A TALE OF REALISATION

In life , we come across many situations. Some give us happiness and some give us pain. Sometimes that happiness and pain cannot be expressed. This write up talks about the pain in the form of a story of a boy who faced this pain silently.

Once upon a time there used to be a college boy who used to helped his classmates in every possible manner he could. In the pandemic times when no one could venture out to buy books for online lectures, that boy Pritesh went out to a library and got all the pics of the books and made a link for his class mates.

He did this for four semesters improvising in each. His classmates used to call him various names as God, Saviour, etc etc. He was well aware of the fact that they're just using him for their deeds and as their use ends they are gonna leave him. Still he acted like he does not know about it and he kept helping them.

He had another career despite his college life and when he started to shift focus on his own self they started hating him and saying that he does not care for them in an implied manner. Still despite Pritesh's career he took out time for helping them but not as he used to earlier.

After a month, Pritesh was no more a saviour , a god , etc etc and was not even asked by his colleagues that how he is. Even Pritesh stopped replying their help texts and started being selfish. After few months online exams were on head so again Pritesh started getting texts on how he was how is he doing and stuff. As Pritesh was well aware of their intentions he ignored their texts so they started calling him.

Pritesh decided that he will help only 5 people and he stood on his promise. He helped 5 genuine people in the exams and got hate from others whom he didn't help. Exams got concluded and he again stopped getting messages from his colleagues. As he was well aware of their intentions, this time he didn't care much this time and moves on in his life and that phase got over.

After a few months Pritesh was going through his contact list on WhatsApp and saw an amazing scenario there. Half of his colleagues had deleted his number and other half had blocked him. Though he wasn't much moved seeing this, but he had tears in his eyes. The few colleagues who didn't delete his contact or blocked him were the ones who don't text him or he doesn't text them. This pain is the one no one would actually understand. The left few were the only ones who were genuinely Pritesh's friends. Every one had moved on in his life and only Pritesh was left behind.

It's a saying that college is the best time and best place where you make friends for life. This is not completely true as some people like Pritesh even being the good and helpful one couldn't get this saying to be true. Adding to the write up I would quote - An old saying goes:- do such things that people remember you. Used to work in olden times but in today's world you'll only be remembered and used till you are of use. After that nobody remembers you.

I would like to conclude by saying that not all stories have happy endings and not every person's life is happy. It's all that he or she needs to adjust and find happiness in small things. Some chapters need to be closed so that we can open new ones in our life.

So do you think Pritesh stopped here? This question I leave it to you all to think on it. Hope you enjoyed reading this story and could connect with Pritesh and his realisations.
