Neil - Doctor how is Ananya ?

Doctor - Congratulations, she is pregnant. ( smiles )

Neil was flabbergasted after listening doctor's words. He just rushed inside the room and saw Avni sitting there with blank expressions.

She looked at him and tears roll down from her eyes. Neil's heart clenched after seeing her state and he immediately ran towards her. Avni buried her face in her palms and was crying bitterly while Neil was standing there helpless.

The flashes of her brutal past were playing in her mind continuously.

You are a sin child Avni.

You are illegitimate.

I don't know this girl, she is no one to me.

See how I killed your mother. ( laughing )

You are illegitimate.

You won't get my family's name.

Illegitimate.

Illegitimate.

Illegitimate.

You are a curse.

Illegitimate girl with no name.

Avni - Noooo !! ( screamed )

Neil - Ananya. ( concerned )

Avni kept her hand on the left side of her chest thinking how Dayavanti shot her. She rubbed her hand in her hairs while her tears weren't stopping.

Neil - Ananya listen...

Avni - No no no ( shaking her head ). How can I do this ? I am pregnant. What will society think about my baby ? They will consider my baby as illegitimate. He or she will get the worst life. No no no no ( shivering in fear )

Neil - Ananya calm down. ( caressing her hairs )

Avni - I.... I... I can't give my baby the life of an illegitimate child. I don't want my baby to struggle for his or her name. I can't do this. I don't want to bring him in this world.... no no I can't harm my baby as well. What's his or her fault ? No, I can't do this but what should I do then.

She was continuously mumbling without realising what she is speaking. 

Neil - Ananya come into your senses. ( shaking her shoulders )

Avni just looked at him with glassy eyes.

Neil - Do you even realise what are you saying ? ( slightly angered ) You think that our baby will live the life of an illegitimate child. How can you even think like this ? ( unbelievably ) And don't you dare to harm my baby, I swear you will see my worst side if you plan to do so. ( sternly )

Avni was speechless. She was just sitting there like an obedient child listening to him.

Neil - ( cups her face ) I know that we both are going through inner turmoil after whatever happened that day but this baby doesn't have any mistake then why he or she should be punished Ananya. He deserve to see this world and live his or her life happily. Our baby deserves all the happiness of this world.

Avni - Why don't you understand Neil ? ( teary eyes ) This baby won't get his or her happiness cos this society will create hurdles in his way. They won't let him live in peace. Everyday he or she will be taunted, his existence will be termed as curse. I don't want to give my baby a life in which he or she will be termed as illegitimate. I will go to London so that no one can speak against my child. I won't live here.

Neil - No Ananya, our baby is not illegitimate. I won't let anyone question my blood. He/She deserves the entire love and happiness of this world and I won't hesitate to take this responsibility and claim my love for him. He will get my name, he will get all his rights. And what did you just say that you will go away from me along with my baby. ( unbelievably ). How can you even think like this huh !! You are not the only one who is going to take decisions regarding our child, I am having equal rights as I am the father of this child and you can't snatch my blood from me. Never.

Avni - Your marriage is fixed with Riya.

Neil - I will break that marriage. This will be the best for all of us especially for our baby.

Avni - Neil you....

Neil didn't let her complete.

Neil - I don't want any other arguments. We both will raise our baby together for his or her better life. 

Avni - You are ready to leave Riya for our baby ? ( tears flowing from her eyes )

Her mind was giving her more reasons to differentiate between Ashish Mehta and Neil Khanna. Ashish Mehta is a coward while Neil Khanna is brave enough to take right  stand. Ashish always runs away from his responsibilities while Neil always fulfil his responsibilities. Ashish is not trustworthy person while Neil is the man of words and principles. Neil was the only person who was forcing her to think positively. Though, she was considering herself at her Ayesha ma's place but she never gave Ashish Mehta's place to Neil cos she knows very well that Ashish Mehta can't be like Neil.

Neil - Do you really think that I will leave you and my baby alone in this condition. Never Ananya. ( welled up eyes )

Avni - Neil ( broken voice ) I....

Neil - Shh !! ( keeping his finger on her lips ) You are not a burden on me nor this child. If you were going to spill out the words like burden and favour then please don't. This is my responsibility and right. Please don't take any impulsive decision Ananya cos now you are not alone, you are having a small life growing inside you.

Avni kept her hand on her belly and reality dawned upon her. She was here for revenge, for destroying Mehta family but now she is not alone, she is having a big responsibility. She can't risk her life cos it will harm her baby. What she was going through, no one can understand this. Some happiness while feeling the little one inside her, some concern regarding his or her safety, some sadness as she is also standing at the point where her mother was standing few years back, astonished after seeing Neil's reaction. She was just lost in her own world not knowing what to do.

Neil kept his hand on top of hers caressing it gently.

Neil - I know you are going through a long trail of different sentiments but Ananya we both need to face this situation. Running away is not an option.

Avni just looked at him.

Avni - If you will break your marriage with Riya then it will be considered as betrayal.

Neil - If I will marry her then that will be termed as sin. It will spoil four  lives. Maybe you, me and Riya will manage at some point of time but my baby will suffer the most and I can't do this with my child. ( glassy eyes )

Avni - What you want to do ?

Neil - I want to marry you for our child.

Avni - But.....

Neil - I know we both don't get well along with each other but can't we sacrifice our egos for this little one. ( caressing her belly ) Ananya, I never care about society but like you I am also concerned for my baby.

Avni - How will you convince your family Neil ? Its not that easy.

Neil - If we are determined enough then everything is possible. I know, we will face several difficulties but I am ready to do anything for our baby.

Avni - What about Mehta family ?

Neil - I will tell them about the same.

Avni - Nooooooo !! ( screams )

Everything came back into her mind.

The way Dayavanti killed her mother.

Snatched her brother from her.

Provoked Ashish Mehta against his own daughter.

The way Ayesha said her last few words in her arms.

The way Mehta family treated her.

Everything was roaming in her mind.

Avni - ( in mind ) I need to keep my baby away from Dayavanti or else she will kill my baby. She have already snatched my everything now I can't loose my baby. No, never. I can face Dayavanti but I won't let her come near my baby.

Neil - Ananya. ( patted her shoulder )
Where are you lost ? What happened ?

Avni - Neil, Mehta family shouldn't know about our baby.

Neil - But.....

Avni - Please Neil, don't question me regarding this. ( broken voice ) I don't want to loose my baby. Please.

Neil wipes her tears and hugs her, caressing her hairs for calming her down.

Neil - I am there for you, I won't let anything happen to you both. ( caressing her hairs )
