance." Ahaan said.

Sonakshi looked at Dev. This wasn't expected! Her sari was getting a bit out of control because of the DJ round. Now, dancing again wasn't a great idea. She looked at the Dev and he assured her that he got it. The dance will not be uncomfortable for her.

"It is time for the bride and groom's performance."

Dev took steps towards Sonakshi and in a perfect gentle man's way he asked her for the dance. She made a face as if she was obliging him with her yes and walked with him in the middle of dance floor. The dry ice was back to create the effect of being in the clouds.

The Sangeet ended on a happy note. The minutes were moving forward slowly and the day of their wedding had almost arrived. Bliss and nervousness was making their way in the hearts' of DevAkshi. Ecstatic emotions captured each heart as the night was over and the dawn of the haldi ceremony was about to knock on their door.
